One of the best written guides on hearthpwn. Thanks for your efforts. You've refreshed my interest in Dragon Priest!

Yes, so with N'zoth, Patches, Bloodsail and coin. You could have a 2/4 weapon and 3 pirates on turn 2. Huge tempo!

Brilliant. Got him first try. Guide is correct. Play control until he runs out of cards

I like this deck. Went 2-2 for the first 4 games, primarily because I was playing too controll-y. The description is right on, control the early game and then switch to aggressive. Trickiest part to learn is when to use weapons vs minions, but that just comes with practice.

I like that the deck is relatively cheap and that the games are fast. I was looking for a deck to work towards my golden Warrior and I will definitely use this when I don't feel like playing control.

    Nice job Pyro!

I went 7-3 with this deck today and ranked from 10 to 8. Highest rank I've been since before the Undertaker nerf!

Belcher has definitely been the MVP for me.

Going to keep pushing with this deck tonight and tomorrow and see how high I can get.

Awesome deck and guide Talion, thanks for sharing!

So in the last two seasons, when I have actually attempted to get to legend I pick two decks and for the most part stick to those two for the season.  If I am tired of the "well-Meta" then I just kick off an arena run.
Thanks. So if/when I spend more time on the ladder I will pick 2 decks that I really like and try to play them as consistently as possible. Let's say for example I pick Zoo and Dragon Priest. How/when do you decide to switch from one to the other? Do you switch after 3 or 4 losses in a row or do you wait and play 25-30 games before switching?

Is that true? Did someone do the math behind it? I'd think that due to win streaks 45% would get you to rank 5 given enough time. What is the exact number?

Sorry, I should have been more specific...or is it less? :)

Yes, I suppose it IS possible for a deck with a negative win percentage to eventually get to rank 5 if you consider the extra stars for win streaks. But it's also "almost surely" possible for a monkey to type the complete works of Shakespeare over an infinite amount of time!

I guess what I meant to say is that there's no way that I could ever find the patience or the time to grind up to rank 5 with a deck that only wins 45% of the time. This game is supposed to be fun and I can't see how it's fun to lose more games than you win.

    *quick update*

Just won 3 games in a row in 15 mins with face hunter. I feel so cheap and dirty, but not at tilted :)

Hi Everyone. I'm a fairly casual player with very small windows of time throughout the day to play. Because of this I generally stay away from the ladder. I find it difficult to play consistently and keep win streaks going when I only have time for 2 or 3 games in a session. I also have deck ADD and really enjoy switching decks regularly. Because of this I usually hover around rank 15-14. Trying to rank any higher than that under the aforementioned conditions usually leads to tilting.

But tomorrow will be different in that I have a good chunk of free time to play on the ladder and I'd like to make it to rank 10. I plan to play somewhere between 25 and 40 games with the same deck over a 6-8 hour period, and I would love some advice on what deck to try with.

Here's a list of the decks that I will choose from. I've listed them in order of my experience playing them. Right now I'm leaning toward Tempo Mage or Dragon Priest, but I will entertain any convincing arguments for the other decks in this list.

    Zoo Lock
    Tempo Mage
    Face Hunter
    Dragon Priest
    Freeze Mage
    Midrange Druid
    Control Warrior

Any advice would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
