Maybe you should just play it to understand, odd paladin or even shaman is way easier to play and progress with it, big priest is not about barnes turn 4, but whatever, does it matter to speak with you? Any arguments?
What is there to understand? A dog could play this deck the right way. You cheat your big minions out early thats the whole game plan. The only thing that can stop this deck is a bad draw or a aggro deck with a good draw.
The deck is by no means hard to play. Just overpowered and kinda rng sometimes.
And yes i played some games with this deck aswell.
is it doing well after the price decrease then? I was starting to think it would never get to where we hoped it would in the early days. would be nice to see it eventually supported properly and start smashing stuff.
I didn't think the price decrease would really matter that much, but maybe this was just the right thing to be able to crack it?
It still gets smashed by fast decks. But it is an autowin versus control. Lets hope it doesnt get popular i rly dont want to see a jade-like deck again, because its just super unhealty for the meta.
Every class has pretty much staples in their classic set and every expansion has only a few really good cards. Even if everybody would build their deck without netdecking the decks of people who understand the game would look really similar.
I really like deckbuilding but in hearthstone the synergies are very clear and if you dont want to end up with a trash deck you will use the same cards as most other people. The most used deckbuilding skill in hearthstone is swapping tech choices according to your matchups.
On the other side people dont have unlimited dust so obviously everybody wants to craft the strongest cards possible. So if you want to stay up to date with your collection you just cant craft gimmicky cards every expension if you dont want to invest a large amount of money.
Archivist Elysiana is now literally buffed,it depends how you see it,experienced players know this, making it cost 9 opens a slot for an additional card at 8 mana plus it's a buff for odd warrior in wild
I'm an experienced enough player to know Elysiana is completely irrelevant to odd warrior. Games in wild don't go down to fatigue unless someone is multiplying coldlight oracles, which Elysiana doesn't beat. When you queue an odd warrior game, either someone is conceding because their deck can't deal with your hero power or you're conceding because odd means you can't play skulking giest, unseen saboteur and deathlords are far inferior to dirty rats
Also "opening a slot at 8 mana" means nothing to a control warrior. It's not a curve deck and it doesn't care about tempo or playing cards on curve. It doesn't matter if a card costs 8 or 9 or 10 or 2, as long as it has a relevant effect, control warrior is happy to run it. Especially when we're talking about a card that we literally cannot play until we're out of cards or very close. Control warriors aren't not running other 8 drops because Elysiana is occupying that slot on the curve; it doesn't run them because there's none that exist with effects that are relevant to the deck's game plan. What are you going to do? Run Grom so you can push face for 4?
I dont think a brewmaster or banker will still be in the deck so i guess you can see it as a buff against fast decks maybe because you can include a better early game card. Doesnt change anything against other warriors though
The card nerf was pretty much just for the length of games.
Elysiana will still be played in control decks because if you dont run it and you opponent does you will loose 95% of the time. That was the only reason to play the card and still is. Yeah you cant play it twice now but your opponent wont aswell so that doesnt change a thing. (Dont annoy me with the coin theory pls)
Nobody played Elysiana on curve anyway so its not a big deal that she costs 9 mana now.
If you want to play controll decks it is a safe keep.
Just because a combo will technically exist doesn't mean it will actually be used by most players. I still remember all of the "Nerf Mechwarper" or "Nerf Ziliax" posts before Ziliax released because of the technical 'infinite'-esque value combos or OTK combos. Ziliax came out and only a very small amount of meme decks ever did any of that in either format.
Its super obvious that this combo should not be allowed though and im 100% sure it will not make it to the live server.
Obvious the deck will not be good or anything but its just not a good choice to allow it. Its not a hard combo to pull off and OTK with one card in turn 5 is obviously not okay.
I like every deck except the warlock one, its just way to slow and too many shitty cards. One game i played the Plot Twist combo for 9 cards and i got 1 minion out of it :D
Shaman, Warrior and Rogue are pretty decent decks. And well priest can pop off if you have a good starting hand but thats it.
Lol what. You think people are gonna still run brewmaster/banker just for the 50% chance so they can bounce it? Just for the mirror? In a meta where rogue is nerfed and anti warrior decks are gonna be more popular?
Warrior will still be one of the few that can actually beat brain dead decks like token druid, mech hunter, beast hunter, and conjurer mage.
What? Mech Hunter, Midrange Hunter and Conjurer Mage love to meet warriors. All these decks pretty much counter warrior.
I played some games with the Zayle decks in rank 4 and i won 6 out of 10 games. Having all golden decks is pretty fun aswell.
I will climb to 5 with it next season. Really good for players with a small collection who dont want to spend all their dust on one single deck and get bored of it.
I know they are not the best possible lists but i would say they are quite viable for such a gimmicky card.

What does the term original even mean here?

I play since open beta and i really cant understand what people are talking about. Casual has always been filled with normal decks.
I dont think anything has changed in casual there always were meta decks in that mode.

What would be fun in your opinion? 40 minute control games every time?

My best moment was the Batterhead Spirit of the Rhino combo against a murloc shaman who had pretty much a full board with Soul of the Murloc Deathrattle. He conceded after it
