This will be for sure an AMAZING EXPANSION!!!
25 Mana 7/5 Lifesteal, Rush, Divine Shield. Costs 1 less for each mana spent on spell this game. FUCK YES! (Now Control Paladin just needs a win condition against other Controls XD)
something like achievements
HEY they have an Achievements folder in the logs folder now... so maybe ... eventually..... maybe... soon tm
No new tribe, Overkill mechanics look meh. Need to see more spirits to decide if I like them.
Dealing more damage to a minion than it has health. Let's say hitting a 1-health minion with a 3 attack weapon
I dont know what it does but if i have to guess then it when you kill the thing or do more damage to an minion than it have life do something.
Probably when you kill something you can attack again.
Yes! Even Pirate Rogue and Druid getting better!
And that Tiger art is so sick i am gonna instacraft it no matter what.
Im dissapointed that they only showed new DLC. HS could use some UI refreshment or something imho...
Just what we needed, a double combo'd Edwin VanCleef. With 5 mana, rogues can go apesh!t.
I don't think any Rogue would want to play a 4 mana 0/3, no matter how good the payoff is. Sometimes it'll stay dead in their hand for several turns and then they just lose.
The paladin legendary is so bad holy shit, no support for that card can convince me otherwise.
to explain, the stats are VERY bad the mana cost is ridiculous and the heal is barely worth it, this could be printed on a 10 mana minion WITHOUT the requirement of using mana on spells and it still wouldn't see lots of play.
To top it all off it doesn't even have charge so it can't act as a finisher of sorts, so if your opponent has no minions you won't even get to benefit from the heal (also not to mention how should paladin spend 25 mana on spells in a single game, lay on hands ? sound the bells ? 100% dust)
Hum, he's a late game swinger. He'll see play.
We still have 132 cards left to see. How about you wait before spouting your half-baked opinion?
Zilliax is often used in decks with no Mechs. The Tiger is fair and powerful at 8 mana. A couple Spikeridged Steed's and a Consecrate in a control deck would have it down to 9. How about Call To Arms? Playing this card for 5 or less mana will be worth it in competitive decks, and that's even before knowing any of the other Paladin spells that will be revealed for this set. I'm not saying that control Paladin will overtake odd/aggro, but the card is very good, even if it's not meta-defining.
I think you’re looking at this card in the wrong mindset. Though I don’t blame you... we have been living in an aggressive only Paladin world for almost a year now. I mean... obviously Odd Paladin doesn’t want this.
But I see this as a tool that will help other Paladin archetypes climb up out of tier four. A more midrange or control type deck would probably auto include for a late game swing. Paladin has been slowly getting lifesteal support cards that have seen little play or experimentation.
Could it flop? Sure. But it’s waaay to early to call for auto dust status.
ok i have to say maybe i was a little to mad while seeing this as a control pally main but my point is if you spend 25 mana (on spells only mind you!) the effect should better be amazing or game winning.
Take nzoth for example, you don't need to sacrifice a lot in wild to get good value with a nzoth right ? at worst you'd put in some minions like sludge belcher and sylvanas that you'd play either way and guess what you get amazing value for sacrificing almost nothing.
For this card you actually have to make your deck actively worse, you need to draw it AND it doesn't help you to win the game by its own (also it being legendary means you get it less consistently)
Maybe im wrong in it being literally unplayable however i doubt that this will ever be a staple, the effect just isn't strong enough for it to be an auto include for control decks.
Zilliax is much better than this card, imagine if you would get an upgraded version of zilliax in odd warrior if you'd spend 25 mana on spells prior, would you do it ? probably not (also not to mention zilliax has taunt which makes it MUCH better than this minion is)
And if you include stuff like call to arms you'd have to make a control shell that fits with it (don't forget this) so far the only high cost spell that is really worth running is spikeridged steed and that is about to rotate in the next 3 months, if the paladin spells aren't absolutely amazing then this is unplayable)
Now that you mention it though id much rather just play zilliax instead.
Huge disappointment so far. Most boring announcement ever. And most boring new cards also.
Wow! I like overkill a lot. Rogue git brann for standard too, yay!
