Second Balance Patch Coming Next Week - Nerf to Millhouse & Larger BG Patch Coming
Dean Ayala just tweeted out the names of the cards that will be nerfed (and buffed!) as well as some details about Battlegrounds game mode, namely that Millhouse Manastorm Hero will get nerfed and that a larger scale BG Patch is planned for mid expansion. Read the details below:
Quote from BlizzardThe second Ashes of Outland balance patch is planned for early next week. Looking to make changes to
- Battlefiend
- Altruis the Outcast
- Glaivebound Adept
- Kael'thas Sunstrider
- Bad Luck Albatross
- Frenzied Felwing
- Open the Waygate
- Bloodbloom
- and Sacrificial Pact.
Details will come later on official channels.
Quote from BlizzardThis update will also include a buff to Libram of Justice and a nerf to Millhouse in BG. We'll continue to monitor live game data and player feedback and make any further changes as necessary.
Quote from BlizzardOur expectation is that changes will slow down a little after this, at least in terms of card nerfs in constructed game modes. We have a larger battlegrounds update planned around mid-expansion. We hope you are enjoying Ashes of Outland and look forward to hearing your feedback.
Finally they are nerfing Millhouse Manastorm that card has been dominating the meta for too long but these nerfs probably won't be enough.
No, DH - probably about Altruis' power spike.
The only class that can go from 0 cards in hand to then draw 7, clear your board, fill there board and also deal 10 face damage in one turn. Thats fun and fair...
You are talking about Mage or Rogue, did I guess right?
that's rich ;)
You don't need to test anything, just take a peek at the cards dh has.. most of them are strong aggro cards half of them synergizing with hero power and other half giving cycle. Nothing in this class even remotely resembles control.
Did Blizzard actually play test Demon Hunter? They obviously overshot the power level by a ridiculous amount.
I really hope these nerfs will bring it in line, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up needing a third nerf.
They really, really wanted folks to embrace the new class. If no one played it the embarrassment would be huge. But yes, they obviously overshot their target. Demon Hunter being the same in Standard and Wild isn't as much of a factor in Wild; but it's clearly strong in Standard.
It kind kind of pisses me off, because it looks like they were willing to accept the class being completely broken if it got people excited to play it. That's really NOT how you create an enjoyable playing experience for most players.
This is two expansions in a row that they clearly have not tested their cards. Shaman last expansion and DH this one. There's no excuse. People aren't even doing anything inventive, just using the cards as intended.
Fixed!
I've been playing HS for 3 years straight, always pre-ordering each expansion. THis is the first time in 3 years, I decided not to pre-order, and I haven't been playing at all. After reading all of your comments guys, all I can say is that I'm really happy to have switched to Runeterra (also given that I have not spent a single cent on it so far).
Do you know how broken Agro DH is? I took the standard list, added Leeroy in place of 1 Adept, and went to Wild.
Quest Highlander mage had to Reno, Zola Reno, take his quest extra turn to Alex his face, and they still lost (in Diamond 9 btw).
There's a nasty Kael'thas Druid deck in Wild right now. It's easier than ever to hatch Waygate and throw cheap giants onto the battlefield. And I miss Jaraxxus. He's hardly OP but now that Pact can be retrieved from Zephrys he's utterly unplayable.
Golly, I can't argue with any of the cards being looked at in the upcoming patch. Like wow.
Upvoted for saying 'Golly'.
If I had a dollar for how many times I read "Good thing you're not a dev" on here. It's an overused phrase. Get something new.
:P
LOL five years from now we will remenber these DH cards and will realize how broken they used to be ...
nice to know that they are correcting this as fast as possible ! Nice blizzard
5 years from now the power creep will be so massive we will se 1 mana 3/3s with powerful battle cries and death rattles.
Yeah! After all who could've thought that a 1 mana hero power giving you 1 attack this turn, along with a 1 Mana 2/2 demon gaining 1 attack for each time your hero attacks, would've led to this?!?!?
Did anyone else come here to see what was this Millhouse nerf? XD
