The huge meta breaking change that is hidden here, is that Azalina now counters Shudderwokc Shamans right .Once they play it, with grumble and all, you can Azalina to get 1 mana shudderwocks in your hand and completely rekt them .LETS FUCKING GO
Its true this deck lacks Silence and Weapon removal, but this is how it has the worked the best for me .
All I can advise you to do is that if you want to include a silence, I'd go for Ironbeak Owl over spellbeaker because with its cost and stats, it allows for a defile play as a 1 health minion, and for a Owl + Lord Godfrey on turn 10 and after :)
Even if Rin is too slow for the meta, is scares a lot of opponents, which tend to use hard removals for her. And getting those extra demons is really good for control matchups. I mean I guess we could consider The Lich King instead, deserves testing for sure.
First off, I completely agree with what you said about trying to get demons off Zola or Stonehill (or even drawing a demon before casting the 6th seal) to try to get that 50/50 or better of playing Azari. I've tried that before and it has worked, so it is a great strategy if you need that weapon early on (Skull is so good, I never pass up on it if I get it early on).
Completely agree with you on Taunt Druid as well as on Quest Warrior. I had a hard time against warriors because I played them fairly early when I created the deck and didn't have enough experience to face them (and also I often got the 1/8 of getting hit in the face by ragnaros :/ )but yeah I think you're right, it must be a good matchup actually ^^
Though for Shaman, I don't think holding on gnomeferatus is a bad idea. Not taking into account Glinda Combos and Hemet reducing deck to combo pieces, burning a card on turn 2 or on turn 12 doesn't change anything on probability. The argument of saying "They will draw most of their combo before you play it turn 12" doesn't hold because in both cases you'll burn one single card. You cannot know if Shudderwock will be the first card he draws or the last. You might think Shudderwock is so unlikely to be his last card, but it's as unlikely of being his 8th or 22nd card, its always 1 out of 30. Having said this, it's just better to hold on at least one gnomeferatu for Glinda, Zola or Hemet. The result is, burning as many cards whether they're the last or first cards is the best chance at winning. Quantity primes.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, it helps a lot, and seeing how you test out the deck and seeing the results is really insightful and appreciated. Thank you! :D
When you feel it's an Azari game, it usually means the game is going to be really slow, meaning that you don't need the early power levels from the Skull so you can refrein from equipping it if you wish ^^
It is deliciously strong against druids, milling naturalizes and spellstones. It also counters Dark pacts for Cubelocks, as well as Play Dead for the Recruit Hunters. So as you see, it helps quite a lot against 3 of the most present decks in the meta.
It can also help in other matchups like for Rogues (Coldblood, Envenom weapon) and Priests (Power Word Shield and Inner Fire) as well as Warriors but those first cited are the main reasons.

Get this card effect on Malygos once, reducing its cost to 2 mana, then double Swipe and double Moonfire for a 30 damage combo :)
Edit : One swipe can get replaced with Flobbidinous Floop for a 36 damage combo

Exactly how I feel, I utterly hate those shudderwock shamans, playing against it is just horrible.
And I agree with all points you've made just before, I also think playing a naked Glinda is a viable strategy if youre holding a gnomeferatu!

These are some very interesting comments.

Oh man that's so cool, I'd really appreciate some visual content for my guide. Thanks a lot!

Well apart from the Voidlords, there are also the Despicable Dreadlords, which are quite good demons.
Skull of the Man'ari is super good in this deck, it boosts the games by a lot, it's a great card in the deck for sure. It also lets you benefit from Zola the Gorgon on the Voidlords, and also taking Voidlords or Lakkari Felhound from Stonehill Defenders.

For me, it's the optimized version ^^
