New Warrior Legendary Weapon Reveal: Woecleaver
A new Warrior card has been revealed by ahqEsports. It was given to them as a secondary reveal since Blizzard's Hearthstone Latin America Facebook page posted their reveal early, ruining it.

Not Thunderfury! 😡 Now we riot!
I hope the hunter legendary will be Thunderfury. That would be hilarious and awesome.
On its face, Woecleaver seems to have the same problem that The Runespear has - its effect can actually be quite powerful in the right deck, but an 8 mana 3/3 is a hard sell because that late in the game, you're not going to be all that excited about swinging a 3 damage weapon.
That said, unlike The Runespear, I think this has pretty good odds of seeing play (at least if Recruit Warrior is a thing). Assuming your deck is full of powerful minions (8 cost and higher), this is actually a pretty good deal - three 8 mana minions for the price of one. And thanks to Dead Man's Hand, a Recruit Warrior deck has the ability to make sure their deck consistently has enough minions to get value from recruit (whereas drawing all of your big minions in Big Priest can leave you pretty salty). Contrast that to The Runespear, with an effect that will frequently give you valuable board clear effects, but isn't guaranteed to get you tempo gains, and this already looks better.
Additionally, dealing a mere 3 weapon damage in the late game isn't nearly as bad for Warrior as it is for Shaman - Control Warrior decks are famous for having tons of armor, and can leverage cards like Execute to clear of injured opposing minions without taking further face damage or bad trades on board.
I think Woecleaver is much better than Runespear. Runespear you just pray for good RNG. Woecleaver instantly pulls out a minion from your deck and obviously you will play it in a deck with only big minions and probably it will be a control archetype. This weapon has a chance to see play because it pulls a minion right away and if you get lucky and it doesn't get oozed pulling 2 or 3 is insane.
CW is back! yahooo
This, without the sarcasm.
Dead Man's Hand is a card.
Why would you need battlecrys when you run Deathwing and Deathwing, Dragonlord etc ...
So this is how you do an 8 mana 3/3 weapon. Unlike the shaman one.
the bellyaching in this thread is pretty sad. This weapon, in the right deck, is bonkers. CLEARLY the meta is going to change to at least a mid range if not control from all the cards we've seen so far. A spell heavy warrior deck with only mid range to big minions is going to LOVE this weapon. Even an agro/midrange deck in the new meta will play this card, just use all charge minions like, Kor'kron Elite or Grommash Hellscream, Leeroy Jenkins, and dont forget Charged Devilsaur! Hell even a combo of charge and taunt minions would be great.
Here is an idea! Instead of trying to force a card into your net deck meta, try to forge your own ideas around interesting new cards?
When you play cards like Kor'kron Elite you won't play an 8 mana 3/3 weapon that pulls some random garbage you don't want to pull.
I will very happily play two charge threats turn 8 in control warrior.
Kork'ron is a perfectly good card to get off of this. It's Doomsayer to watch out for.
Stay within your means. Dust your golden cards and stick to the cards you are able to pull. Can't put money into the game then don't be upset at cards you don't have.
Would have thought this will be the hunter weapon and much cheaper..
Let's welcome the Y'shaarj meta.
It won't be good in the first few weeks (too many weapon removal) but after a while, it will be played.
First, yes, it does cost 8 mana, but if it survive 3 turns, even if you summon only three 2 mana minions, you're still getting your money worth.
Two: Cards like Upgrade! or Bloodsail Cultist can add value
Three: There's a lot of charge minions that could add extra quick damage. Yes, Kor'kron Elite is a staple, but Leeroy Jenkins or even a buffed Southsea Deckhand could do the final blow.
The biggest drawback of this card is how long we will need weapon removal in our arsenal. Nothing would be worst than using this weapon and pulling our weapon removal minion from our deck.
It's not a pirate warrior weapon. This is a wallet warrior card. Pull your ysera and win da game.
So you think an 8 mana 3/3 weapon should be played in pirate warrior.. ? in a world where pirate warrior has been pushed out by tempo and control? If the game has lasted until turn 8 and you're playing pirate/tempo warrior and using this weapon you have already lost.
Upgrade! is too slow and probably not worth a slot over a solid body or removal. Bloodsail cultist requires you to run some sort of pirate package, at which point an 8 mana 3/3 weapon is the last thing you need. (especially considering you might not draw it, swinging for 3 damage on turn 8 and pulling out a 3/4 is hilariously bad.) Swinging it to pull out other tiny pirates on turn 8+ is insanely bad. Instead of Upgrade! or Bloodsail cultist, you could MAYBE get away with captain greenskin because you wouldn't need other pirates and pulling it from your deck is...slightly less bad...slightly..
As for using it to get charge minions out... I mean... If you're playing an aggro/tempo deck and you're looking to finish them off on turn 8 you'd probably be better off just running some other high cost card. In a best case scenario, turn 8 you need 9 damage, you play the weapon and draw leeroy. The other 90% of the time you're bringing out early game minions from your deck, many without charge, or are small bodies because you're an aggro/tempo deck. Your final push to try to end the game is 8 mana for 3 damage and a 1-4 mana minion... At that point you might as well run gorehowl and swing face with it, it does as much damage as the 3/3 weapon pulling or kor'kron or more than the 3/3 + deckhand.... If you're going to run upgrades! and cultists you might as well just run gorehowl instead for great removal or face damage.
This weapon has no place in anything other than a very large wallet warrior control deck.
Normally, I save much of my dust for fun goldens, I have the golden Un'Goro Warrior quest (Fire Plume's heart), for golden Sulfuras, and golden Hero Power, I have golden Scourgelord Garrosh for golden Shadowmourne, and golden Hero Power. Close to getting my golden warrior, but I can tell you this is not on my list of Golden Cards for Warrior.
Three cheers for "No Cleaver"
