Shaman has this card called Lava Burst and I think it can kill minions with 5 health :P
The game you described came down to a coin flip, and I’m sure you were on the better side of the flip sometime on your arena run.
Shaman does well for me in arena too. Keep playing Shaman and fight the Mage and Paladin cancer with me :)
Why is Mage better than Shaman in arena? Because the best classes have the best hero powers. Arena is currently tempo focused, so the hero powers that give you the most tempo do the best. So this is how I rank the classes.
Mage and Paladin on top. Rogue, Druid, and Warlock are tier 2. Hunter, Shaman, and Priest are tier 3. Warrior last, but I still play it because I bought a $10 skin for it ;)
How do you suggest this feature be implemented into the interface? (Take phones into account). Without that, you're really just saying "This thing in MTG should totally be in Hearthstone guys!"
"Best" is very subjective, but I think I'd always have to say Mage. They just have no real weaknesses aside from mediocre early AOE.
That's not necessarily true. There is usually always an objectively superior class at any given time based on the current meta.
I would agree with Dustincr purely on the fact that, consistently, Mage has had the most viable amount of decks. Most other classes are all the same thing +- 3 cards
He's a 6-cost ironbeak owl. Unless of course you care about the body being left behind... which you typically won't unless you're playing a control deck (lol?)

unplayable in all formats

This just in! Warrior beats freeze Mage cuz ARMOR UP! and afk!
And at 11, a game called Hearthstone now has cards in it!

High-level play is assumed when discussing cards because otherwise what would we talk about? The art? The sound effects? How fun it is?
"This is a fun card! I like spiders. I made a beast deck." - What value is there in comments like this that you are expecting?

I love this thread, it's 2 months old

because you had better matchups and/or better draws. the game is random

It's a fair deck, but you have 0 lategame cards to actually win the game with. Your biggest minion is water ele...

legendary != card power
it's "supposed" to be a rating of the card's depth and complexity... though this isn't applicable in hemet's case either

I'll get a 3/3 for 5 (antique healbot, bomber man), while my opponent gets a 5/6 for 4 (hungry drake)...

you have 4 consecrates, how can you lose?

Lava Burst - pay 5, deal 5, rare
Fireball - pay 4, deal 6, basic
Easy point as to why mage is at least twice as good as shaman lol

Undo the changes to Argent Commander, Shattered Sun Cleric, and Defender of Argus because none of them were related to one-shot gameplay (ala Leeroy Jenkins)
