posted a message on POLL: Which cards do you want balanced?

I really don't think Doomguard is the problem with warlock at all. Almost every time I lose to a doomguard, cheating out voidlord realistically ended the game 8 turns earlier and I was just playing it out because of some false hope. Lackey is really the biggest problem with warlock and just making it cost 1 more would be huge in further letting aggressive decks push cubelock/controllock out of favor.

As far as spiteful, the card itself feels gross. Raising its cost would be a fine way to make it manageable, but it will still be an unfun and draw dependent card.

Dan Himself is also far too powerful. I've been playing the game for years now, and warlock has always been my favorite class. Lately it's been far less fun because so many games with every single warlock deck now are just "was my Gul'dan buried?" and that makes the game far less enjoyable. In some weird workaround way, making gul'dan worse would make warlock itself much worse, but also more fun to play.

posted a message on Rank the hunters! Easiest to hardest.

    For me it was:

Cannoneer, houndmaster, tracker, then time-tinker. That said, none seemed particularly difficult since the +2 health is practically an auto-win for any of them.

This deck seems really cool, and I'm glad to see it being so successful, but don't post winrate in the title if your proof only consists of 10 games. It seems silly to include that with such an incredibly small sample size. Best of luck going forward.

posted a message on Ben Brode Abandoned Ship

With the way people had been predicting/asking for an icecrown expansion since very early on in hearthstone, I highly doubt it would be that surprising to the team that it would perform particularly well. I can't really take this seriously as the reason behind him leaving, or that there's any intense conspiracy behind him leaving at all.

Huh, he's one of the bosses I haven't had much trouble with yet. I've just been removing his giants and he just kinda runs out of cards pretty quickly.

If you can't get into a game, restarting's been working for me. That said, restarting between every game isn't super convenient, but it's better than not playing at all.

posted a message on Was Ben Brode Forced Out Because of his Shudderwock Comments?

No, that's silly. His departure was definitely planned well in advance. In addition, shudderwock hasn't really been causing many problems and has simply been blown out of proportion. There is zero chance it had anything to do with his leaving.

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place! V2

What's the secret to playing a spiteful or cubelock deck and not feeling slimy? I've tried playing both before, and both times I had to stop because there's no real joy to be had or accomplishment to make. If you hit legend with spiteful druid, you may as well have used a bot to hit legend and felt proud of it for some unknowable reason.

posted a message on Upcoming Hearthstone Arena Hotfixes for Thursday, April 19

I'm really happy they're making some change. For whatever reason, witchwood's arena has been the single most difficult one I've tried to play in. It's seemed like every single deck at every point on the ladder had the potential of being what would be a 12-win deck every other expansion. Granted, my drafts were all fairly good as well, but I couldn't seem to find anything that worked consistently aside from insane pally drafts.

I also really like your idea for the Divine Favor nerf. That said, I'd almost rather see the card hall of famed so that we could see a paladin draw card with an entirely different identity, in which it doesn't necessarily have to favor aggro or rush style decks.

I agree with some of these, but to imply that Grumble Worldshaker needs a nerf seems silly. There are problems in terms of Shudderwock animations, but if those are fixed the deck is fine. Additionally, cards like Possessed LackeyBloodreaver Gul'dan, and Voidlord are all exponentially more problematic in cubelock than Doomguard which has been a *relatively* fair and interesting card in warlock for years. (That said, I wouldn't really mind seeing it hall of famed so as to see more room for class cards going forward) I do very much think cubelock needs nerfs in for some combination of pact, lackey or guld'an though. That deck is far more oppressive than quest rogue ever was.

posted a message on Idols of Azeroth is This Week's Brawl!

As much as I agree with you, I feel like I have that experience much worse with unstable portals and valeera's spells. I do 100% see where you're coming from, though. As someone who at one point would call themselves a big tavern brawl fan (before they dumped all quality over the past year), I really like brawls that let me try to pursue a goofy playstyle. I've been enjoying trying to roll for decent control warrior gameplans.
