Looks like the deck entry on SuperJJ's page has been modified (- Second-Rate Bruiser +Reno Jackson.) This page must not update when the decks themselves do.
I think they should go more in the other direction, introducing more deck manipulation tools (and not exclusive to Druid.) I'm all for new mechanics that deviate from the "play a minion on curve" norm, and presently mill/fatigue damage is all we've got. The more ways you have to interact with the puzzle, the more fun it'll be to solve. :-)
Well first off, your collection is set to private, so you'll need to make it public if you want people to evaluate it closely.
Second, rank 5 is not a cakewalk for people with limited collections, time available to play, experience, and probably most importantly, time to study the meta.
Third, learning a particular class/playstyle is more beneficial than being able to craft the top few meta decks at any given time. You need to have a thorough understanding of a deck to be able to pilot it well. Learn when you need to slow the game down and control the board, or when you need to abandon the board and throw everything at face because you can't survive much longer. How to best utilize your resources. Should you draw cards here, and if so, what would you be looking for? Can you set up (or prevent) lethal this turn, or next, or the one after that?
Players who easily hit rank 5 already do those things. You may not be able to rapidly build a huge collection, or tons of time to play, but you can control how well you play when you do.
To answer your other question, I'd lean toward crafting Classic cards, and those that are staples in the classes/playstyles you've chosen to master. Acolyte of Pain in Warrior or Paladin, Azure Drake in basically anything midrange, Eviscerate and SI:7 Agent if you choose to learn Rogue, etc.
I love Egg Druid (played J4ckie's version up to rank 5 last month, and got my gold Druid), and I'm just tickled to see that you got #1 Legend with it. Congrats!
Midrange decks that can continuously apply pressure and play strong minions
Decks that can flood the board over and over
Decks that are immune to fatigue (such as Jade Druid)
Currently, the midrange decks have fallen out of favor because they get run over by aggro. Same story for Jade Druid. Board flood decks can't sustain pressure against the Reno decks with removal after removal.
You're either <goal> or <not goal>. Play until you achieve your goal. There is no Rank 6. There is only "not Rank 5." If your goal is Rank 5, then 1 star at Rank 6 is exactly the same as zero stars at Rank 20.
This. If you're at rank 6 and your goal is 5, you're not at your goal so you're not done. If you fall to 7 or 8, you're still not at your goal, so it's not done.
The bigger question is, do you enjoy the process? Do you like trying to outsmart your opponents and the meta? If not, maybe you're playing the wrong game.
I've had fun playing a few of the decks on the fringes, such as Egg Druid, Kun/C'Thun Druid, and Rogue with Questing Adventurer. I got the last 100 wins for my gold Druid this month, so that worked out nicely.
Egg Druid actually got #1 Legend in Wild recently, if that sort of thing interests you.
I run Patches the Pirate in Druid and climbed from rank 10 to rank 7 with it. It's that good at A) starting strong against aggro, and B) thinning your deck to draw more useful things later.
So i got into hearthstone today, And decided to complete my Rogue wins quest, So i got into ranked (i was rank 23 btw so this is unusual) and i played, And halfway into the game i noticed his name, Amaz, Not my fav but but relatively well-known in the hearthstone-twitch community, I'll be checking his uploads all day today to see if i was in his vid, (:
If you weren't already aware, duplicate BattleTag names are allowed (the #1234 at the end being the differentiation.)
So there are likely dozens, if not hundreds, of players with the names Amaz, Trump, Kripp, etc.

I think you could make a decent C'Thun Druid deck, though you're missing Twin Emperor Vek'lor. I'll tinker with it and report back later.

What if Gadgetzan Auctioneer was moved to the Wild set, do you think that would fix the Jade Druid problem?
The deck still wouldn't fatigue, but it'd be harder to use Jade Idols to flood the board with enormous Jade Golems in the late game.
(Personally, I'd be sad to see it go, as it's about the only thing keeping Rogue competitive these days.)

Expansion next.

As such, Control Warrior has found a place again.

(The companion Pirate is Bloodsail Corsair, for those curious.)

I climbed from 18 to 7 with Egg Druid, and got my golden Druid. Not sure what I'll play from here, but I plan on pushing all the way this month.
I was surprised I didn't run into a single other Egg Druid during that time. It's got a nice little niche in the meta.
