Hearthpwn

My favorite memory is when I was gifted a closed beta key by a mod.  I was so happy.  I'd been watching streams of Hearthstone on twitch and I knew I'd enjoy it.  Sure enough it was my favorite game for a long time.

Sadly the love is dead for me.  I've been keeping my account alive enough to do my daily quests, but I don't even really know the cards from the latest expansion.  Hearthstone is in such a bad place right now I almost wish they'd give it the WoW Classic treatment and wipe the slate clean and start over.  Get back to minion combat without so many insane cheat cards.  Bring the power level back down a ton and get back to actually trying to counter what your opponent is doing.  Alas I think the death spiral is out of control now.  It has even claimed Hearthpwn.  I still visit the site every day for Hearthstone news, but I guess even that is over now.

Thank you so much for everything your staff did for this game community.  This site is amazing and you deserve all the credit for a job well done.

Bonus: memeing with maly rogue pays off!

I totally didn't pay attention to the special rules and just picked maly rogue to try to finish a rogue quest.

I mean I'll have to see it in action I guess, but this sounds really boring to watch.  Unless the classes are going to be balanced I'm just picturing all the druidstone, shamanstone, hunterstone, etc. tournaments.  I don't really want to watch that.  Sure, there's some rock, paper, scissors where you try to counter the best decks but I've never watched a rock, paper, scissors tournament before and I don't plan to.

I feel like this is another issue for Hearthstone right now.  The top tier tournament pros are not big personalities on twitch.  I look at this lineup and I just shrug.  There's no one in there that I want to cheer for.  I likely won't watch any of the winter championship.  This is getting really bad really quickly for Hearthstone.  They need to make big moves and fast if they want to make a comeback.  They've never been a fast moving team in the past.

My interest in Hearthstone has been decreasing for a while.  I'm just playing my daily quests and logging off at this point.  This only makes things sound worse to me.  So glad that dota 2's auto chess came out of no where.  That game is even more addicting than beta hearthstone to me.

Rogue is king of this brawl IMO.  Cold blood is just too strong.  Flappy bird and questing adventurer can deal massive damage quickly.  Just go all in on damage and finish them quickly.

Well none of that excites me.  Come on Blizzard you're better than this.  Man I'd be sad if I went all the way to Blizzcon and that's all that was announced.

I mean I like that Hearthstone is getting an expansion but I mean they're scheduled now.  We know when they're coming.  Warcraft 3 remastered before doing Warcraft 4 seems super lame.  Nothing for Starcraft at all?  What about the mini-campaigns?  Did Nova Corps. fail that hard?  Diablo 2.5 with everything you hated about Diablo 3 now with mobile controls?  No thanks.  Not into WoW, HotS, or Overwatch.  So, I guess it's just a down year.

So, when they say they "initially" tested giggling inventor at 6 mana do they mean before Boom's Day released?  That's how the word "initially" should be interpreted, but I feel like they're really trying to say they experimented with nerfing giggling inventor to 6 mana but that it was still too strong.  Either way it makes their card testing before expansions are released sound bad.

Still I'm happy that they're making changes.  I actually expected much more to be changed.  This seems unlikely to change things up too much.  Sure Quest Rogue will get knocked down a peg, but it's just going to reshuffle the pecking order of the same decks that have been played since witchwood was released.  I don't really expect something new to suddenly appear.

I think warlocks had enough combo breakers, gnomeferatu is a great disrupter without downside, also demonic project...

Why th u would add Void Contract on warlocks???

U could choose any other class, they need a combo breaker

I liked Dungeon Runs more, I think the characters and bosses in Monster Hunt are both too powerful. So you either stomp the run with OP deck or lose to absolute bullshit.

But it's still a lot of fun, definitely better than the old Adventures.

There's no need for 2 Possessed Lackey if you're running only 2 Voidlord as demons.

technically it should not be difficult for blizzard to re-create the board state before the disconnect... 

in this case, any disconnect, the players can just resume the game instead of re-playing the game...

but they are a small indie company, whether they want to put money and time into a feature that only see play during tournament... i doubt so... 

Take out Stegodon And add Nesting Roc

Just such a better card, its not hard to get the taunt (You can just play Alleycat + Nesting Roc turn 6 and get the taunt if you don't having anything on board) And the stats are much better.
