posted a message on Standard vs. Wild Question

Well, basically it's the fact that Standard will be a mode that they'll actually try to balance, also the removal of Naxx and Gvg opens up a lot of decks that weren' possible before, while in Wild it will basically be an unbalanced clown fiesta where some insane deathrattle decks will just dominate and eventually each deck will just run the best cards from each expansion until they're all virtually identical.

Also, Standard is a better format for new players because they won't have to catch up on all the previous expansions.

Basically: Standard will keep changing and allowing new archetypes while Wild will be ruled by Dr. Boom and the Shredder-crew which is exactly why people want to stay away from it

Well, I guess this is what happens when you give mage the best 6 drop in the game....everything else has to be crap...really hope it's worth it

Well, since it specifies "in your hand" it's not as great in wild as people may think...I mean, you're going to oplay your webspinners and scientists on curve if you have them in hand, so this card works a lot better if you have deathrattle minions with 4 or more mana

So basically Highmane, Sylvanas and Shredder are the best targets...2 of those are also in standard + whatever else in this expansion has a decent deathrattle effect.

Suddenly Infested tauren might not be so bad after all....also Brood of N'zoth + explorer's hats makes buff hunter sorta viable I think.

We'll have to see, but i think this is aimed at control/slower hunters rather than tempo

likely, but not entirely true...sometimes you have the damage in hand but not enough mana to play it in one turn, so you could malygos into conceal and on the next turn play this card + the 1/1 malygos and hit them with 2 14 damage Eviscerate or whatever else you have

to dampen your expectations...I don't think that Standard mill rogue will be a thing with healbot and deathlord gone.

It's already a pretty weak deck and without healing and taunts it seems really easy tojust take advantage of and rush down.

Will happen in control or combo rogue decks tho...too good not to.

If Prep doesn't get nerfed we even might see thistle tea get played in the same deck as this to maximize value

The art is confusing...looks like valeera...apparently isn't. Weird.

Other than that, nice rogue card, makes Reno Rogue and C'thun Rogue a lot better....maybe even NAga sea witch Rogue.

There will be decks built around this, that's for sure

I mean...are there reall that many bad outcomes?

The worst thing is probably something like mark of the wild/nature on an enemy minion or fireball your board.

Not saying that it's playable in constructed, but it's certainly a fun card and not just a suicide card

well, tbh, someone needs to challenge Paladins in Arena...right now they just dominate because they get some of the best common cards

    looks like a fun card.

Not usable in constructed other than casino mage, but in arena it might not be so bad

All you people need to stop overestimating what this card can actually do.

Is it a good card? Yes.

Will it be included in pretty much any mage deck in both wild and standard and be an important arena draft? Very much so.

Is it op tho? No, because it's a damn mage card.

Haven't you noticed the ongoing theme in this expansion? Each class has received one or more very potent minions that might be auto include in a lot of decks...but tehy're class cards. they aren't shredder or Dr. 7 who were run in every deck.

Blizzard even said that the biggest mistake about Dr Boom was making him a neutral card. Now we get powerful cardsfor each class that enable different decks and don't limit card choices for EVERYONE.

Besides, GvG gave us Piloted Sky Golem which is pretty much this card and look how much play that one saw.

At least with this one you'll know what you get and don't have to kill it first to see how to proceed with your turn. Also, there are like 34 3drops that might be game changing, other than that it's just a regular tempo card.

I didn't see anyone complain about Klaxxi amber Weaver or Master of Evolution..
