I like this card, not super powerful but something to keep in mind. It takes a long time to clear those taunts with divine shield. If everyone plays rush mechs and counts on that for removal, this card can protect your board very well for a turn, setting up lethal. They might not even get life with their lifestealer magnetic mech. Buuut it probably wont be played.

Sweet card, but very specifik and not for most decks. I think a lot of people dont understand this kind of effect at all.

Maybe kingsbane (standard) wants this effect, mostly to get more buffs since it is lacking those. Would be very good with some kind of draw minion though, that draws maybe two cards and costs costs around 3 mana...

    Sweet.

I don't have Dr boom. Is it important to have as a finisher?

I played this and similar lists a good amount. It is maybe not the best deck, but good enough and a lot more fun than Spiteful Druid.

What do you think about the deck after nerfs?

Isn't Keleseth maybe a little greedy in a deck that is short on tools for the early game? You could run Shadow Ascendants, for instance, and maybe 2-drop weapon destroyer (acidic?) instead of gluttonous, to get some much needed curve. I feel like there is a lot of late game value in the deck anyway, with lady in white and 2x mind control, and Spiteful obv. I get that Keleseth is super good when you hit him on turn 2, but it doesn't seem to be the main problem with the deck to have mid and late game value. Interested to hear your opinion on that. I haven't made up my mind myself, since Keleseth is so tempting.  :)

[edit] Another question, when do you keep Chameleos and when do you mulligan it? Still haven't gotten the hang of that. :)

    ok. :)

interesting with no scalebane, I think it is difficult to cut but I can see why it is slow, no immidiate pressure.

Good reasoning with oil, I Never tried cutting it but thinking about it it is almost Always just a +3 weapon spell and nothing else, which isn't super exiting. I think it might Still be correct with a split of One oil and One corsair (of something), and it does seem a Little strange to cut prep, it is such a strong card and important to have prep+vanish after valeera often. But drawing two can be bad, so maybe that is ok.

With 5 pirates, do you think patches would be worth running?

Have you tried Doomsayer vs aggro? Or something else. I get crushed by all the paladins and other aggro...[edit: forgot to mention Conceal, which is what I have tried with Doomsayer as "build your own board clear" for Rogue. To make room for that I don't run backstab, which I found to be low impact, and some other stuff like Fan, Sap and flurry, Little bit on and off about which one is better]

Nice try. :) I like the stonehill defenders, I have been missing taunts in my list.

I think prep and vanish is pretty important to have as follow up turn after you play valeera. How do you deal with a board full of stuff?

I also think Doomsayer is the only way to try to beat aggro. But this deck is so bad against aggro that maybe it isn't worth trying to beat it - just make sure you win your good matchups instead and don't play the deck if you are facing a lot of aggro. Maybe after nerfs a version of this deck can work against a meta with less aggro paladins.

    Very nice article!

I havent tried much, but when I do want to rank up it is usually with a fast deck. Because games take less time, if your time is limited you just get to play more of them. Of course you need a decent Win rate as well. But suppose you can choose between an aggro and a control deck, and expect similar Win rates, then the faster one is more effective.

Yeah, and also you can just choose to not play the the cards you get from Lich King if it looks like you are going to cast Tess.

    Nice deck! +1

I tried it a bit but didn't quite like some things, but I´m still trying this core but with some changes.

How are you doing against Spiteful decks (mainly druid)? I had a lot of problem vs big minions too early. Vilespines help but I lost a lot. Could be I am unlucky and they always get the 12/12 on turn 6, but I added an envenom weapon. It worked pretty well against slow decks since when you get the weapon going you can kill something every turn no matter the size, and you gain enough life back (at least if you also dred deadly poison) to make it not matter too much that you lose a lot of life. Even when I got the weapon to  4 power, it didn't always get me enough value against these sort of midrange decks, where they can snowball the board pretty fast behind various taunts.

+1 I like this a lot. Been very unhappy with miracle Rogue recently, not playing with auctioneer is refreshing.

If you face lots of paladin and aggro, do you think Wild Pyromancer could be a consideration?
