Crystalsong Portal has a really high floor on power level (Druid minions are generally pretty damn good) and is critical to token Druid recovering from board wipes.
Until the meta settles I'd say you would be well served by running Void Walker and some heals - not just for holding the line against aggro, but healing up from bombs too.
I enjoy setting and reinforcing the "ceiling" of the meta, preventing combo and control from getting too degenerate by demanding early responses to my threats. It's both empowering and a service to the meta by requiring consistency and planning from non-aggro decks over a nuclear arms race of "who can play the biggest threat first"
Aggro and midrange are always strong early in an expansion (especially post-rotation), as they are very proactive decks. Give it time. And give it a Hungry Crab.
Hopefully we will see these events more often, like in Magic Arena. They're good alternatives to grinding ranked play. However, they should be separate from the Brawl; people want their weekly dose of jank without having to go full tryhard Standard
The expansion is not 24h old and you are talking about HoF-ing cards already. Keep cool guys, decks will get lots of finetunig and become stronger with time.
Come back in a month and we are talking about balance. It‘s just normal that stand alone strong cards dominate the meta on day 1
Especially when the 3 hero cards are already a known quantity; even though Zul'jin has only been out for three months people have way more experience building and playing decks based on him. Same goes for Hagatha and Dr. Boom, but with an even longer period between their release and now.
Bizarre that people are irate about the lack of dragons when we never heard a similar demand for large numbers of mammoths or ravens. Dragons are big and dramatic; you should only see a couple per set at most, lest they lose their luster. Unless the entire set is based around dragons, of course...
Priest minions definitely need more health to justify the buff/sustain playstyle. Hopefully we'll see more cards like Grave Horror, if that's what Blizzard intends to be Priest's "identity"
For this hypothetical core set to work Blizzard would need to better establish class identity and cut down on the number of powerful neutral cards. As it stands right now I can't imagine rotating out Fireball, Swipe, Animal Companion, etc for no other reason than the cards being so core to what the class does. And cards like Fungalmancer, old Skeletal Steed, and the Lich King homogenize decks a great deal.
Man, "can't attack or be attacked" is a really weird rider that favors spell based removal. Really glad they changed it. Also interesting that they had to reiterate upon Shaman and Warrior loa - to the point where the live cards have almost nothing to do with these versions.
Yeah I was more sketching out what a post-rotation version of this deck would look like, with Archmage Arugal instead of Prince Keleseth, Arcane Dynamo and Meteorologist for clearing the board, etc. Hopefully we'll get some sort of targeted spell draw with the next expansion, I don't think this deck could survive without it.
Also this deck is crying out for Star Aligner, god only knows how you would make it work though.

Misdirection: not just a hunter secret. Wait until the actual reveal.

If there's a Rogue OHKO combo deck (Mecha'thun?) Unstable Element will help facilitate it.

Yeah, Bethekk was way too linear. Krag'wa requires a strong setup turn and is much more flexible without just breaking your opponent's back.
