Why test cards and synergies and unique strategies against terrible decks? It's the same as playing a bot who plays nothing and passes each turn. Any combo and any synergy will work if you give it unlimited time to get there; in my opinion, you don't improve your own play and decision making by playing in sandbox mode.
May as well learn to test your strategies against decent decks. Just play ranked and if you lose you lose. Understand the frequency of combo cards coming together, the balance between control, tempo, value, combo, card draw, etc. cards in your deck, what outs you have at different stages, what to mulligan for, key cards in different matchups, etc.
That said, can appreciate people play the game for different reasons and that's fine.
If any of you havent heard of "Timmy, Johnny and Spike" from magic the gathering you should give it a read.
if you really want to test unique strategies, find some friends. casual consists of about 70% ladder decks, 20% older ladder decks, and 10% wacky creations. if you do find someone playing homebrews, friend em immidiatly. playtesting with them will probably be the best chance to get some creative fun unique games with room to test strategies. in my experience, the potential of games going longer than turn 5 raises exponentially with this method.
i remember watching youtube videos a few years back with a guy that had created cards in the client, the name escapes me, but that points to there indeed being a program out there that might do what you are looking for, even if it is a solo player exercise, you can play both sides of the field. good luck in your search!
as of the time of this post, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius causes the game to crash when played, i imagine its partially due to something changed in the code with the Alterac patch. Just a caution for those in wild.
non pvp here, for pve my main squad is Lich King, Tavish, Xyrella, Brightwing, Alexstrazsa, and Voone. i already have a human team and murloc team up to 25 as well, been playing around with different comps and using carrys from the main team to lvl up the low lvls. next groups of heroes to raise up orcs and beasts. been having a blast, in fact might be playing mainly mercs for the foreseeable future
im glad they included both pve and pvp so the different strokes can be had for different folks. i too will play a good ammount of pve and dabble time to time in pvp. the mode is gonna be nice for those interested in the playstyle. lots of people seem to have a negative outlook on the game, i cant say i share the same feelings. i was optomistic during the inital announcements and even though what we are getting isn't originally what i had imagined, i am still very happy to participate :)
altho i see both sides of the coin here, i lean towards everyone getting access to the cards at the same time. if you want to only craft certain cards that are gonna be good, just wait a few days and then watch some streamers or come to fine sights like this and netdeck away. :)

you should probably specify pvp not pve, the entire pve player base doesnt have this problem. also time spent enjoying life is not time wasted imo.

this also has zero impact on PVE players but it shafts PVP players

maybe add Octobot to make the card draw more smooth, other than that, great looking deck!
