I don't know what the current numbers are on WoW servers, but it seemed pretty obvious to me that most players who didn't have faction loyalty to WoW would pick Alliance, simply because Vanndar was more easily applicable to more control/combo decks than Drek'Thar is. Vanndar fits right in with the current state of Hearthstone: cheat mana costs whenever possible. If you can't do that, you usually won't win. Drek'Thar, OTOH, not only isn't part of that mechanical theme, but also has a significant drawback: he nerfs Battlecry minions. As cool as it is to sometimes get a 4/7 alongside your Drek'Thar, it also means that you want to limit the number of Battlecry minions in your deck, for fear of getting vanilla minions that aren't as powerful as they should be when played from hand. It also means you want to draw Drek'Thar ASAP, while Vanndar fits in with slower control decks, which means you can still get value from him even if you draw him later in the game. He's not OP, obviously, or really even a "good" card. He's just useful, whereas Drek'Thar often isn't or can be a hindrance. It just made more gameplay sense to pick Alliance. Maybe that will change with future sets, but it's hard for me to see it happening as long as archetypes like Zoo can't keep up with the speed of combo because they have all the answers at reduced cost in their hands... just like how Vanndar is supposed to work.

Chewy2231026 posted a message on Balance Changes Coming Next Week - 4 Changes In Total!Posted in: NewsBarely, you go from drawing 4 cards to drawing 3. The problem with Quest Mage was never the dmg from the Spell Dmg, but mainly the draw potentiel. You can complete your quest with 1 card in hand, use it (Cram Session) refill your hand with more draws, then kill your opponent.

Kathranis posted a message on Mercenaries - your first impressions ?Posted in: MercenariesThe thing is, there are dozens of character collection gacha games with similar or more interesting mechanics and better graphics. The only thing that would make me interested in this is the Warcraft IP, and even then it's just portraits, not animated sprites or 3D character models.
I'm not even saying it's bad mechanically or anything, it's just an obvious, lazy cash grab to retrofit Hearthstone with a gacha RPG that plays nothing like Hearthstone.

ButtChicken posted a message on Request a "Disable Animations" FunctionPosted in: General DiscussionWe have the ability to disable sounds and music. I would really love the ability to disable animations. They are simply too damn slow for how many actions are taken during each turn in many of the decks being played these days. Sometimes the animations are entertaining and cool, but more often (for me, at least) they are annoying and in the way and just simply take too damn long.
Sharing this idea here to get feedback. Am I alone in this? Anyone else desiring a similar functionality?
Thanks.

why you being a dick? its true that hs is rigged, they've even admitted it themselves they rig the matchmaking so players get around a 50% win-rate. It's clear they queue you into deck counters, this issnt hard to do with the research. Look at Zeph and how it instantly finds the perfect card.
They "rig" the matchmaking by giving you opponents which fit your MMR. it would be way too hard otherwise. Look at all the threads were people rage about Zeph not working as he should.

Who asked for Rogue meta comeback? This meta is a joke.

So they just made Nature Shaman worse by adding terrible 2 mana do nothing nature spell. This card is nothing more but nerf to Lightning Reflexes. Shaman doesn't target minions with spells. I loved Zentimo when it was legal in Standard, but this is one-time only and just bad for current archetype and won't make a new one.
Shock Hopper is too random, there are 14 Overload cards in standard. For Nature Shaman 5 of them are quite good, 6 bad or very bad and 3 situational so you get useful card in almost half of cases. Unplayable. Even worse in any other Shaman archetype. Maybe in future Elemental Shaman it will be a thing?
Infested Watcher is just a joke.

Where are people who do not BM everytime they win? Serious question

You must be kidding. You are playing format that is simply fast solitaire 7 minute per game and progression is too slow?
1
Well, I presented you HS replay statistics and you presented nothing but "i won some games". I don't say you're wrong about your experiences, as we weren't even told too much about them. I just say you're wrong about your conclusions - there is no non-quest successful DH and Druid deck above Gold and there is no successful Warlock above Gold as well.

Implock can't defeat not only quest decks, it's also very weak against Mage as you cannot go through their endless removal, card draw, solid alibies and once dragons hit board it's game over.
1
We must be playing quite a different game. There is only Quest Druid, Quest DH, Quest Shaman and Mage. True, Shaman is the weakest one, but I doubt Implock wins "almost every game" if nobody plays it and nobody complains about it.

xskarma if you think tryhards won't rule in Twist, just go up few ranks
It is obviously very fast, very solitaire-like with no surprises at all, quest driven, draw-most-cards-turn-5-6 format with no balance at all and 3 decks ruling 90% of meta
Light wild, nothing else.
If it becomes anything even a bit healthier in the future iterations, I will be very surprised.

I saw only 1 Quest Druid, so no. Priest is the most popular one.

Actually Rivendare is a really bad target for Slime and you need him mostly only against Blood DK, that's why it stays in ETC. Also I made few changes to the deck, the most important is probably moving Sir Finley from ETC to maindeck.
