Playing control Mage against auto-pilot Odd Paladin (pre-nerfs), with Stonehill Defender and Dragon's Fury x2 or something similar as starting hand. I particularly love when I manage to Dragon's Fury and Arcane Tyrant x2 in turn 5. After that it's easy sweeping, drop some big minions, Jaina DK and bye bye my hyperdisgusting sweet Uther. It's a nice plus when they spend the whole game spamming emotes while they think they got the control of the game (aka board flooded by hero power duderinos) just before you kaboom their whole board <3
I'm just quitting Hearthstone at least till next rotation, cause right now I simply can not enjoy the game: I can't stand current meta-game, Kingsbane being one of the main problems (its gameplay issues already explained here tons of times). It's not the first time that happens to me, already had some other breaks for a few months before. But that's fine, there are many other games I can spend some time with, and to be sincere as an old fanboy of the company, I'm quite disgusted with Blizzard nowadays, so if I manage to avoid supporting them at all, sadly I can say I'm glad about it. Already quitted Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm after several years of spending time & money on them, guess it's time for Hearthstone too :3
Can't tell you for sure, but the "issue" may be that your Recruit Hunter is under the name of Deathrattle Hunter, which indeed appears as tier 2 deck (and tier 1 in many other webs). Congratz tho, at least for the patience :D
I'd say historically Alexstrasza has been used in more viable and top tier decks than Malygos. Personally I prefer Alex cause she allows some really slow/control decks to have an "easy" win condition (control early and mid game, drop Alex and kaboom those 15HP; or sometimes use her defensively to heal yourself out of lethal range). Malygos tends to appear in some crazy OTK decks, where you cycle cards till you get your sweet combo and obliterate your enemy no matter if they are full HP. I mean, right now with Priest you can build some decks around Malygos + Velen with some ress and copy-minion spells, and nuke your enemy with a 40 damage Mind Blast or stuff like that. IMO it's funny, but those decks tend to be more RNG/lucky top deck dependant and TO ME they feel "cheaper" than a classic control strategy; but that's completely subjective so pick what you prefer, both cards are quite fine right now :)
Don't know what you guys say, this is the best meta ever...
... for starting to play Gwent.
OK, let's be more precise, if you're an aggro/rogue quest player, better ignore this advice, but if you are more into a controlish style, enjoy actual thinking about the plays, and you agree with the statement "+ Strategy, - RNG", give Gwent a try. I'd say it has a touch of some other "more serious games", such as chess, instead of the RNG fiesta that Hearthstone has become. I'm not saying that's better or worse, but I think that after trying Gwent it's quite easy to see how much more control you get over the game than in HS, so if you value skill above RNG, that's what you get there. Of course there's RNG too, it's a cards game after all, but you need to see how it works (I mean, just the basic rules) to realize that there's much less random factor, and thanks god ME GO FACE tactics don't exist :___D
P.S: This was written by a Blizzard fanboy, that just got hyper tired of their [personal opinion] failing after failing [/personal opinion] with their cards game.
Depends a lot in the format you play too. As a fan of control decks, I'm having a blast with Priest and Warrior quests in Wild format, where both classes have got much better tools to make their quest archetypes shine: better taunt/deathrattle minions (Sylvanas, Sludge Belcher, Deathlord...) and other control-friendly minions & spells that you actually NEED to make those decks work top tier level (for example, Priest's Lightbomb is just a huge card even as a x1 for control decks, and Reno Jackson is just bonkers with Quest Priest decks)
If we are talking about Standard format, Priests will be missing lots of their best cards for a sweet Quest Deck. And by the way, Entomb is rotating out of standard. In Wild Format, that's another thing. They already were strong there, cause they got access to some great taunt & deathrattle minions (such as Deathlord, Sludge Belcher, Piloted Shredder...), and Lightbomb, which is a huge tool for control priest decks, plus now they'll only be able to play important cards such as Entomb or Reno Jackson in that format (I'm saying Reno cause I think Quest Priest with Reno in Wild gonna be real nuts). Just my two cents :3
Because Galvadon is most probably also stealthed (and then, if everything goes according to the pally, you're dead on spot), only one move puts him into the "can be stolen" before it hits you for Infinity+1. That's an old card generally considered terrible, that might start being seen with Un'Goro - Mass Dispel. Does anyone else think this spell is getting boosted (not sure if into the playable point, but might get al least close)?
EDIT:typo
I've seen some posts talking about the possible rise of Mass Dispel with this exp, which imo could be right but only if the meta actually gets much slower, cause it's true that there are some huge targets for it now in Un'Goro.
Except for the fact that Galvadon will most likely be spellproof this is a pretty good point
That's true, but on the other side, priest (especially Reno versions) tends to be one of the few classes that runs some kind of silence (and I think silence will get much better with this expansion, so we may see more of that) so then you can Entomb or Convert that big bad boy (not that big after silence, but you'll get the battlecry when you play it again anyway :P). But sure, I admit Galvadon may be trickier to steal than the others :)
Oh man, haven't thought about that... dunno, if we still get shitloads of aggro neither Entomb or Convert would shine that much (well, Entomb tends to be at least decent against almost anything but hyperaggro with only small minions), but in a slower meta with a nice % of Quest Decks, those two spells could be bonkers. Convert would be a much faster option idd, but without the gtfo against the 8/8 minion. Nice catch there!

Proceeds to nerf the card.

Love this "strategy oriented" mechanics, reminds me of Slay the Spire's Watcher Scry ability.

Pretty bonkers combo with the new Prime hunter minion.
