Been playing demonlock since CB. I've gotten it down to R5 every season until spammed by druids and other *superior* midranges. This card has zero place in a midrange demon deck. It should have cost 3-4 for +4/+4 or 5 damage. We have shadowbolt which already blows pretty hard and falls even shorter in mid-range matchups. I don't understand why priest got 5 dmg 5 heal holy fire when its obviously geared for a Siphon spell. ZZZZZzzzZzz.
Legends are overrated. You can always craft the ones you want later. You need to realize you need the epics, rares and commons and chances are you have a lot of the base set now as is. 40 gvg packs will give you a lot of the commons/rares and enough dusts to then spread out amongst w/e else you need or want from EITHER set. GG
Meta got pretty boring. The new expansion will be fun but i can already see whats going to be popular so i expect my first matchups to be pretty horrific Zoomechs. YAY
If i need to kill a Daz'Tango, a Yeti or a Belcher i am not going to be using crackle, im going to be using Lavaburst. Its just that simple. This card is for killing off 4 health minions or going straight to the face. However, considering if you have any spell power out this becomes a *4*-*7* which makes it much more useful than Lavaburst, mainly because you now know youll be able to kill off 5 health with less RNG and if you do go to the face its cheaper and could hit harder.
Overall, it aint bad but should not be relied on for removal.
Best case scenario you get this card off with 2 deathrattle on board. Its not too often i see myself or my opponent with a full board of minions, that of which are all useful deathrattlers. I can see the wienie hunter deck being able to make some stronger plays but i think its more of a control sleeper card best used late game with sylvannas, highmane and where i really see value is with possibly late drawn rattles like webspinner and loot hoarder when you are in serious need of removal or finishers.
How exactly do you think sideboards are going to work in tournaments in their current format? Sideboarding is pretty lame if you get to include cards to specifically counter your opponents deck. I would puke if i heard someone say: "Oh no, i lost vs this deathrattle priest, better stack my next deck with cards that will enable me an easier win!".
In Magic tourneys in my home town we use to ban 1 of any card (and its copies) in the winners deck. This would really mess with peoples strat and hinder or make people think twice about bringing in decks with one win condition. Winners can switch out their deck for the new matchup as well. Different in hearthstone to be sure but i think that if the person won he shouldn't be punished by being vulnerable to a bad matchup, even though it doesn't always mean they will lose the next game.
When i first looked at it i thought this was great.. Now that i think about it, its not so good. Tempo rogue can use this along with thier 3/4 weapon to gain pretty significant board control. In the order of usefulness against:
Control/Weapon Warrior Control Paladin Control Priest ... Hmm starting to notice a trend here.
So the overall chance for Dunemaul Shaman to hit the face twice is always 25%.
Considering they (Blizzard) balances their cards i can see the logic posted here to be decently accurate. While this card is a massive threat on an empty board, that empty board has be empty the following turn to get TRUE value. This in itself is particularly hard to do, especially because if this was coined out on turn 3, you will only have 3 mana on the following turn to which to respond to more threats that rose up the following turn.
This critique is based on a deck that i've built very very very similar to this in the past and it had not worked after a 20-30 game trial run. Here is what i found:
You cant do much vs aggro with this because by the time youve got your argus out, theres nothing to put it on. Adding Haunted Creeps, Eggs and maybe Claw brings it in line with aggro destruction. Creep and Egg syergizes with Sunfury, Argus and MotW. Claw is early removal with a small heal/damage null. Too many hand cloggers to draw into, late game without a really solid 4 drop and limited 5 drops which is the BEEF you need vs heavy control and to finish aggro off. Throwing Yeti in is actually great as innervate pulls off nice combos getting major board control.
EDIT: Also i could never consistently get Sunfury and Ancients together quickly enough for it to make a difference vs aggro. I had them owled and either ignored or killed. Sap is this decks worst enemy and what seems like an auto-lose vs Miracle.
WoW. Amazing card. And interesting. Stats alone for the cost are decent. That is nicly buffed boulderfist ogre. And then you can combo it, or just let it grow.
I miss that there is no decent late game hunter decks with strong beast mode. And this one is one step to that direction.
Not to mention that hunter still has more cards to be revealed!! EEEP THE HIGH CURVE HUNTER BEGINS!!! (drools)
Pyrohunter, or.... MADDER BOMBER hunter? You know that will hit Gazzy at least twice given rngs cruel punishment. I love the larger beasts, so this will fit nicely in my quest to bring control-high curve hunter to legend victory!
IMBA, first card to get nerfed after GvG comes out. Mark my words!
Should be more like 8 mana and gets +3 attack when takes damage. Double... is just dumb and bad design.
Can say similar to the V07TRON. If a rogue conceals a bunch of mechs on turn 6-10 say, youre pretty much as good as dead. Also, hunters have little strategy on getting into fair lategame vs other classes.. They just cant hold board control like others so using this to actually kill someone will likely be tough.

Bypassing taunts or hitting Gadgetzans is pretty insane, interesting mechanic and not just a downside it seems.
