Galakrond's Awakening - The Aftermath Card Review
In the end, now that all cards have been revealed and played with for at least 1 week, it's time to try and make sense of it all and see what we got with this Adventure. We took stats and reasoned opinions and gut feelings and a dash of popularity and made lists of what were the best and worst cards of this set in all manner of categories.
As always with posts like this, it's all subject to opinion, so if you feel differently about any of these cards, let us know in the comments!

Chopshop is actually not bad in Wild Mech Hunter. I was able to get a ton of reload with him because he was not prime target on my board. And that's a deck that runs out of fuel fast if you don't hit Jeeves.
Did a quick count and only 3 of the Galakrond's Awakening cards made it into the top 100 most played cards.
Kind of a tough buy for 20 bucks lol... At least you also get some solo content.
I don't think that was the aim in the first place. Top 100 most played is a measure of flexibility. This adventure had niche cards filling in the gaps nicely.
When can I craft these cards? Don't wanna buy all the chapters for just 1 card.
you cant craft them.
you can craft them when they rotate out of standard.(so when they are wild only cards)
Approximately in April 2021
This list is terrible
Oh yeah? What's your list.
Rotnest Drake is so insane. May not be played so much right now but it's powerlevel is over 9000.
Who's list is this? I know my personal list may differ based on opinion but is this list backed by any actual data? Or is this just a list of opinions as well?
Shaman's cards don't seem really disappointing, I like the effect of the weapon and the swing that evolution can generate. Chaos Gazer is more disappointing and horrible.
Rotnest Drake is better for arena, I have not seen any hunter play an archetype of dragons, most play face hunter.
Are you kidding? Rotnest Drake is one of the best cards in the format and Dragon Hunter is rocking the ladder right now.
When was the last time you played ? Dragon Hunter is one of the highest WR deck on ladder atm lol
Yeah. Everything in this message is wrong. Rotnest Dragon made Dragon Hunter a top deck, and going for dragon synergy in arena isn't always a smart move. Neither is having "destroy a random enemy", since arena generally faces small, wide boards.
Chaos gazer on the other hand is a great arena card. Hopefully put pressure on the opponent to dish out a possible synergy card they're saving.
This is my opinion and my experience, it is not my problem that every time I fight against hunter is always a face hunter.
I HAVE NEVER HAD TO FIGHT AGAINST HUNTER DRAGONS BECAUSE IT IS ALWAYS FACE HUNTER.
No matter the tiers of certain cards, Blizzard will always find a way to make them work in future expansions so you can get the adventure. It's how they work.
Chaos Gazer never feels bad to play but I guess it is the meta, where there's not a lot of expensive things being played (at least in my experience) and I always end up hitting their coin or the one card they can just play on curve anyway. I think out of about 20 hits, I've only ever managed to discard 1 of my opponent's cards. It definitely does not fit in the disrupt warlock in wild, as I thought it would, at the moment it fits into aggro more.
