"Razor Rogue" needs to be a deck because it is simply the coolest deck name ever conceived.

dmc_777 posted a message on New Card Revealed: Evolving SporesPosted in: NewsI see majority of the comments being really negative and borderline whiny.
Jesus christ guys, not even half the expansion has been released and you guys are whining at every new card ? : /
Like, the general reaction is its either Broken, or either crap. -.-
First, you need to get the old meta out of your head. You gotta know that whenever there's a new expansion, the meta completely changes- not to mention, a TON of cards are going out.
Second, this is the nature of the game. Certain metas rotate in, others rotate out.
Can we please try look at the positives ? Talk about some potential with what information is available to us now ?\It'll be great for the people actually trying to be neutral or even positive in this community.

PneumaPilot posted a message on Max McCall Talks About Combo Decks and Why They Can Be ProblematicPosted in: NewsI kind of disagree with a lot of the sentiment here. I personally don't mind pirates, face hunter, aggro shaman, or whatever. I beat those types of decks far more often than I lose to them. But I just can't stand playing against freeze mage or Reno anything. I agree with the developer here: when you sit there trying to play YOUR deck's strategy, and all the while your opponent just lets you play (because he has double Ice Block + Reno + OTK) or just completely shuts you down over and over with Frost Novas or what have you until he can set up some infinite Antonidus combo, then that's not fun. It might be okay every once and a while to try to make a go of it and take one of these guys out, but if one of these decks becomes too strong and begins to account for 20-30% of what you see on ladder, then we're all just gong to hate life. For confirmation, just go back in time to when early Miracle Rogue was a thing and look at all of the forum posts about that mess. Blizzard is right: folks aren't happy about that crap.

Ehronatha posted a message on Guilty as charrrged: I like playing piratesPosted in: General DiscussionLast month I played Agro Shaman in Wild and Pirate Warrior on my f2p account. I choose my main ladder classes each month based on a rotation system, so it was random. However, I found I liked them a lot.
I like that the games are fast but eventful.
I like that I have lots of option in the early turns. I like the feel of control early on.
I like that many of my opponents likewise play cancerous pirate decks. The lack of deck diversity means that my opponents tend to also know what they are doing so they play quickly. I always hated playing against Control Warrior because the game was going to last forever and it was hard to judge if you could or could not win. With the current control decks you generally know by Turn 6 (wink) whether or not you can save time by conceding.
I like seeing results on the ladder. I got to rank 2 in Wild NA, my best result ever. I squeezed into Rank 10 on my f2p account (no Patches), always a question mark in this meta.
I like active decks in general, because they rely on me knowing my strategy and do not rely on me knowing my opponent's strategy. Pre-Gadgetzan I was a bad control player because I didn't watch streams to learn every possible meta deck list.
People hate pirates, and they are definitely bad for the game, but I kind of like them.

Neichus posted a message on Ben Brode on Defining Complexity, Depth, and 'Design Space'Posted in: NewsI've enjoyed these last few posts. They seem to have been stung by accusations of lack of communication. While I already clearly understood a lot of what they have had to say, a few tidbits have come through that have really helped me get a better feeling for the thought process behind their design.
I think the best was actually from the last interview about how they knew that Jade was pre-built ("parasitic", although I find that term strange), but they always try to provide for multiple deck-building styles. One of my running complaints of MSoG is how it has been weak in the custom deck building department. However, it's now obvious that Blizzard anticipated Grimy Goons being the best for flexible deck design, and the overall failure of that that gang precipitated the feeling of limited deck building options. Kind of a neat lightbulb moment to see my two main complaints merged into one.
That said I'm waiting for the first person to quote, "While "clown fiesta" is the driving goal for most of our decision-making..." and rage about it while ignoring the rest of the post.

Blue_Banana_whotookthisname posted a message on Developer Insights Live - Potential Arena & Ranked Changes, Community Q&APosted in: NewsQuote from jainaishot >>When did exactly they say anything specific about these things you claim? They only said that paladin and hunter will be better in a slower meta...No sh*t...They said nothing about adding heals or anything else.Anything you claim is your own conclusion.Of course they didn't say anything specific. That's called making conclusions and reading between the lines. Looking back I agree that some of the things I said could happen in the adventure after the next expansion, maybe even the expansion after that, but I doubt the latter. -

ChargingBadgerrr posted a message on The Meta is Actually Healthy, Contrary to Popular BeliefPosted in: Standard FormatAll I hear on this site is complaints. And I agree, pirate warrior can get a lucky start and run you over no matter what you do. But that's what an aggro deck is, and they are essential to a healthy meta. For a meta to be fun and varied, there need to be top-tier Aggro, Midrange, Control, and Combo decks. And right now, we have all that!
According to Tempostorm, the top five meta decks right now are: Aggro Shaman, Renolock, Miracle Rogue, Pirate Warrior, and Midrange Shaman. In my opinion, Miracle Druid and Dragon Priest are also strong. Using just these 7 strong decks, we can see that the meta is in a good state.
Aggro: Aggro Shaman, Pirate Warrior.
Midrange: Hand Buff Paladin, Midrange Shaman.
Control: Renolock.
Combo: Miracle Rogue, Miracle Druid.
I enjoy many of my matches on the ladder, and even if the Pirate Warrior matchup seems unwinnable sometimes, other times they run out of steam (this is when I'm playing Miracle Druid and Jade Shaman). I maintain back-and-forth matches with other midrange and combo decks, while sometimes losing to control.
The evidence I just provided refutes the claim that the meta is "aggro-dominated" or "lacks diversity." Post counterarguments in the thread. Stay polite please!

Followed by its even crazier brother, Reno Jade'Thun, my Reno Jade C'Thun Druid. This one I thought was actually worthy for this database, so check it out if you like.
And my Renolock is American Pharmacy. Getting rich off of Potions.

It might not be as bad, your still losing cards with discard, which could nab some important cards, and there is the problem of running out of cards to, well, discard.

I'd say it might see play in Reno Mage, I've seen situations that people play Reno Jackson on turn six just for tempo
