I don't know all the details but seems to me that if you want to make a stand, cut your ties. Don't wait a day to then do your goofy card reveal and continue to benefit from promotion provided by a company that you're making a stand against.
This situation became public knowledge today.
OK? Suspend your association then until an outcome. Don't put it back 24 hours so you can virtue signal and have a flood of "good for you, fight the fight! I support you!"
Support what? Putting back your incredibly privileged opportunity? Put out a statement and sya until this is resolved, I won't be streaming Blizzard games or working with them.
Saw somewhere Kibler isn't streaming HS for a week. A week haha. OK, man, you're really sticking it to the man there!
Like I said, hypocrites. Happy to lap up the benefits, don't want that going away, but want the plaudits for 'doing something'. They've done fuck all but you can already see all the seel claps they're getting and 'support'. Bleating on about support on a forum none of these people will read literally means nothing. Instead of talking about and playing a game, made by a company you're so disgusted by, go volunteer at a women's refuge or anything that actually contributes something. Condescending pricks like hat talking to 'men'. Fuck you mate, don't presume to talk for me, you don't know me, you have zero idea what I've done, supported, helped with, but because you put a tweet out saying 'men' have to shut up and do better, you're doing something? Nerdy little prick.
Blizz should just cancel all the streams and reveals and playHS should reveal them in a new stream on Monday that skips kibler and the others who frankly, don’t do the stream any justice. They want to call you out, fine, take their content. Let them do reaction videos or whatever other idiocy they do.
I don't care about any of those i just want cards man
I can say with 100% certainty that anyone up voting this comment is a white male, like me.
It's very hard to do, but I encourage anyone reading this to really imagine experiencing something like harassment or racism, and then you can be just a little bit less selfish, for the betterment of all.
Influencers must do their job as the contracts says.
Guilty must be proven by laws and lawyers.
Influencers are the only proven guilty at the moment.
What "contract" are you referring to? So far as I'm aware, there is no contract that compels the streamers provided with a card to release said card. Sure, they're given a date and a time slot, but they aren't legally obligated to release the card tmk, unless you have a source that says otherwise?
The state of california uses its justice system for political ends all the time. I respect their decisions, but who the hell knows whether it's just a bunch of disgruntled employees finding the right person in government or true. It's easy money for the California government as I'm sure they'll demand payment of a "fine". This should've been done with a class action lawsuit by the victims. Feels wrong that the state is getting involved in what could be true or false allegations.

Also I've seen multiple posts by former employees who are saying that the issue is with a small number of people and those in charge who never held them accountable and who proceed to ask people not to take their justified anger for this situation out on the product and the many devs doing their job (and having no real power to affect change).
What I would have done if I was one of those streamers is show the card in like a 5 second video and then proceed to raise awareness about the issue, linking the report, Blizzard's response, the views of former employees and maybe some resources on what to do when you are subject to sexual harassment at work or when you suspect you are paid less because of your gender or race.
But this is far too good of an opportunity to virtue signal. Many replies on here show exactly that, she'll get a ton of support for doing this whilst also getting Co tinued benefits from partnering with Blizzard. They say you can't have your cake and eat it but not here, seemingly.
She's a martyr for putting off a card reveal for a day. It seems utterly ridiculous to me.

But the issue is not unlawful termination or something like that. Yes, the equal pay issues could be served by a class action suit (but the state lawsuit will probably be asking for damages to be awarded to the employees involved) but we have issues of harassment and even a suicide here. Plus it is part of the state's job to protect the rights of employees? I mean I know this is the US we are talking about but still . . . no one should have to depend on private initiative to defend legal rights.
Vigilante justice is more fun and the Kibler's of the world are the best at it. When he said he wasn't going to cast any HS stuff after the Hong Kong crap, he came back as soon as it was good for his pocket book.
This department at the State of California needs to prove its worth, so what better way than to shake down a large public company who no doubt will pay a fine and say sorry to make it go away. They can get funding from the fine with an easy target who they know won't fight back.
If it was a good case, why didn't a class action lawyer take it on behalf of these people? These are legitimate questions that the fake justice warriors like Kibler won't ask.

From which part of your body did you pull that certainty out of, mr. "white male"?

Because employees have come forth and said that they requested this investigation for years? Because the investigation actually lasted two years and the State is presenting its case? Because the State is supposed to protect the rights of citizens and not everything needs to be a private initiative?

"very hard to do"
Oh wow, how patronising and ignorant. I lived in an Arab country for a good part of my life, a country that legit has zero regard for rights like this. No HR. Nobody gives a shit if you're treated badly and I've had everything from not being able to shop in places because I'm white, being refused entry at 'normal' price, being removed from buses for insisting on paying the local price and not the white price, being openly talked about and laughed at on a personal and cultural level because they assume you don't understand the Arabic. Literally every day I'd have to give up in a shop, spend ages arguing about transport, ignoring the cat calls, weird noises and hisses made my way when I walked down the main street, having to take an escort with me to do X, Y or Z. When political riots kicked off, my uncle was targeted for being white and beaten to the point he later died. Yes, I know how it feels and no, Allie is doing fuck all to help anybody in that position.

Did you watch Allie's video? She was very upfront about her reasoning: It was simply bad timing to do something celebratory (reveal a card) on the same day this news came out. She's not trying to punish Blizzard, or else she surely would have canceled altogether. She knows it's not her place -- just like it's not yours or mine -- to decide Blizzard's guilt or innocence in this matter.
However, it's entirely appropriate to use this moment to raise awareness of the problems discussed in the lawsuit, problems that are extremely pervasive in the gaming industry and American society. I've worked in that industry, and I can attest to the fact that discrimination and sexism are rampant.

Guess #metoo skipped the gaming industry. Shit like this should not fly in 2021, but i doubt anyone is surprised.

Reveal the damn cards.
Punish the creators
not the game.
Now we know why Ben Brode suddenly left the company years ago...

I don't see how holding cards changes anything other than useless virtue signalling.
So you're saying you upvoted that comment on Page 1? Why would you do that?
Then you aren't familiar with how the legal system works. 90% of lawsuits are extortion attempts that get dismissed or dropped.
