I must admit though, it is quite satisfying when you can play until your control warrior opponent is completey out of cards and you're at 30 health with 9 cards left.
I wish I had something else to bait out the Big Game Hunter's because a lot of people are running one of these to deal with the abundance of Dr. Boom's and unfortunately my Prophet Velen often gets picked off with this as a result.
I'm having a really tough time with this deck; I think I'm barely at 50% wins. Most of the time I'm sitting on the defensive with nothing to do except try to control the board; and I don't always have good answers for the opponents threats. I find it particularly frustrating when they have some 4 attack minions on the board that I can't remove. The abundance of deathrattle minions is also a huge pain. I'm not really sure what to change or how to play it differently. Thoughts?
Very cool deck, I've been waiting for a chance to use both my Priest Legendaries! This deck does take a lot of patience and thinking in order to play properly. I wish there was a strategy video on this or something. I find that I usually have to wait forever for a good opportunity to play Prophet Velen; like, I almost have to go through all of their removal spells. I love the syngergy with Vol'jin and Shadowform. I'm wondering, do you ever play out the Wild Pyromancer's early or do you always wait for a combo opportunity first?
Yea I would say ladder right now where I am (around rank 7) is about 50% ctrl Warrior at least, then 40% face Hunter, and 10% other. It's actually pretty boring seeing the same 2 decks over and over.
I just tried glooms deck, lost yet again to hunter and warrior.
I refuse to play hunter right now though. It's just so incredibly lame to me that everyone literally uses the exact same deck and wins so easily. I seriously just feel like rage-quitting at the start everytime I queue up a hunter opponent at this point.
Thanks for the advice everyone, I really appreciate it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that my fundamentals in gameplay aren't that bad given that I've played a ton of games, watched pros play on twitch and youtube, and played quite a bit of mtg and poker before hearthstone.
I actually find the zoo matchup considerably easier than the hunter because it doesn't have the added pressure of 2 extra damage per turn or secrets to deal with.
I am definitely removing the oozes now, despite the number of warriors and hunters I face, as they're too situational and I don't see any pros using them right now.
@gloomisawesome I really like your decklist there, what's your rank? I like the number of options you have with reincarnate.
I just don't get what you're supposed to do when your opponent coins out 2 undertakers on the first turn then hits you for 6 on turn 2 and has 4 minions on the board and hits you for like 12 on turn 3....
I now actually have 8% win vs Hunter. Yes EIGHT PERCENT, that means 92% LOSS RATE. By the time I actually establish a board presence and deal with all their shit, they can kill me just with their hero power and/or a kill command.
I've just been watching a player on twitch by the name of Koyuki0 and he just achieved legend rank with shaman. He was using 2x zombie chow, doomhammer and al'akir, 2x defender of argus, 1 x harvest golem, 1x gnomish inventor, 2x haunted creeper, and all the usually jazz.
I updated the deck list in the OP. The games I win are so close and lucky; usually it just comes down to a coin toss on who can top deck the right card to pull it off.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm now considering removing the ghouls and adding a Gnomish Inventor for the 4 slot and Acidic Swamp Ooze as I see a lot of hunter and warrior weapons.

How do you beat control warrior? I've seriously tried every deck I can think of and I have < 50% with any class. Help?

No Powermace ?
2
Seems nice, except no card draw?

I wonder if Unbound Elemental might fit in this deck since you have 11 overload cards. Also, I wonder if Bloodmage Thalnos has a spot (perhaps instead of 1x Mana Tide Totem).

What do you think about Cogmaster?
