TardisGreen posted a message on New Hunter Card Reveal - Bloodscalp StrategistPosted in: NewsBecause of DK Rexxar, Hunter has become the class with the most dynamic game decisions. IOW, it is the hardest class to play.
I assume you don't play Hunter.

DMH_Meta posted a message on We need Kingsbane to be nerfed.Posted in: Wild FormatSorry but no. Your issue is the same in standard for ppl playing control vs shudderwock, or any kind of combo deck to be honest.
Sorry but your complaints should be void if u look at kingsbane as a combo deck it aint OTK but it does need its pieces to come together. thats why its good against control. u aint seeing nobody saying otk decks should be nerfed.
Plus Kingsbane Rogue hard counters Big Priests keeping them in check and preventing wild of being a 90% big priest. thats why theres aggro too so it counters Kingsbane. All in a good day of balance.
that aside this seems to be a case for the salt thread. Can some kind soul redirect this fellow to the salt thread? thx

We know it doesn't work like noble sacrifice, he's just saying it would be really good (as in, OP) if it did.

Compare it to Jaraxxus:
1- Jaraxxus sets your health to 15, either effectively dealing 15 damage or healing for 14. This always heals for 5.
2- Jaraxxus allows you to summon a 6/6 for 2 each turn. If your theory is right, this will summon a 3/6 for 2 that freezes each turn.
3- Jaraxxus give you a 3/8 weapon, Jaina summons a 3/6 that freezes immediatly and the elementals get lifesteal.
Until now, I'd say they are both very similar in power level, and Jaraxxus is good. I think this should be quite alright, at least for a tier 3 deck perhaps.

That's the description of Alley Cat right there!

Or you go face and let the opponent deal with it, making it a 4 mana deal 3 damage to face (Sinister Strike-1 mana), restore 6 health (Flash Heal-1 mana (Holy Light is too bad to count )) and a 3/2 (2 mana in general). Seems alright to me.

Abomination is 3 mana cheaper than this guy, I think +4 health and Battlecry instead of Deathratte is a fine trade for playing it 3 turns later.

It's true that not all cards can be competitive at once, but I think buffing cards is a good way to reduce the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 4 decks, leading the general win-rates closer to 50% and increasing variety, that's why I support buffing bad and unplayable cards to a semi-competitive level. I'm not saying I want enough buffs to make Malygos Rogue or Quest Shaman or Jade Rogue viable in tournaments, but if people are less punished for taking them into the ladder, that adds more variety and as such more fun to the game.

I have a whole folder with cards I think should be buffed, including most notably Booty Bay Bodyguard, Stormpike Commando, Priestess of Elune, Felguard, Reckless Rocketeer, Silverback Patriarch, Faceless Behemoth and many more which are simply awful and I can't imagine ever being good.
As far as why they don't do it, they cite a few reasons, particularly that they want players to feel like they're getting better cards (And make it insultingly impossible to compete with their starter collections), they are afraid of overbuffing cards and it might reduce design space .
I think it's because they can't be lazy and sell cards like Ice Rager, Evil Heckler, Huge Toad and Pompous Thespian instead of updating old useless cards to be as good as they are.

Wyrmrest Agent, and Fierce Monkey are class cards, I don't consider them into any Strictly Better discussions since Voidwalker has been better than Goldshire Footman since Beta.
