If you dont encounter Heavy controls decks, yeah I'd suggest switching for classic evenlock. I didn't use the combo that much, but I did pull it off in the matchups that are UNWINNABLE for Evenlocks normally.
Gnomeferatus could be a viable choice, it makes it even more fun to play, I guess it's personal opinion, I could see it work quite well :) But as you said, not putting drakes in the deck is to me way weaker than not having spellbreakers. You always have a hand full, so putting a 4/9 or 4/10 on turn 4 is really good, and it also makes for a Giant-less hand ^^
If you're thinking of a face-off between the two decks, I agree with CodexTL and Druid would probably win.
But if you're asking which is better out of the two to climb ranks and win games it is this deck and by very very far. This deck has a control style win condition (clearing boards and Guldan) against aggro, a Midgame/Turn 3 Giants win condition against combo and midgame decks, and the Mechathun win condition against heavy control. Whereas Druid Mechathun only has one win condition, and does quite poorly on ladder. Hope it helps :)
Yeah it is afun deck! It's true that many players at rank 5 or somewhat play aggro decks because they want to climb fast out of there, and if youre facing alot of them like Odd Rogue and hunters I suggest switching decks until you get rank 4-3. And yes it is a very skilled deck, management of Tapping becomes better and better with experience. This deck is the deck that made me feel like progressing the most. Im happy you like it! :D
The Mechathun package is mostly replaced by high value lategame cards in regular evenlock like Lich King, Mossy Horror, Geist. Even though they might help a bit, these cards dont matter much against Odd Rogue or Tempo Shudder. The main difference against board heavy matchups are doomsayers, and some evenlocks are running only 1. The package is really worth it if you're encountering a diverse meta like I did when I climbed to Legend, if you're facing a lot of Odd Rogue (which I agree is a hard matchup) I'd suggest switching decks yes ^^
Yes it's true when they get all the answers, it becomes a hard matchup. But that's how rexxar DK is atm, it's a one-card deck which has infinite value. Just try to get as many minions on board as you can, don't waste your Mechathun combo cards (they might come in handy later) and hope for some luck. Rexxar DK is a legendary card, so it's harder to draw as there one copy only per deck.
So I was doing some testing and discovered that bloodblooming spells (so you take damage from your cards) does NOT upgrade your spellstones. Is this intended or a bug?
I was playing Evenlock until I was a little stuck at rank 2. I switched to Deathrattle Hunter with Kathreena and King Krush, it feels so good. I'm 7-0 with it for now, 1 win away from legend 😏

Thanks! :D
I loved playing it, having a hand full every turn makes it really enjoyable to play.

Hey guys,
So I was doing some testing and discovered that bloodblooming spells (so you take damage from your cards) does NOT upgrade your spellstones. Is this intended or a bug?
Cards in question for clarification : Bloodbloom & Lesser Amethyst Spellstone

I'd suggest desenchanting Omega Defender, I believe it will never see play outside of arena.

There's even stuff like Kalimos which lets you choose between 4 choices ^^ (btw what legendary are you talking about? I can't find the name :p )
#Edit : Found it, he's talking about Arch Thief Rafaam#

Because the bright pink color of the second expansion could make one guess out Dr Boom as Warrior new Hero card? LUL It has nothing to do
