I mean, you are not wrong, but they also released cards like Undertaker, Jade Idol, Mysterious Challenger, and stuff like these. Cards that were clearly overpowered at release, and some of those never even got nerfed, or they got nerfed after months. So its nothing new, and I dont praise them for frequent nerfs, yes they should test the cards more. Im just saying that HS is not worse compared to the older days when they didnt change anything for long months. At least the meta is not so stale, and thanks to the power level the wild meta is also affected greatly with new expansions. And maybe, just maybe this is why the power level is so high, because in China wild is more popular than standard, and this way they can sell more packs. And I dont complain about it since I play more wild than standard, but thats just my opinion.

TouchedSage posted a message on The power level of this set is actually insanePosted in: General DiscussionAs somone who has played almost exclusively Priest for the last year I can tell you it has nothing to do with ‘screwing other players’. It is that as Hearthstone has morphed into Swingstone with tons of swingy OP cards, Priest is the only class that has a chance against a wide variety of decks. The win rate is not so great but at least there is a chance of pulling out a victory instead of auto conceding against 50% of classes. It is clear that Scholomance is going to turn the swingy up to 11 which some people are going to love but I think it is going to be a total s*itshow.

Poghy posted a message on Scholomance Academy Card Reveal Stream - All 59 Remaining Cards!Posted in: NewsQuote from Purpenflurb >>The meta doesn't get solved all that much faster because you let a few streamers play early, and even with the theorycraft streams I still see plenty of variety on expansion launch. The meta gets solved because of large scale data analysis on millions of games, not because a few streamers get to play a few hundred extra games.
Maybe the meta is not gonna be solved, but this event promotes netdecking before day 1 instead of everyone just experimenting with the new cards. This event just ruins the day 1 experience.

The package drops nicely into any spell shaman list;

ShadowAldrius posted a message on Scholomance is shaping up to be one of the best expansions everPosted in: General DiscussionAfter like 12 of these election cycles, all the negging about half the cards that are released if they're not IMMEDIATE top tier game winning cards that'll be seen in tier 1 or tournament decks is so irritating I can't even pretend to have patience for it anymore.
Honestly. Who cares if a card is maybe going to go into a more niche or fun deck. Who cares if Rattlegore is great in a big warrior deck, which may or may not be a top tier ladder deck. Who cares. It's reveal season, why not look for possibilities instead of just whining about every single little thing.
People are entitled to their opinions but I am SO over it. People coming in and trying to shut down every conversation anyone could possibly want to have about new cards.
Rattlegore is great in big warrior (decks with Dimensional Ripper & The Boom Reaver)
Instructor Turalyon gives slower Paladin decks some hard removal. Which they desperately want.
Jandice Barov is a good tempo cardThe Mage/Shaman legendary is great in literally any mage deck I can think of. And the pure mage legendary enables combo Mage, while being a far more flexible card than Malygos ever was.
Like it really doesn't take much to think of how these cards COULD be good. And if not in this set, then maybe in the next one. -

xClusive posted a message on Scholomance is shaping up to be one of the best expansions everPosted in: General DiscussionSo...after today my hopes gone from HIGH to ZERO.
Literally we will see 80% Smorc Tempo DH on Ladder again, the newest DH cards are (as many predicted) once again way too busted over the top cancerious and mostly all Face oriented.
Since they also finally got a card that can single handedly take out Spell Druid / Aggro decks as well, there is no reason not to play Tempo Demonhunter this entire expansion.
Username checks out.
I'll say this once again; the Hearthstone community has been notoriously garbage at predicting anything. Expansion drops in about 10 days, but my man's already beyond salty. Must be fun to be you, buddy.

OoZuNoO posted a message on Scholomance is shaping up to be one of the best expansions everPosted in: General DiscussionForget the dual class cards (except lightning bloom, druids and shamans will be good for the next 2 years yay), the neutral legendaries are INSANE this expansion, lots of uses in a lot of decks.

Yehh this is nice. Thing is, I dusted him long ago. And I don't think I wanna spend 1600 dust for it right before a new expansion with a new class and more new cards than ever before.
1
Have you not seen the reveal?
Hearthstone just got a brand new aggro class.
And aggro can't die anyway.
Most aggro decks are playable without leeroy.
1
DK probably not. Every class had a DK hero card, they are already in the game. Death Knights are more like dead variants of current classes infused with the power of the lich king, rather than an actual, different class. So the hero card treatment actually makes a lot of sense.
Monk maybe in a few years, I can't see why not if they introduce Demon Hunter.

I don't understand Blizzard's move.
A lot of people including myself didn't preorder because they didn't reveal all the cards.
Well, I don't understand, but I thank blizzard for saving me 20 bucks for once.

People underestimate taunt in a card like this.
Late game this can save you a lot of time. Early game is just slightly below average tempo but has twinspell so it's good.
3
This isn't bad, compare to alleycat.
It costs one more mana but has double taunt and twinspell and silver hand synergy.
Very good standalone card and staple in Even Paladin.
Also I like that twinspell is coming back! I love this keyword.
1
Very good against control and combo, vanilla stats against aggro (mostly). It's a strong card.
2
So this is Plague of Death with 5 armor and a new hero power. Not sure how it will compare to Frostlich jaina. I would definitely play both but it's not optimal.
2
Aggro meta is the easiest to counter, I'd be happy if I faced only aggro hunter and warrior, I'd play heal paladin and have 100% win rate.

Look at that vanilla 4 mana 6/3 from the Gadgetzan expansion. Enough said. You are not correct. Please do not insist, I have more examples. Many cards are made to be useless and war golem isn't the worst of them and Ben Brode has never ever ever ever said that war golem is "the worst card", this is you and you alone.
Not gonna talk about the op's shitty formula that only takes stats into account and means absolutely nothing.
