     I don't pay for it with cash, but I have purchased packs with my reward track coins (I gave up on Standard a long time ago). I guess they are still decreasing the number of coins in the world, but I honestly don't think they give it that much thought if there are no dollar signs attached.

     I agree, but I also think they have just given up on it like many streamers. They'll take the engagement time and any trickle of money that comes in from it, but as soon as the first month of numbers came in, I think they flat decided to have it just be something else people can do since the money return on launch didn't meet projections.  Now there's so much negativity and probably so little play that they are just keeping things active and have zero plans to do anything but the occasional merc release to try and grab a little extra cash from whales.

    I just can't see how they don't realize that if they gave the mode some energy they would increase engagement exponentially.

    Seriously... another patch and nothing regarding the excess coin issue? I get that they don't see Mercenaries as a priority, but can it really be that far into the "Whatever, we don't care" column?

    What are the possible challenges? Be as conservative as you want (ex. excess coins can purchase skins and after that be traded at 100-1 for same rarity coins on other mercs), but do SOMETHING. The longer it is left the less likely they are to do anything because those with 20k coins for Millhouse aren't going away and the coins keep comin!

     Right, that's why they just reorganized all of Team 5 so that there is now a dedicated Mercenarie

    I get that, but it seems like they pulled from the marketing division instead of the gameplay division.

    So we've got a new patch with an effectively useless addition to the mode and the most serious issues are completely unaddressed. I mean c'mon! >:(

    A list of unaddressed issues (feel free to add your own)...

    • EXCESS TOKENS ON MAXED CHARACTERS!!! (pretty much the one and only issue, but wait..there's more)
    • No additional rewards for Heroic Mode (a guaranteed 5-10 tokens for a legendary is nice and all, but you can get that in about the same time frame by running the normal mode twice)
    • Inconsistent task grind: Some heroes higher numbered tasks are over the top (*coughCookiecough*) while others are much easier.
    • Nothing for heroes who have capped out on their tasks.
    • Capping out tasks doesn't give enough tokens to max a hero
    • No rewards for losing PVP Arena and sharks destroy new players killing new recruitment and thereby the mode
    • It's a mode built on grinding and the Antonidas/Baron/Rag build has no peer in terms of efficiency making the grind even more grindy since you're only ever doing one build.
    • Some of us want to like it, but it seems like it has already been killed as a priority because it didn't succeed massively right away. (So I guess this is an attitude adjustment issue?)

    Others? Dev thoughts (do they even read these things?)

    I had this come up again with Manneroth. Each time he attacks he will take 1 damage and give all demons (including himself) more and more health. ;)

    So I'm leveling my new Mutanus Legendary, and I get this "Monstrous Heart" treasure. As he levels up to 5, I realize he just got the ultimate power! Scaly Taunt... get taunt and take 1 less damage.

    It doesn't matter that he's 15 levels lower than the bounty I'm on... I realize that I've just discovered the perfect wall.  Completely balanced!!

    Easy win against a Pogo/Mogu rouge. I didn't draw a single "Into the Fray" after he banned "Bolster," and I still won.

     I did replace the Target Dummy with Frantic Flunky. Not sure why it wasn't the second taunt in the recipe tho.

    Woof. Most of my games have been two rounds or less. Auto-concede vs. rogue, auto-concede with a round 1 flaming imp as warlock, auto-concede with 2nd round coined Shattered Sun Cleric vs. a shaman (if they don't concede in round 1).

    I've been on the winning and losing side of that basic coinflip, but there are definitely more concedes in this brawl than I've probably ever encountered.

    My prediction? In addition to a deathrattle heavy theme for the expansion (thus causing you perhaps to WANT to kill your board). There will be a Portal like effect or a spell which causes all minions killed on the turn to reanimate as X or just straight up Kel'Thuzad copy to reinsert the ability into the standard play.
