The point is tell intruders "You're not a guest, so leave." Obviously, the intruder isn't Medivh, so there's no point in saying "You aren't Medivh, so leave." (Also, if you enter in a Medivh skin, he assumes you're an impostor.")

Finally, Blizzard releases a decent 8-drop. I'm glad I don't have to worry about Ragnaros the Firelord accidentally hitting my opponent's Acolyte of Pain, letting him draw. Fossilized Devilsaur also has better stats than Force-Tank MAX all without the weakness to the inevitable Blood Knight, and unlike Kel'Thuzad, I don't have to worry about my field flooding with minions and not letting me play any. My only objection to this card is that it might be too good; it's strictly better than Ironbark Protector due to its ability to dodge The Black Knight.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #23 - FINAL POLL

It's my first time voting in one of these, and I have to say, there are a lot of good picks! I just decided to whittle my picks down to an arbitrary three. Because I'm a sucker for techie stuff, I had to go with Smoke Bomb and Emerald Steed. The former, as the creator pointed out, could be used to bypass taunt. The latter, meanwhile, dodges BGH, while providing a nice health buff, and I love cards that have that kind of good, kind of bad feeling. Lastly, I went with Cleric Tovelo, because seeing a small card with a small body, but a potentially big effect, especially on a legendary, is something I'd like to see more of. Overall, though, this was a great week, and best of luck to everyone in it!

My first submission! While I can't say anything about how good it actually is, I'm glad to have made something that I hope is at least unique.

At first, I tried to compare it with Charge, and I was aware that my card was probably better than charge, save the more difficult conditions needed to cast it. However, I also think Charge is terrible, and my card is a Paladin card, so it being better isn't too big of a deal. I also realize that this card encroaches on Warrior territory, since Charge is more common among Warrior cards, and Paladins tend to have Divine Shield, but I wanted to try a more midrange card. Plus, I wanted something more about an organized military in terms of flavor, like Quartermaster, as opposed to Warrior's berserker tendencies, and this card would just kind of be a better Charge in Warrior.

Since Paladin is king of buffs, I wanted to do two things: bestow charge on a buffed minion to immediately get returns on your Blessing of Might or Blessing of Kings, and to protect that minion, preferably with a litter of Silver Hand Recruits. Since one of the minions given taunt is the one on the furthest right, that minion will often end up being a Silver Hand Recruit, providing weak, but numerous taunts.

My biggest concerns are whether this card seems too clunky (either because of the lengthy text, or because of the apparent contrast in the buffs it gives), and whether there's a niche in which it would fit. If anyone can tell me, were they given this card, what they would think of to do with it at first glance and in what kind of deck they would use it, that'd be great. I'm afraid my hopes for this card are a bit outlandish, so I wonder what others would do.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #23: Submission Topic - New rule and new qualifying system!

Time for a lurker to join the fray.

Before, military tactics meant a bunch of guys charging in. Now we've advanced enough to know to leave two guys behind.

I hope the wording isn't too confusing; basically, this card has two requirements to be played: you have 3 or more minions, and you have a targettable minion not on the outside of your field (not on the far left or right). If you have  3 minions with a Spectral Knight in between, this card can't be played, even if the two on the outside can be targeted.

Since I don't play WoW, I tried to make as vaguely flavored of a card I could, so I hope the art doesn't bother anyone. I thought about what would be interesting in Paladin, and I thought something midrange-y might be interesting and different. As long as you keep popping Silverhand Recruits, your opponent has to remove your 1/1s while your Blessing of Might-ed Argent Squire can lay down the law. I do realize that charge has some issues considering the dearth of cards that bestow it, but I made it at least the same cost as Charge so that it couldn't be used too quickly. I also realize this card synergizes with a certain doctor, but if this makes people wait until turn 10 to drop Dr. 7BalancedWarGolemWith2Wisps, that's okay in my book.

I'm afraid I don't know the original artist, but I found the art here. (For those unfamiliar for grognard, nsfw, all of the ads are porn.)
