I might agree, but he's comparable to Bloodmage Thalnos. Yes, he see's play in a lot of decks due to his versatility, but at the same time, he helps slow the game down in my opinion, and he's neutral, meaning that he doesn't benefit any particular class. Also, if mech decks will work after rotation, he will be the biggest reason why.
The part in your opinion I highlighted is spot on and exactly why I am worried. A neutral card that carries an archetype (Think Malygos) is exactly what this community has issues with. Maybe right now it is powerful, but fair like others are saying. However, I feel on release Zilliax turns into something much more threatening, and at that point "tech silence" is no longer a good enough argument.
I'm not gonna say I dislike this card, from a design perspective it makes sense to have a minion like this in the game. The boomsday Project had to have some essence of power come out of it. Out of the set this really is the only card that strikes me with some trouble though. The auto-include aspect of cards is usually where I go to when deciding why I think a card is out of balance, and I think I finally settled on this card being ever so slightly too much. Auto-include in control, auto-include in combo, any deck that utilizes Corpsetaker needs this card, and plenty of off-meta mech decks happily utilize it (though if it had a home at any mana or stat or description this would clearly be the place). I want to know what you all think. Is a 5 mana 3/2 rush, lifesteal, divine shield, taunt, magnetic too much? Is it one keyword too big? Two? Is it too cost effective for what it offers? Let me know what you think and keep these cards in mind when you compare its stats and effects:
I like the play on Cairne with the Marywn cards. The second summon having some upside is actually pretty decent, and the additional health (comparing the ratio) probably makes it an auto-include in most aggressive or deathrattle minion focused decks.
You could do this for the Wild sets, that way you don't have to dust craft old sets you can't buy packs for. 10 bucks a month subscription with auto-renewal allows full access to the wild collection, but any sets in standard would have to be purchased like they are now.
I guarantee the population would switch heavily to just playing wild and then Blizzard would lose money on their strongest IP. Then once this game, overwatch, and WoW finally died together Activision would just scrub off Blizzard and it would all cease to exist. $120 a year per player pales in comparison to the upwards of $500+ they make on idiots every year who don’t care about blowing tons of money on a card game they aren’t even competitive in. Seriously I’ve seen horror stories of people claiming to dropping $1000 on purchases through 2018 alone. That’s 10 of your players who only want wild in 1 standard player who wants every card and gets between rank 5 and dumpster legend every month.
Thank whoever is watching over us at Blizzard Genn and Baku are peace-ing out of standard... I hope the person who made Stonehill Defender lost their job in that lay-off. It is an ODD deck that can get an EVEN card that highly synergizes with your ODD FLOOD GAMEPLAN. Seriously I cannot believe this interaction survived as long as it did, but Reddit got DK Rexxar's hero power upgraded, Tess to keep casting spells, and Raza to stop machine gunning free damage from DK Priest. This is just bullshit the amount of times Stonehill pulls Tarim. WhErE's YoUr BaLaNcE nOw BlIzZaRd?!
I hate the idea that this game "costs" anything to play. What as the player do YOU want to do with it? Ascend to Legend? Collect cards and have fun? Play solo content/Arena? Make wacky archetypes in deck format? Wild? You decide as the player what you want to spend to play the way you want to play. Want to grind to legend? Guess what... Players did it with a free to play hunter deck in 2017 and 2018. Get over this "Hearthstone is too expensive for new players". If you want to play a ton of different cards you need to spend money. If I want a ton of skins in a game I need to buy them. If I want champions in LoL... I need to buy them if they aren't on rotation. If I want cosmetics...I need to buy them. Yes as it turns out to bypass all the hard work other players have committed years to you have to pony up some money. Is that really such a cardinal greedy sin of a developer?
Ok I've done this a ton today but let me do this from a hardcore perspective. You currently have all copies (non-golden) of each of these cards, and have the ability to create goldens of them because you have a big stockpile.

Stupid move unless there is a new cube style or discard card introduced. A 5 mana 5/7 charge with a bad battlecry is not broken. It doesn't even seem to be a design constraint because the 1 manna 1/3 when you discard draw was played alongside this and still wasn't so broken that people complained. I think since the devs already started gutting other Heroes they felt the need to do it to warlocks classics as well.
does it still work that you will get the full 3200 dust for them and then you can also disenchant them for 1.6k each?
No, you "only" get teh crafting cost without disenchanting your copies. If you DE your copies, you will get the usual 1/4th dust (1/8th if it is common).
If you can afford the golden versions, craft them and dust the normal ones. Same for the rest of the ones being HoF. You will get a dust refund according to whichever you have and so it’s basically free golden cards after the refund. Total it’s 17,200 dust. I just did it with 8k left to spare.
That is only recommendable if you want golden cards or do not have regular copies. As long as you already own regular copies and want to earn dust, do nothing is the best approach.
NO! I'm so tired of this being taught the wrong way.
You have the current legendary baku and dust it for +400
You craft the Golden Baku for -3200
You then get the refund, AUTOMATICALLY NO DUSTING, at rotation for +3200
Then if you don't care about wild you dust that copy for another +3200
Cards that rotate hall of fame are treated like a nerf, you get full refunds and dust/craft value. DO NOT fall victim to poor explanations. You have the chance to make a ton of dust this expansion. I have done this for years.
Genn is suffering for Baku's mistreatment of standard. I really don't think the Genn decks were all that scary or detrimental, but if one goes- both go. GG NO RE

To get this straight... you built one of the most expensive current meta decks and you have no clue how to play it? OMEGALUL

New math hear changes at the dusting line: dust value standard is 5,560
Thus it is 1,340-19,200+19,200+5,560 which is 6,900 dust
0
Correction! Yes I was wrong you don't get full value at dusting

Ok I've done this a ton today but let me do this from a hardcore perspective. You currently have all copies (non-golden) of each of these cards, and have the ability to create goldens of them because you have a big stockpile.
Dusting them all yields (in your order):
10, 10, 40, 40, 40, 200, 200, 400, 400 for +1,340 dust
You then craft goldens of them as you calculated:
800, 800, 1600, 1600, 1600, 3200, 3200, 3200, 3200 for -19,200 dust
AT ROTATION (NO DUSTING NEEDED): You get that investment back of +19,200 dust for full refund value
Then you dust them all (Assuming you don't care about wild): You also dust for full value there as well for +19,200 dust
Thus you end up with 1,340-19,200+19,200+19,200 for 20,540 dust in profit
