posted a message on Ever though about why warrior is doing bad in latest metas?

Fan of the class and got multiple legends with the control variant, even grinding in tier 4 metas with it, but why exactly it is doing so bad these days(other than war axe nerf ~RIP)?

Sure, the classic and basic sets are very good, got cheap removal(execute and shield slam) and good aoe with rng(brawl), even we still had win axe, would the class do fine?

Mostly no. These removal does not provide enough tempo anymore with bonemares and corridor creepers, same to brawl, as boards go taller as oppose to wide. But if the old aggro slayer can't beat with consistency aggro, what do it do against midrange and control? Do I need to answer? Yes, it's still possible to grind in legend with N'zoth, mill, big, tempo variants, but the ammount of grinding and thinking time is way a turn off against tier 2 and 1 deck, which every other class got a foot on.

But what about other sets? Then we got the conclusion of the title question, simples, newer warrior cards are way TOO FAIR in comparison to what others got. With very little to no mechanics to abuse, and when they work, is mostly in specific matchups and got obliterate in the rest. Even aggro/ tempo.

Sure, we got a period of pirate warrior dominancy, but other than it being a braindead aggro deck which I despise, (also, important to note, I despise BRAINDEAD decks, like jade druid too, not exactly AGGRO decks), was mostly due to neutral cards and lack of tempo counter-play by other matchups in the time.

I know the game isn't the most complex and deep, but from the moment it went to """""e-sports""""",  I though it's valid to discuss :)

posted a message on Rank 5 Menagerie Hunter

Getting top 300 with trash quest rogue isn't so difficult, I have friends who literally started 2 months ago, netdecked quest rogue and are already oscillating in ranks 2~5 at the middle of this season, sooo much skill, and no, I don't struggle in this matchup ;)

In this season, already won against 4 jade druids on ranks 5~3 with control warrior! Man, that feels so much better than winning against aggro! Their mulligan for pirates helps a lot, and you gotta be super aggro, throw the ghouls on empty board and force them to use feral rages as removal, go all in!

posted a message on Been Away for 2 months, What changed if anything ?

Pirates took over the meta with the adition of Small-Time Buccaneer and Patches the Pirate and you often take lethal in turn 5, Shaman is still tier 1, but now back in aggro form using pirates, but he is not alone there, pirate Warrior rises with him along with renolock and reno mage, which is one of the few counters, hence the nickname of the meta, Patches Vs. Renos/Kazakus.

But, not for long, although reno's are inconsistent, because... well, that is the condition for your cards to trigger, they'll rotate, and Kazakus even if super powerful, will not be enough to justify the decks existence.

Jade Druids auto win control decks with Jade Idol, a 1 infinite combo card, but are now not that frequent in the meta in comparison to launch of MsoG.

Priests are now tier 2 due to Drakonid Operative and gave his trash tier to Hunter. Palladin is a little better than our beasts' friend, but not that much, most used deck in ladder is Anyfin.

Some classic cards will rotate, no cards will be moved to classic(reno, Justicar, Brann, etc) and Team 5 became a little more communicative, community often bashes whatever they say, half the time they say gibberish, and... I thinks that's it for a start.

posted a message on Card games with less random events

I got to legend for the second time last season, without having fun at all, climbing with renolock for the purpose of... I dont even know why Im grinding in this game in the day, i dont even have fun or feel accomplished, relieved, maybe, for taking to the final rank. I got really bored of HS mechanics, the heavy rng, the polarized meta, super aggro decks or infinite jades/ reno decks, and how slow the changes the dev team apply to the game, and IF the meta doesnt "correct itself". Just remember how long they took to nerf patron and undertaker.

So I'm taking a break till the next rotation takes place, I tried Faeria, very cool card game, with a nice lore, a little rng here and there, reccomend it. Elder Scrolls, also interesting, complex, but rng on the prophecy can really reward you for nothing. I wanted to try Shadowverse, people seems to make it sound really fun and with not much rng, but the art is too much cringey for me(not that HS art is that good lately, really like the classic set, though).

Do you guys know of any other card game with low rng other than... drwaing randomly from your deck? Like MtG OR Yugioh, I remeber Yugioh having really few cards with coin tosses, but not that common.

If you're on NA pass me your tag, I'm climbing with a control n'zoth shaman quite like your list, but  a bit more dynamic against midrange/aggro

Even if Control Priest becomes very strong, lots of people are still going to play agro decks for the quick win rate (while they might still lose to Priest, they probably won't encounter a ton of them).

The question is whether most people would play a 55% win rate deck with each game taking 5 minutes, or a 65-70% win rate deck with each game taking 15-20 minutes....

THIS. Aggro decks will always be in the preference if they are viable cause of the short game duration, higher win rate doesn't matter for some if you can make up for your losses really fast. I've climbed to legend with Yogg control warrior, that took 5 times more than if I climbed with hunter or midrange shaman, but I enjoyed it, a big part just want to rank up really soon.

I don't know why, is the card back so important or they really have fun playing an auto-pilot deck? I mean, you play a card game to interact with people, super aggro decks kinda lose this sense, there's tons of games for this.
Don't play on the ladder then.
Folks genuinely play to get out of the 'easy ranks' as fast as possible which is around 20-12 roughly. After that you'll see the real form of what folks are playing and experimenting with. Everything above that is basically just folks playing on the ladder casually with no real goal or reason to be there.
Folks aren't playing Hearthstone to interact with others. There's no way to interact with others, emotes are fun to pass the time and piss off people but... not much else than that.
I play ladder because I enjoy the challenge a lot, I'm not complaining about them being op, they run out of steam fast, if you know the matchup. You logic to people escape easy ranks would make sense if I didn't saw a lot of aggro shamans by ranks 5+ pre-yogg nerf and on legend, as well as pirates last season. But whatever makes aggro players(you included?) happy, haha

Edit: I'm talking about pirates, Jade Idol for me is straight broken, expect a nerf for it after the meta settles down, but one that doesn't destroy the card.
After all, like everyone said, the meta is too new, these decks are auto constructed just like the c'thun ones in the beginning of the WOG meta.

posted a message on A revision of Warlock Legendaries so far

Nice topic, I think hunter and shamans suffer from a similar problem, not that the classes need any help(shaman, LUL), but the legendaries fail to enable different competitive archetypes, being the exception White Eyes, really looking for a ladder viable Control Shaman.
