love this! would love to see more legendary cards and even some other cool epics/rares that are out of date or unique but unplayable in current form! great revisions so far, not broken, but playable :)
sad to say i see the same uninspired garbage in casual wild. creativity and fun are not pushed nearly enough in this game. casual mode in my opinion should be for casual fun gameplay. i should be able to que up dreadsteed noggenfogger warlock in casual and not face pirate warrior token druid and kingsbane rogue. it would be nice to have some games that go past turn 4.
Duels for me is hands down the best mode in the game in my opinion. i haven't even played it yet but i can pretty confidently say that based on my own experiences playing the dungeon runs from saviors of uldum and rise of shadows. i have played more of those 2 solo content modes then casual/ladder over the last 4 months. as a wild player i have very little incentive to que into the ladder or casual other then completing daily quests or trying out and refining home brews. a deck building experience with huge varieties and outcomes (dont forget there are going to be 3 hero powers and 6 treasures per class) that also rewards long term players who haven;t dusted their collections is finally a nod to the wild players in the game. the first time since wild was separated from standard (aside from a few brawls and featured in arena). New players have been getting a lot of love over the past few years which is wonderful, but now people have an incentive to keep more of the better cards in their collections, and in the long term, it will give players another option to experience the game in a way that might be more up their alley. overall i think this was a wonderful surprise that dare i say, i would prefer over the other 2 modes i was hoping for which was 2v2 and tournament mode. if duels is not your cup of tea, that is fine. personally i think it is wonderful to have another avenue for the creative minds who play the game to get their hands dirty in. it rewards creativity, decision making, and long term commitment to the game. A+ in my book.
I'm not convinced the new game mode is for new players. Wild isn't for new players, should new players complain about how inaccessible it is? I don't care for auto battlers, that doesn't mean I spend my time lamenting and complaining about a game mode that isn't for me and is basically taking up space on the UI. I can't sit there and say, make game modes that I like playing or don't make them at all. Not every mode is for everyone, that's part of the reason they make so many, to appeal to different strokes.
There are plenty of game modes for new players, arena, battlegrounds, standard, tavern brawl, solo player content including dungeon runs. It's good they're introducing ways for long time players to utilize their large, otherwise potentially unused collections.
They could have had a separate wild and standard version, but they probably couldn't see the incentive there.
well said. as someone who has kept all cards from wild since hearthstones first expansion, it is a breath of fresh air to see blizzard showing a little love to the long time player base. blizzard has given a lot for new players as you stated, wild has literally seen no love aside from some inclusions in arena (which doesnt require you to have the cards in your collection) and a few brawls. Well i for one am excited to have this new mode, and to be perfectly honest the reveal was like a gift in my own instance because other then doing quests, i have no incentive to que ladder or casual so i can play against the latest net decks. i have played more of the dungeon runs from saviors of uldum and rise of shadows then i have any other mode in the game for the last 4 months. Well done Blizzard and Thank you.
Roffle, Solem and slizzle466 are content creators for wild decks. Many possible decks shown there. I would start with them.
Normally I would recommend discard warlock for starters. It is cheap, fast, has a good winrate against the bane of wild (reno combo priest) and is a tier 1-2 deck. Don't know how much in there is non-standard though.
Edit: Roffle did a rng mage vid 5h ago ;)
I'm almost offended you didn't include Dane in your list...the original wild fun deck builder/player lol
I’d like to see a rework of basic minions in general so more of them have a reason to see play in decks. Their power level is way below what exists now and it would be nice if those weren’t just useless slots in my collection. At least give them higher stats, if not bonus effects as well
thats for a reason... imagine basic and classic minions are all equal to the expansion minions. that way people can substitute cards they miss for basic and classic cards and wont be required to craft cards. So they wont need dust, so they can get away without buying too many packs. that will cause blizzard to make less money.
I don't mean to make them "as good as" new cards, but at least make them playable. even just one attack or 1 health could make a difference on a lot of them.
Why would someone with the ability to hack a game of Hearthstone waste his time, energy and even put himself at risk for something like that? Doesn't make any sense to me...
I too share this opinion. On the flip side, i know a couple 12 year old's who hacked a kids computer and sent him virus's because he talked shit to them in a dinosaur FPS game. It's a weird time to be alive O.O idk what people are capable of but i think this situation is probably more hearthstone server issues.

there is a video on youtube confirming this

actually this is only partially correct. you can start a game in each of these, and concede immediately and it will count as visiting the battleground
