Falklar posted a message on [Standard] WoG Miracle Rogue w/ GuidePosted in: [Standard] WoG Miracle Rogue w/ GuideNote that this deck is hard to play. If you are getting into rogue you may not be successful with it right off the bet. Therefore my advice ti you is: craft this deck only if you are ready to learn it and put time in it. This deck is very good, for me the best miracle list out there. But still this deck is hard to play.

LinkFan001 posted a message on Consistent order and wording: A necessity in rules and mechanics.Posted in: General DiscussionSo I have been playing Hearthstone since the release, and I do love the game. I have one major complaint with the game: Inconsistency. Card with text or mechanics that lead you to think they will work one way, but result in a different outcome. Examples include Tracking with Chromaggus, Druid of the Claw versus Ancient of War, and anything involving Lord Jaraxxus.
It is not good for the game as a CCG or for new players if cards have inconsistent logic applied to them. CCG's have to maintain a consistent logic in order to be intuitive and predicable, otherwise misplays and errors occur because the player is given unclear instructions and mechanics.
So, here are a list of suggestions I would like to propose for the sake of consistency and logic in the game. It is kind of a long list.
Here is a basic rundown of order of events during the playing of a minion in a chain in order to make sense, and should ALWAYS happen in this order:
- Minion mana cost is paid.
- Minion is played.
- Battlecries and Choose One effects are triggered, then resolved.
- Secrets that trigger on minions being played activate and resolve. (Yes, this does effectively make Lord Jaraxxus immune to some secrets, but it logically makes sense, because he is not being played as himself, he is transforming your hero with his battlecry.)
- Death check is run.
- If a deathrattle triggers, resolve it.
- Cards with the text "after a minion is summoned/played" activate and resolve.
For spells, the order should be:
- Spell is cast and mana is consumed
- If Counterspell is in play, trigger it.
- Minions that activate on spell casting activate in order of summoning, each resolving before the next begins.
- Spell's effect is applied and cost is paid, if any (i.e. Soulfire)
- Death checks are run.
- Deathrattles activate.
- Minions with the text "AFTER a spell is cast" activate. This prevents the new wonky interactions with Wild Pyromancer, as it should really activate after the spell is complete because it is the resolution of the spell being played.
For area of effect cards activating multiple deathrattles, the order should be:
- Spell activates.
- Death check is done (every minion or hero that should die dies here).
- Deathrattles go off in order they were played, as they always have, but each one has to resolve before the next can begin.
I know this sounds nitpicky, but this is to prevent silly situations where an opponent died to Leper Gnome but then saved with Zombie Chow, or a minion is saved because of a buff they should not have otherwise gotten.
Truesilver Champion should trigger before Explosive Trap, if only to match the tense of the words. It is another minor point, but if any minion or hero hits zero health, they should really be killed on the spot,
Change the word "draw" in Tracking to the clause "select one, add it to your hand." You are adding a card to your hand, not by drawing, so it would logically not trigger Chromaggus or Shadowfiend.
Druid of the Claw has its text be more in line with Druid of the Flame and Druid of the Saber, so it is clear just by reading the card, you know what it is actually going to do.
Heroes can no longer gain tribal tags, to prevent confusion with Lord Jaraxxus. Again, he transforming your hero, not being played as himself.
Secrets should always have a speed priority over minions, so if they cancel a spell that would trigger a minion, the minion does nothing.
That is all I can think of for now. Let me know if you all have any suggestions along the save vein, were logic is applied in every case constantly to prevent strange interactions and confusion.
Good luck, have fun!

Honestly though. I just want to attack with it. Summoning it is hard enough but what's the point if people just concede?
Update: I just murdered a N'zoth priest with him from full health; it was glorious. Saltiness over.

Mrrraggglhlhghghlgh posted a message on Accept friend requests, goddamn it!Posted in: General DiscussionI think talking to my opponent after (or during) a game would be completely normal functionality. I was extremely suprised when I learned that there is no in-game chat, and I am very unhappy with how useless the emote-system is for anything other than the online-insults equivalent of hit and run.
Really? You were surprised? You are posting in a forum thread that has been created by, surprisingly, an adult who wants to add other people as friends after he lost to them in order to insult them and run away. And what is even more surprising, he feels completely justified in that demand...Blizzard knows their stuff, the less interaction players get with people like him the better the overall experience. -

GobGuide posted a message on Sadly Hearthstone is just a rush card game.Posted in: General Deck BuildingQuote from SkeetlejuiceHS >>I don't care what people want to play on ranked my issue is that there is no decent place for me to try my deck ideas and tune them into an efficient deck, only netdecker ass hats in casual, what does that leave me? The innkeeper or a random adventure scenario, or perhaps people on the friends list of whom the majority netdeck, even in the first week.
there is no casual mode like wtf? Take away the 10 gold in 3 wins I don't care I just want a proper place to try my deck ideas.
As for ranked and the same old net deck bs it's join the herd or hard counter the top deck/s. This is blizzard that decides the meta in advance and what decks and strategies are not good enough or consistent and which ones are just consistent.
if you are playing a top netdeck in casual you are basically a coward, there is no excuse to not play it in ranked. So sick of that shit, that and iOS crashes constantly after the patch now instead of mainly just during friendlies.
I just dropped $78 on 65 packs and Khadgar, I expect a better experience than this, I don't expect ranked to be anything but netdeck rng fests but to not have a place to play the new cards and try stuff and for the app to crash 3-10 times an hour on top of logging in issues is unacceptable.
The card distribution of packs (commons and rares are consistently shit) and ladder sucks with the rest, they ruined it for me this week. I think I'd take a refund and stop playing this game.
yeah yeah yeah salt thread. Oh and the new bm emote genius work.
Holy balls this is a terrible attitude.Who cares if you run into a netdeck on causal? Just concede and move on. How do you know that person netdecked? I got added the other day by a guy who raged at me for "netdecking" C'thun Priest in casual mode. I wasn't: I was doing a quest and trying out my own flavor of the deck.Casual is a fine place to either test decks or goof off. If your goof deck gets paired against a netdeck and you somehow cheese him out, isn't that what it is all about? And if you wanted to test for ranked, wouldn't you want to get paired against good decks without worrying about your rank? -

Pmanda posted a message on Pls Nerf Execute, Shield Bash and all Warrior.Posted in: General Discussion"The man typed furiously at his keyboard, venting his frustration of cards which he lost to twice on ladder and had some much salt he nearly busted an aorta. And as he called for the nerfs of cards he didn't even name properly, he also called for the nerf of "all warrior". None knew what he meant, but none cared either way. Sadly for the man, his cries were unheard, as no one gave any mind to his poorly worded mad ramblings. And since he had chose to visit a third party website, no one of importance would ever gaze upon his plea. So the man typed to the wind, never to be heard."
Warrior removal is fine.

What's your point? I made this guide a month ago when no decks were really refined yet. People didn't know whether or not to use Xaril, Leeroy, Deckhand, Shadow Strike, Shadowcaster, etc. so I shared my experiences and personal preference. I didn't say it was original and I sure as hell didn't say there weren't any other guides.

Tomb Pillager. That card single-handedly made Auctioneer playable again. Also, the removal of Naxx/GvG in Standard didn't hurt Rogue much (and helped a lot) and the Blade Flurry nerf was a lot less detrimental than most of us predicted.

Calling someone out for playing a what many consider a "cancer" deck when you're playing one yourself.. nice. It doesn't take half a brain to play Highmane into Call of the Wild, get off your high horse. Hunter isn't any more intelligent of a class than Shaman, the fact that you said "Next turn I play Highmane" and "turn 8 Call of the Wild and GG" proves that. How hard did you have to think about playing on curve? Yes, he made a mistake while playing a (for the most-part) auto-pilot deck, but maybe he was distracted or something. Either way, there are terrible players playing easy decks all over this game, there's plenty in Legend too, so rank doesn't mean much. If you really think it's disgusting that this game requires a low IQ, find a different game rather than boasting online about how "retarded" your opponent was.

Shaman, Warrior, Shaman, Warrior, Shaman, Warrior. Two brainless and obnoxious classes, and I all I play against. Honorable mentions include perfect curve midrange Hunters and zoo players.

I've had ridiculously good results with it, I was playing Astral Druid and hanging in the dumpster (rank ~1500 Legend) and climbed back out in like 5 games with token Druid. I've won 8 games in a row, I'm honestly surprised how consistent it's been.

I'm playing control Paladin because I have a Paladin quest. Not N'Zoth Paladin, just midrange/control. I'm against a C'Thun Warrior (what a surprise, another netdecker who copies a deck from EU prelims). I have a board of 6 1/1s and Tirion. He plays Sylvanas, The Coin, and Brawl. Tirion wins. First of all, that's THE shittiest play I've ever seen. In literally every situation other than the one that happened, you get a terrible outcome. You either steal a 1/1, or if you're lucky, I kill Sylvanas with the Ashbringer. But nope, Tirion wins.
This game has fucked me over so much these past few months, I don't even get how it's possible.

Aggro Shamans are so cool. Oh, you got the Hunter hero power from Finley for lethal? That's incredible! Oh, you topdecked Doomhammer with no cards in hand? That's incredible! Oh, you topdecked Earth Shock for my Ancient of War? That's incredible! Oh, you managed to deck the 40 dust to craft a 4 mana 7/7? That's incredible! You emote me after everything you do? That's incredible!
What a high skill deck, piloted by the best of the best players.

Finally had the time this weekend to get Legend, used Rogue and tempo Mage. Had pretty good winrates with both, took about an hour to get from the end of rank 2 to Legend. Good luck to everyone else.

I assume you're asking for a Tomb Pillager replacement?
It's one of the key cards to the deck, and I mean key cards. It pretty much revived the Auctioneer archetype on its own. However, the deck will still function (just not as well) without it: replace it with a second Teacher and a Journey Below.
