Bundles are in the shop now, 60 bucks for all the gifs.

Its insane these pictures with sound cost so much. I'm baffled. I honestly would buy some. But not at these prices. I'd imagine they could make more by getting more sales from a more friendly price tag.

Yeah they generally feel expensive enough for me that I would not buy them as an impulse purchase. But it is just cosmetics and I get plenty of cosmetics from the season pass so I don't mind at the end of the day. Just being reminded of the vast difference in expendable income depending on location.

Honestly the issue is Aggro Hunter and to a much lesser extend Questline Mage having little counterplay (with spell mage you can at least never drop minions I guess). This means that every deck that is viable needs to be able to out-aggro those two.

Worst case scenario there won't be new reveals from streamers... blizzard can just reveal the cards themselves if more youtubers/streamers do the same.

Also I do feel it makes sense to affect hearthstone, the same company that goes as progressive with gender stuff can't allow sexual harassment (or be ignorant of it) just a couple of desks away. It's hypocritical at the least.

The company started growing progressive with gender issues as soon as they started being investigated. Coincidence?

Vigilante justice is more fun and the Kibler's of the world are the best at it.  When he said he wasn't going to cast any HS stuff after the Hong Kong crap, he came back as soon as it was good for his pocket book.

This department at the State of California needs to prove its worth, so what better way than to shake down a large public company who no doubt will pay a fine and say sorry to make it go away.  They can get funding from the fine with an easy target who they know won't fight back.

If it was a good case, why didn't a class action lawyer take it on behalf of these people?  These are legitimate questions that the fake justice warriors like Kibler won't ask.

Because employees have come forth and said that they requested this investigation for years? Because the investigation actually lasted two years and the State is presenting its case? Because the State is supposed to protect the rights of citizens and not everything needs to be a private initiative?

The state of california uses its justice system for political ends all the time. I respect their decisions, but who the hell knows whether it's just a bunch of disgruntled employees finding the right person in government or true. It's easy money for the California government as I'm sure they'll demand payment of a "fine".  This should've been done with a class action lawsuit by the victims. Feels wrong that the state is getting involved in what could be true or false allegations.

But the issue is not unlawful termination or something like that. Yes, the equal pay issues could be served by a class action suit (but the state lawsuit will probably be asking for damages to be awarded to the employees involved) but we have issues of harassment and even a suicide here. Plus it is part of the state's job to protect the rights of employees? I mean I know this is the US we are talking about but still . . . no one should have to depend on private initiative to defend legal rights.

I don't know all the details but seems to me that if you want to make a stand, cut your ties. Don't wait a day to then do your goofy card reveal and continue to benefit from promotion provided by a company that you're making a stand against.

This situation became public knowledge today.

Also I've seen multiple posts by former employees who are saying that the issue is with a small number of people and those in charge who never held them accountable and who proceed to ask people not to take their justified anger for this situation out on the product and the many devs doing their job (and having no real power to affect change).

What I would have done if I was one of those streamers is show the card in like a 5 second video and then proceed to raise awareness about the issue, linking the report, Blizzard's response, the views of former employees and maybe some resources on what to do when you are subject to sexual harassment at work or when you suspect you are paid less because of your gender or race.

Blizzard is denying the allegations so who do we believe? On one hand the people we don't know or the other people we don't know. Self righteous thinking without any concrete evidence. If you care stream another game, but I guess the money can make you look the other way right..

Did you read their denial? Was that denial a "competent response" in your viewpoint? Is it even a denial? "We've done a lot to improve after you caught us with our pants down"doesn't change the fact they were walking with their pants down for a decade until they got caught.

And really, let's ignore harassment. Equal pay issues are not exactly subjective. Payroll and job description are both hard facts and if the state alleges there is an issue, then they have facts supporting them.

If you read a bit about Blizz’s CEO, you start wondering if you should keep giving any money to his company. Now this is another stone to their grave, and I know it’ll help me quit my HS addiction.

Here is the thing. Kottick is a sleazy fuck who wants to make money out of gamers, who he largely considers losers. And that's offensive but really, props to him for making it work. He is not actually hurting anyone except the shareholders for getting such a large cut (and that's why there was at least some action on that).

The upper management in Blizzard Entertainment, and by the posts of server former employees as well as the actual report the issue is with Blizzard and predates even the merger, allowed a small number of people to constantly harass female employees with no real repercussions. This happened for YEARS until an investigation started two years ago. Afrasiabi was only let go AFTER the investigation happened. They didn't really make any serious effort until that point. Things probably have improved since then simply because they know they are being investigated and if we get to the point of a female employee committing suicide on a trip where her male supervisor brought butt plugs and lube is NOT the tipping point but only the investigation is, there comes a point when the shareholders need to step in and just straight up demand that everyone who was upper management or part of HR before 2019 be removed.
