4/4 VC on turn 2 (Coin + VC) is good against aggro decks (and against priest) and pretty good play (or backstab + coin into him is 6/6 at turn 2)...against non aggro opponents you usually want 6/6 to dodge BGH. You play him with cheap spells such as backstab, deadly poison, prep etc...
Just don't play around to pump him up as much as possible (sometimes it happens), examples above are fair ones (3 mana for 6/6 is an amazing) look it that way.
You're completely right. Haunted creeps do not trade well without flametongue and we lose most zombie chow trades (mage ping, druid ping, priest heals etc.) but there is no better option. We need broken early game card or two to be top tier imo (most games are like 50:50 most of the time with shaman).
In fact even card draw isn't that big of an issue but early game is just sh*t. I had high expectations from BrM to fix this problem but Blizzard is feeding cancer classes unfortunately. I got twice to rank 4 with shaman only (first time during undertaker epidemia) and seems like back then shaman was kind of playable, however since then things have changes a lot and struggle is bigger and bigger...eventually i just gave up on shaman for now.
Strong early game minion like people said and that's about it. Btw mech shaman is disgrace to the class and hopefully not direction to go at in the future.
Taunt version of ramp druid usually does not run combo at all, but relly on outlasting your opponent with beefy minions. And as name say it has many taunt minions. It is "wallet" version of druid.
I don't like heavy control decks much and this is first i decided to make. I crafted Cenarius last night. Since i play mostly for fun nowadays i really enjoy Hogger in this deck :D he's been there collecting a dust for a long time but so fun to play, yet weak card. Nothing better than watch hunter sacking entire board to get pass Ancient of War (Senjin or druid of the claw soaks owl mostly).
And the reason i decided to go with a druid is because its always in the middle of the pack and sometimes top tier. Most core cards are always good in most druid decks so it was well worth spending 4k+ dust. Impression about Cenarius so far- solid and that's it but fun to play. I could craft any other leg but oh well (i was considering Ysera big time) there will be a time for everything :)
Well i don't run combo in this deck and i guess Cenarius can help me finish a game with a 2/2 buffs. Although one copy of combo would be good right now but i strictly prefer classic taunt druid (and its my only true control deck atm).
I'm in love with taunt druid and right now i have enough dust to make one legendary. Since i love to play druid i'd love to have class legendary. I have BRM expansion so i thought that Ysera would be maybe better option since its neutral and a dragon. Ysera also fits well in heavy taunt druid but Cenarius too! I am also near golden druid (150 wins away) and have most useful cards (AoL, AoW, FoN and rest core cards). I'm sceptic little bit because some druid players do not run Cenarius at all.
I would love to hear words from experienced druid players as well as other players who played Ysera/Cenarius and give me an advice.
Good card early and late game. 2/5 is good against aggro and does wonders for me in heavy ramp druid, combined with hero power it will carry you to the mid-late game without problem if you manage to innervate her or coin + wild growth then drop out on following turn.

Reminds me why i don't ladder nowadays. Good luck getting a pack against Flamewaker mages and mill decks. Disgusting!

Wow that's a lot of time and farm. Do you have proper deck for each class?

You need to hit level 59 and 60 with a rogue to get golden version of this bad boy.
