You guys say "no, LoL and HS are different games, you shouln't compare it". And still try to speak about it lol

Also, with all due respect, Kassadin and Renekton are easily countered, especially since most kids who would buy RP and buy these champions wouldn't know how to play(MOBAs require way more skill and practice, not to mention knowledge of the game, Hearthstone requires inteligence and practice won't make you that much better, honestly). Legendaries are, in a mather of fact, easily countered too. I was trying to sublty change the topic to something worth discussing(I have 2 other replies here), something with meaning, but people would rather bash one another. Start thinking about what you are saying, because it's complete garbage. Have a good time fooling yourselves.

There is no gameplay advantage. All spending money does is give you a headstart. There are no cards that are available exclusively to paying customers (you could say golden Gelbin Mekkatorque, but regular Gelbin can be crafted by anyone, and the golden version offers no advantages). Every card in this game is available to everybody, whether you pay money or not.

It's not Pay-to-Win, it's Pay-to-Headstart. What this boils down to is that you're jealous that people can afford to get a headstart over you.

it's simple you have two options: you can either quit (and stop posting these threads nobody cares about) or actually pay for the fun you've had for the past months. HONESTLY THE BEST ANSWER HERE

Okay look's like you're using LoL as a non pay2win comparison Hearthstone. Not to mention they're entirely different genres but w/e:

    Let's say in LoL...

Charge $35 for all the cards, open a marketplace on top of that that accepts in game earned gold as well as real money for a myriad of customizable features(card backs/Hero portraits/Voice Packs/Board Skins).

Just throwing some data/math......................If I start today (downloaded for my iPad or installed on my PC).

    • 320 gold per week from quests (5 40 gold quests and 2 60 gold quests per week? I swap quests all the time and fail to get more than that...).
    • Considering 100 gold per day with 70% win rate you will need 43 matches per day. That is 430 minutes(10 minute matches), more than 7 hours per day playing for ONE pack or less than an Arena Entrance(excluding quests, they were mentioned above). That's crazy!
    • Let's say that you(like me) don't want to pay and you would like some dust. About to 1200 to craft a few cards you would like to try. Using math from this source(not me) http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/11985288499 = Dust per pack: 102.16 you will need about to 11 packs to get enough dust(first time you get an extra 95 Dust). The big problem is that you won't disenchant everything. You will probably want to keep most of the cards(especially in the beginning) to play some different classes and/or decks from the same class. In this case, you will need 11 more packs to actually begin getting your dust. I'm sorry to inform you that by then you will probably need way more time playing. In this scenario, the player still has unfinished decks, and he is grinding his way to build his decks, probably playing for 2 weeks or more).
    • 15 packs cost you $19.99 ($1.333 per pack, $0.267 per card). Considering you want to spend 20 dollars, you will at least get 1500 Dust. That if you don't happen to get most of the cards you want to start playing your favorite class/deck. If you don't consider this a huge advantage while playing, try to think about the guy that plays 7+ hours per day grinding his way and probably not using his favorite decks(the viable F2P decks are few, and remember the guy needs that high win %). While you can't really call this Pay to Win, you can argue it is Pay to Play. I mean, if I like control warrior I will need some dust (http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/46039-warrior-control-anti-aggro-anti-meta = 10.6k Dust, but you will probably swap legendaries for other cards).....AND HOW TO GET THAT DUST? 5 LEGENDARIES COST 8K DUST. IF I DON'T GET EXTREMELY LUCKY to drop a few of the "right fit" legendaries/epics this may cost me more than 60 dollars...Of course, le'ts assume I can PLAY  to get my cards cards:
1020 gold from quests/daily wins roughly translates to 10 packs per week >> Too bad each pack earns you 100 Dust, so you will need 10 weeks playing to reach that 10k Dust(let's assume you dind't get lucky and didn't dropped any of the right legendaries >> That is the equivalent of 490 hours(7 days per week playing around 7 hours per day for those 10 weeks)

Of course I am assuming you will craft every card. If you feel I'm trying to fool you, consider the dust on crafting other cards as the price to get some early craftings for other decks. The "non legendary" cards are way cheaper, and this deck "only" has 5 Legendaries(8k dust).

My point is: you either pay and get a huge boost in your collection or Play before even really start playing your favorite decks/cards. Also, please, stop comparing this to other trading card games. They are not F2P(you need to purchase your cards).

By the way, I won't stop playing. As I said before(page 1 I believe) I have been playing some ocasional games each day. I just feel like this data (dust/pack, gold/week, grinding hours) can really improve the conversation

Edit: Can I call this Play to Play? I mean, you are playing before even having your time playing what you like. Unlike many games, this game doesn't "progress", you play match after match and you will keep the same deck until you can build your personal deck.

I really have to agree...People rage on hunters("huntards") and zoos because they have(had?) high win rates. The problem is that they are basically the only decks you can build with "cheap" cards. Other decks are relatively hard to build unless you put some money in the game. Most decks NEED a few legendaries to work(i'm not even talking about crafting lots of rares).

I have been playing for a few weeks(reached rank 4 playing hunter and a tweaked warrior deck) now and I can say I've reached the limit between hitting my head against the wall(playing like a no brainer to farm gold) and quitting because I refuse to pay. I have opened a good(20+ maybe?) amount of packs, but I'm still missing "key" cards like Feral Spirit, Ice Lance, Scavenging Hyena, Knife Juggler... so I play 3-4 matches and go Arena. I'm not done with Hearthstone yet, but they really need to do something about card crafting/gold earned.

    Edit:

It's funny because this game was released on iPad, which can be called "casual" gaming. I believe they should have thought about all those players who could become Blizzard fans by downloading the future mobile versions of HS(Android is probably coming out some day).

posted a message on Al'Akir the Windlord

With Rockbitter and Flametongue Totem he is pretty good(charge and windfury).

With Divine Shield and Taunt he seems like a Sunwalker with charge...Pretty useless against silence

Simply not viable to build a deck around a card like this

Remember that for each rank you get now, you will get 1 star granted to you at the start of next season. You may want to grind an extra few games to start off at a higher spot and can get next seasons card, Black Temple, with less effort.

Can anyone explain? If I'm currently ranked 4 with 2 stars I will start next season with a new rank based on my last season or continue ranked at 4?
