As insane as that stream was, just think how it wouldve turned out if his opponent had a single board clear.
You can basically use this argument for any card.
There will be games where there is 5/6 stats on the board (plus the enemy gets a random pirate). Which board clear will help you? Backed up by leeroy, by face weapons and now also redraw. The high roll potential is insane.
Or imagine coin Captain on turn 2 with this. Seriously, all this causes is frustration.
This card is super strong in my opinion. With a low mana curve deck, you will likely already have cards in your hand for the first few turns. If not, you can just hold off. As soon as you reach the tipping point, you embiggen to get crazy value. I mean the squirrel guy will be a 2 mana 4 3, still not to bad.
I would go as far as to call it meta defining. Obvioudly the conparison to surrender to madness is ridicolous.
I mean this has ideal scenarios against some types of decks, but the same is true for cards like hakar.
Honestly it is good that this exists, but it will only have a spot in certain situations and tournaments. 5 mana 5 5 is just to mediocre in constructed...
I think people might be underestimating this. It's a good reload option after the first boardclear. In other more board centric matchups, this is a win more nail in the coffin. Pretty sure this is going to see play.
Guys. Seriously. A "no politics rule" is conpletely normal for all sports. Seriously. To enforce this has the benefits of not having political discussions (like this one) after each GM match, because someone did say something pro China, the other Pro Hong Kong. This rule has reasons and it makes sports apolitical, which is good.
Enforcing this does *not* say that Blizzard agrees or disagrees with HK, it says that they want politics out of this.
Imagine Blizzard would have not done this. Suddenly the whole GM will be about who speaks out against China, which player does not and is loyal. You have discussions about who wears a red shirt and discussions about Taiwan.
That is NOT an environment that is good for Hearthstone.
Again, the cause might align with your view, but you nees to separate this here.
... and this is why they discourage political discussions in the forums, as well as why they don't run political stories on the site.
Exactly. Hearthstone / Streams / forums should all remain apolitical. There is other places and other media for this.
You guys are wrong tho you cannot just prevent people to speak politics and claim that you are apolitical. Because banning people from talking about politics means that you are taking a political stance like what happened with Blizchung today.
In order to be apolitical you suppose to let people discuss politics as much as they want but don't take any sides or make any comments about it.
You can either allow everyone to speak politics and thus risk that you suddenly are abused as a political plattform and you have to constantly say "Blizzard distances itself from all political statements" or you just ban all political speeches no matter what.
Just because a cause does align with your viewpoint (and in this case, it does for me too), does not mean it belongs to Hearthstone. Blizzards actions does not say "Hail China", it says "we dont want to be involved at all with all this". Both views have the same motivation of keeping your business alive and apolitical.

this is crazy good, even if conditional.

Even without sidequest this would meh. 4 mana for +6+/6 on the hero would probably still not see play.
But hey! Gonk Memes.
