I wish this were true unfortunately its not. Without terrible draws its one of the best standard decks I’ve seen. It can flood the board with huge minions at least 8 times and will be chipping your heal the whole time. It still retains its burst potential too. Even worse than the 8/8s sometimes is the 5/5 weapon they can get twice for basically fee. If you have a deck code that is proven to do well against it I’d love to know what it is because I’ve tried just about all of them now and haven't found anything consistently beats it.
sure...shaman has over 60% win rate, everyone else is just bad..
It's only 60% (on day 3) because it's just a better version of an already proven t1 archetype. Once other builds refine it will return to mid50 like before

No. For each expansion, the payerbase is quicker at refining decks. There have already been enough games played to know we are entering msg pirate warrior/shaman and Corridor Creeper territory.
The most disturbing about this deck is that it has both an extremely high overall winrate and lacks good counters. The numbers show the best counters are only slightly below 50% vs it, which should not be considered a counter at all, but rather a fair matchup.
I'm playing shaman deck this entire time since nothing else is even close. I lost only to god high roll draws from my opponents and other shamans. Obviously 4.6% winrate gap between 1st and 2nd class is acceptable, 67% wr deck is not strong as it still loses one in three games. Just use removal on rush minions. XDDDDD
The issue is, Galakrond is never in a vacuum in a shaman--you are ether facing an aggro overload shaman or quest shaman that is capable to putting down a massive power spike. As both quest shaman and aggro shaman are very good decks, adding Galakrond on top of their existing game is really powerful. Sure, you can save removals for those 8/8s but this disrupts your ability to deal with the rest of the deck.
it is definitely god tier worst thing about it not drawing galakrond. when shaman plays galakrond they don't only get board control but also leave huge minions on board before shaman plays the galakrond you cannot even prepare a big board to deal with him because of damn too much control mechanics invoke also helps greatly.
Shaman is obviously strong but the meta is still developing so there may be decks found that suppress it. Personally I would like to see shaman nerfs because im so sick of facing them and playing the same game over and over, but might put more effort into developing a deck that counters them!
I think it's the most obvious choice for the early meta. It allows for some board flooding, board control, and incredible value. It's more of what shaman didn't need more of: power and value.
Shaman certainly feels awful to face when you can't contest their board, but I don't think it's tier S come January/February. I don't think that means it should get skipped on a serious consideration for nerfing at least one of their tools: quest reward. Making all battlecries in a turn double up has been absurd since it was introduced and regardless of how long it remains at the top of the meta, it's a wildly overpowered quest reward in a quest that doesn't ask any sacrifice in deck building to do obtain the reward (as the best-designed quests do).
I'm more concerned about mage's potential once all the dunces stop trying to play a tempo game and start running it as a control build. Then it steamrolls; I've seen it handily beat every meta deck in the game, and the win rates for mage aren't going to reflect its potential as long as it's used incorrectly. (This wasn't anything I discovered on my own, btw, but a control buddy of mine that has really cleaned up with it).
You are right, OP: it's still very early to declare shaman as utterly broken, but it's not fair to decide that a whole community has it wrong and that shaman isn't crazy overpowered going from Saviors of Uldum meta to Descent of Dragons meta. I think we've had enough of Blizzard mishandling shaman's power levels because they can't balance the overload mechanic.

I couldnt agree more with this comment. It is not about saving a few removals, we are not that dumb. You use mass removal wenn you have to. But the shell ist just insanely strong. Wolfs, a thousand lackeys, overload. There is a lot of shit to handle.
It's too early to decide whether this needs to be nerfed, but not too early to see that's going to be a T1 deck(s). Battlecry shaman basically was tier 1 /2 from day 1 of saviors. The power of day 1 did not overpromise either. And galakron is just nuts.
Ive said it before but this time im actually done. Shaman killed the game for me. Played HS since beta. Never seriously considered leaving before, even if i stated i might. But this time, yep. Ill keep watching streamers because that is about the only enjoyable part of HS right now but i suspect they wont be taking this bullshit for much longer either.

It is not so strong no. It is totally broken.

O RLY.
Guys just play Control Galakrond Priest with every board clear available and you win EASILY vs. Galakrond Shaman...
Hey. =)
Everyone quotes the win rate of shaman but people shamelessly admit that to auto conceding thus inflating it’s win rate
it seems strong i have 7/2 with it so far

I have to concede 5 or 6 times for each game I played because I don't want to play with or against shaman anymore.
With numbers like this everyone saying the class is not broken, insanely overpowered, busted out of the charts is only denying the facts.
It's not the first time at the start of expansion one deck dominates. It allways end up it is either OP tier0 or at worst tier1.
worst T1 i still insane lol

LOL LOL LOL. How...obnoxious l.
Yeah man quest shaman just turned into trash after a week last expansion, thank god.
