Ran into two Control Warriors today that weren't running Archivist Elysiana. Maybe they weren't using her before, but it really seemed strange. Just because she went up to 9 doesn't mean she's now worthless.
IMO, they jumped the gun on this nerf. I get that they did it to stop Elysiana + Brewmaster turning tournaments into a 12h snoozefest (especially in specialist format) but she is actually on her way out of the meta even without Blizzard's "help" because of recent innovations. If you want to bring warrior, the ideal lineup would be:
Anti rogue/aggro main deck with Azalina - The Azalina steals whatever win condition the opponent has in the mirror while not taking up too many card slots against rogue
Anti warrior secondary deck with Da Undatakah build of Mecha'thun - This beats Elysiana and is highly resilient vs combo disruption, which is probably what the opponent is queuing for game 2 and 3
Anti mage/Nomi tertiary with super colliders and bombs
The warrior that goes 2nd can just save his coin in a mirror, play Elysiana and Brewmaster on same turn.
Can you imagine if this actually became meta? One could queue this mirror in a tournament, play an hour game and then lose to a literal coin flip. I almost wish this is a thing so I could laugh at how badly Blizzard fucked up
(Thankfully, there are better end game options, so it won't ever be)
it's due to the nerfs. Even if she is still good people are experimenting away from the nerfed cards. Both her and rogue will come back in a bit of timem don't you worry

Archivist Elysiana is now literally buffed,it depends how you see it,experienced players know this, making it cost 9 opens a slot for an additional card at 8 mana plus it's a buff for odd warrior in wild

I'm an experienced enough player to know Elysiana is completely irrelevant to odd warrior. Games in wild don't go down to fatigue unless someone is multiplying coldlight oracles, which Elysiana doesn't beat. When you queue an odd warrior game, either someone is conceding because their deck can't deal with your hero power or you're conceding because odd means you can't play skulking giest, unseen saboteur and deathlords are far inferior to dirty rats
Also "opening a slot at 8 mana" means nothing to a control warrior. It's not a curve deck and it doesn't care about tempo or playing cards on curve. It doesn't matter if a card costs 8 or 9 or 10 or 2, as long as it has a relevant effect, control warrior is happy to run it. Especially when we're talking about a card that we literally cannot play until we're out of cards or very close. Control warriors aren't not running other 8 drops because Elysiana is occupying that slot on the curve; it doesn't run them because there's none that exist with effects that are relevant to the deck's game plan. What are you going to do? Run Grom so you can push face for 4?

I dont think a brewmaster or banker will still be in the deck so i guess you can see it as a buff against fast decks maybe because you can include a better early game card. Doesnt change anything against other warriors though
I meant, I don't see why these players seem to have dropped her (literally don't remember seeing a Control Warrior that didn't run her before the nerf). I think she's still viable.
I wouldn't expect a 1-mana increase for 10 cards in fatigue to hurt her use at all. It's powerful late-game and you have the chance to pull some very strong cards.
That being said, 9-mana for Archivist is so not a problem on ladder. I beat the majority of warriors running her with midrange hunter because Zul'jin is busted good and bouncing her extends your game without necessarily increasing your effectiveness.
Just punch them in the face with 8/8 Wyverns and 4/6 Scalehides and 7/5 Huffers once you've played out Zul'jin and you win. I've found a lot of warrior players make bad choices with Elysiana and either get greedy or go for the wrong kind of value. Perfect targets for hunters that don't waste cards in the early game.
She's a way for warriors to fish for a closer if they can't outvalue otherwise. That's worth a spot in control any day.

Almost two years before rotation, doesn't worth to dust
Or you can just dust it, wait a few weeks and see if it's still viable for ranking, then re-craft it. I got one in a pack and it was gone 1 minute after logging on, no way it's better than literally any legendary in the game.
Yeah, I dusted her after the nerf because I knew I would be opening more packs from the adventure and am close to my pity timer for RoS. If I get a regular copy I can profit a legends worth of dust for free. If I don't I can re-craft her after the new meta is defined. There is no real disadvantage.

Wow so you're planning on running a card that's bad (Brewmaster) on the off chance that you might go second and get the coin specifically for the mirrors while also saving it the entire game? Yeah good luck with that, I don't see any flaws on your master plan buddy.
You realize MANY of the top pro players playing Warrior used Brewmaster in their decks right? The bounce is really useful in Warrior even if you don't use it on Ely's. Because you know bouncing Omega Devastator and playing it again on the same turn with rush both times is such a terrible play. /facepalm

The sample size is too large.
I immediately dusted my Golden copy. No regrets as I've never used her. Crafted Barista Lynchen and I'll hold on to my other 4k dust just in case.
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
You still won't rely on this combo, if you don't have the coin you have a dead card with the Brewmaster.
Elysiana is still worth it without double play in Control Warrior though.

It's not a bad card, it just is harder to abuse. And shaman could probably get tons of value out of it in a long game.

I dusted her. Actually, if it wasn't for this thread I might have forgotten, so THANKS!
