posted a message on The Pepper Thread - Share your good vibes!

Decided to buy the Dalaran Heist with real money and spend the 600 saved gold on packs.

First the new Adventure is pretty fun. Then i opened 10 packs of RoS and got Swampqueen Hagatha andThe Boom Reaver After that i opened one Rashkatan pack and got Zul'jin

Was thinking about crafting Control Shami and Beast Hunter anyway so 3 legendary cards from 11 packs where i wanted to craft two of them anyway.

    Thanks Blizzard

I'm looking forward to it. Kinda bummed that it's not all released at once though. We've already waited over a month so do we need even more timegating?

Yeah and i think it would be a smarter way for money purchases aswell. I dont have 2800 gold so i would purchase it with real money if i would be able to play all but now i can just farm the 700 gold every week.

If they announced it early enough for F2P players to save up the gold there wouldnt be a reason to timegate it. Other then keeping the game intresting but meh.

Was a pretty dumb thing to not make it free to play imo. There are so many good f2p card games and artifact is pretty expensive after purchasing the game anyways.

posted a message on For people who think Casual sucks...

Its just bs. I dont play good decks in casual because i want to stomp bad players but if i wanna do my quests with a deck where i have little to no experience i wont take it into ranked and loose 3 stars on rank 3 or smth.

Casual is still a normal PvP mode just without a ranking system. If you expect to bring a tier 5 deck and the other player to let you draw 30 cards so you can pull your combo you are just delusional.

You tell me to play ranked then? Well i would tell you to go play a friend or the innkeeper.

BTW i enjoy bringing trash tier decks into casual from time to time aswell and its fun to meet other such tier decks but i wont whine because i lost to a better deck in a PvP game.

    Quote from ConCuThanKy1292 >>

No. You should not craft it. You can spend time playing fun decks such as Yogg Saron decks or Control shaman to have fun and train your brain better. :>

Yeah because Yogg requires so much brain to play. Its not just random bs.

The deck is good and most of the card are staples. If you want to play rogue in future its a safe craft and even if it gets nerfed you will get the dust back. I would go for it. If you dont like the tempo playstyle you can still go for a more midrange version with nomi and togwaggle.

posted a message on Elysiana is part of the issue right now

I dont think Elysiana is a problem at all.

Mirror Control matches are always long and kinda boring. But if you dont have Eylsiana the games would still be long and boring but the matches would be decided by who plays boom hero first and gets the most value of it.

posted a message on HCT Packs in wrong region?

    Hello,

i always play ladder on EU. I didnt get my 5 packs for HCT there but now i switched to America to play some arena and i got the 5 packs for Viper there. Will i not get them on my EU account now? I switched there the first time since like a year, that would be really unlucky.

Edit: Nevermind. It were K&C packs, so it was maybe for an old vote. Right? Thread can be deleted

posted a message on Underbelly Angler is the New buzzard it might need some nerfs.

I think its too strong aswell. Solid stats and a generation of infinite value is just bs for a aggro deck.

People in this thread are just ignorant and will also complain when murloc shaman gets more popular.

I hate these posts, they always seem to devolve into:

    • Bad Players = Aggro Players
    • Good Players = Control Players

It isn't really the case, you can be a good player and play aggro, and you can be terrible playing control. If you play aggro it can be difficult to figure out how to maximize damage output, while minimizing damage uptake on every turn. Sure those decisions are easier when your opponent doesn't do anything for the first few turns, but that isn't the aggro player's fault. It's their opponent's fault for building their deck too greedy.

This is the case, you don't need to maximize the damage, nor think hard or anything, the strategy is basic and everyone know it, but even with that fact they can't stop it, in aggro you can still make missplays and crush your opponent, the opposite for other archetypes.

     This is not the case.

    First guy is right.

I wasn't talking about coloured hair; I meant fake hype and promoting things that only drooling casuals care about.

Meta is still as high-rolly as it was before; you build your deck around few cards, if you get them soon you roll over your opponent, if not, they better be in same situation or you are dead in 2 turns

I mean thats pretty much the nature of a card game. You will always have some key cards. Sure we could balance all cards around the same level like a 4 mana minion has 9 points (5/4,6/3 etc) a 6 mana minion has 11 and so on but then it would be that its all about drawing on curve.

What would be your solution for that? Decks will always have some sort of win condition and if they cant play to it the opponent has an advantage.

posted a message on At what Hearthstone rank can you be considered a "good" player?
    Quote from alert23 >>

Like many on the thread already stated, I think it's more about win percentage than rank. First time I hit legend it took me weeks of playing several hours a day (couple of years ago). Since then I've been hitting legend quite consistently and noticed that every month it was so much easier and faster than the month before. For me a good player is who can squeeze wins in games where most of the other players would lose and in doing so has f.e. 65% WR instead of 55% in certain MUs.

If I would have to pick a rank I'd say passing through rank 4-3 makes you a good player, legend makes you better player but finishing in top legend is so much more difficult than that. People in top 200 are usually a lot more challenging to win against than average legend player.

And to people saying it's just a matter of grinding, it really isn't... Try and play control warrior mirror matches in standard right now. I can easily win through resource management and picking the right time for tempo plays in lower ranks but it gets so much harder the higher you climb on ladder.

Well i think you are right with the winrate but you need to get that winrate versus good players. A 80% winrate from 20-10 is a complete different story then a 80% winrate from 5-1. Also winrate has be compared to the match ups. You can be the best player in the world and your winrate will still be shit if you are facing a counter match up in more then average games. But there comes in another skill like deck techs and reading the meta correct.

Btw guys who say that you are good if you reach rank 15 because you are in the top % is wrong imo. That was just a statement from blizzard to make bad players feel better. If you are comparing your skill you have to compare it with players who actually try to compete and have decent decks and not count everyone who ever played a game on ladder in.

posted a message on At what Hearthstone rank can you be considered a "good" player?

I would say someone could consider himself good at the game if he reaches at least rank 5 consistently. To do this the player has to kinda know the meta, be able to navigate at least one deck without to many missplays and has at least a 50 % winrate with it.

I dont think you should consider yourself a good player if you play a good amount of ranked games with good decks and never get into the rank 5 region. Rank 20 -10 is really easy to get by because players missplay so much there. 10 - 5 is already a bit tougher but a good player should be able to get it done. After 5 the real grind begins and most people know to play proper.
