Second Balance Patch Coming Next Week - Nerf to Millhouse & Larger BG Patch Coming
Dean Ayala just tweeted out the names of the cards that will be nerfed (and buffed!) as well as some details about Battlegrounds game mode, namely that Millhouse Manastorm Hero will get nerfed and that a larger scale BG Patch is planned for mid expansion. Read the details below:
Quote from BlizzardThe second Ashes of Outland balance patch is planned for early next week. Looking to make changes to
- Battlefiend
- Altruis the Outcast
- Glaivebound Adept
- Kael'thas Sunstrider
- Bad Luck Albatross
- Frenzied Felwing
- Open the Waygate
- Bloodbloom
- and Sacrificial Pact.
Details will come later on official channels.
Quote from BlizzardThis update will also include a buff to Libram of Justice and a nerf to Millhouse in BG. We'll continue to monitor live game data and player feedback and make any further changes as necessary.
Quote from BlizzardOur expectation is that changes will slow down a little after this, at least in terms of card nerfs in constructed game modes. We have a larger battlegrounds update planned around mid-expansion. We hope you are enjoying Ashes of Outland and look forward to hearing your feedback.
They literally explained that their internal testing gravitated towards Control DH and they didn't realize aggro would be such a problem
A few dozen testers can't possibly test nearly as much as millions of players can
Seriously? Even DH's Initiate set alone, Scream "Aggro" and they didnt realise, how this will turn out, at least for standard..
On the one hand, fair point, on the other hand, the great majority of players will play aggro if given the choice.
Which is admitting their internal testing is pure incompetence.
So you think that all of their testers only tried one type of deck for a new class? That seems like a huge hole in their testing. I can understand a testing team not finding the best builds and not finding strange combos that eventually break the game, but to not even try to throw together a simple aggro deck that is not hard to come up with? That seems like a major miss.
It feels like they didn't test out the DH class at all with them having so many changes this fast.
A smart nerf would be for albatross: Battlecry: Gain deathrattle shuffle two 1/1 albatross into your opponent's deck. This way priests resurrecting the minion, and rogue abusing the battlecry via shadowstep and stuff could be countered.
And what is with freaking op Warlock? Mabye dark Skies?
Finally albatros
So.... they think Priestess is... fine?
most people dont even run priestess
No wild res priest? This shit exists for years
It's a bottom tier deck right now.
It was already only Tier 3 when Barnes got nerfed.
If you still have problems facing Big Priest with a meta deck, you likely have major misconceptions about how to play the game.
I start to love blizzard
this year i'm getting back not only yogg saron, but also jaraxxus
and by some unkown miracle, res priest players transformed to razakus players, what is also nice.
: * : * : *
Even if Sacrificial Pact is getting completly removed Jaraxxus will still be bad. Sacrificial Pact became popular just last month and it is not the reason that Jaraxxus is not competitive for couple of years.
jaraxxus doenst even give you 5 armor, it sucks
I challenge you to show how competitive Jaraxxus is !
Blizzard: "Demon Hunter with 1 or 2 more cards"

Also Blizzard:
So nobody cares about Rogue going unchecked?
