What's the reasoning behind buying the most recent expansion card packs and getting all legendary cards first?
Based on my perspective, I thought it would be best to buy the classic card packs as the expansion card packs would be rotated out while the classic card packs would maintain in rotation therefore the best packs to buy would be the classic packs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start an argument here, just wanted to know why getting the legendary from each expansion would be the best option.
There are no more classic card packs like we used to have them. The Core set contains classic cards and you are free to use them until Blizz changes the Core set next rotation.
Cards available for the Standard mode are from the Core set (free, changes once a year) and the latest 2 years of expansions.
So if you are looking for using cards for the longest period, the last two expansions will be the best (available for another 1.5 years).

To add a bit more clarity to the set availability and rotation sequencing:
So, given that Expansion 1 launches around March or April of a given year:

Mine jumped to exactly 1000 yesterday. After I closed and re-opened the game, they were all in the 1100-1300 range.

Cheesing potatoes sounds like a positive thing?

While it would be nice to use Whizbang in Standard, he's still pretty decent in Wild. I easily reached Gold 5 in Wild last month on my wife's account just completing daily quests, and could certainly have gone further. I did occasionally get steamrolled by better decks. He's not really intended to be a "climb to Legend" card.

Worked for me!

Worked for me on the third attempt or so. Swapped in Emperor Thaurissan but didn't even draw him on the successful attempt. Got a Line Hopper to stick for a turn, and on 8 or so mana just went for it, including hitting a Skull of Gul'dan.
Thanks!

If you play through all of your demons, and don't get any extras from Kabal Courier or Kazakus, there will be 12 Demons in the graveyard by the time you play Bloodreaver Gul'dan. 4 of those will essentially be Voidwalkers. There's also a 2/4 with taunt and a 4/4.
Assuming The Darkness is taking up a board slot. You will resummon at most 6 demons. I understand the appeal of Voidlord, but is it almost counter-synergy with your DK because it dilutes the graveyard? Resummoning Voidlord would obviously be great, but for any individual board slot, you are 4x as likely to resummon a Voidwalker.

My guess is, the Blizzard employees participating in the streams aren't at work on weekends.

Currently at 6900 gold, so I'll be around 9k at launch. I haven't pre-ordered yet, but I don't doubt that I will.
That's 140 + freebies + inevitable impulse buys.
Considering picking up some Amazon coins to reduce the impact of impulse purchases on my wallet.

2424/2488 = 97.4%
But it's counting me off for only having 1/24 KaC cards (which seems unfair as you can only get one right now...)
Removing 23 from the denominator gives me 2424/2465 = 98.3%
