I have experienced by now that devs keep overlooking overpowered cards, but it's simply beyond my understanding how a group of people who ACTUALLY works on the game can not realise the potential of a card like Stealer of Souls. The moment I saw this card my thoughts were 'oh my god this will break the game with Plot Twist and Malganis.
I was at the very same spot as you were for a long time. I even tried to sell my acc once, but it came back to me haha
Thanks to the appearance of demon hunter, more rng-heavy cards, the stalling of wild meta and this new reward system, my disgust overcame my addiction and I just ended this chapter of my life. It's not an easy decision, but you will be surprised how much spare time you'll have when you can find and do a new hobby.
Or if you don't want to give up on card games, just try out something else. I started playing Gwent, but I barely play since 'I don't have time for games' right now.
Same. I've seen the Edwin nerf somewhere and just wanted to check the reactions. I simply don't understand why it is good for people to constantly blame a game and the developers, getting mad about it, yet they still play it everyday. I agree with the majority that blizzard's greed became unbearable and the game is pretty much a coin-flip simulator with extras. That is why I decided to quit after playing for almost 6 years. Nobody forces you to play something that makes you frustrated, it is that simple.
So did anyone see the first round of deck contest on Reddit? People literally trolled the shit out of it. There's only one contester on top with a full ogre deck and the rest of the decks are downvoted by everyone. I honestly don't know what did they expect when they launched this.
As a wild player, I would love to see an arena-like game mode where you can draft from your own collection, so players who have a larger (and nowadays mainly dead) collection could benefit from it and make use of their old cards, because like 70% of my collection has zero value and it is not so fair to oldschool players. Or the second option is to frequently rotate cards or sets just like in Arena, so we wouldn't have to face the same 3 decks for 4 months straight. That would shake things up and lead to a lot more creative meta. I mainly recommend this because you literally cannot have any fun even in Casual, because 8/10 you face a top tier netdeck.
Got to legend with Highlander Priest two days ago.
I agree that some of the great control decks like Warrior or Handlock are unplayable right now but saying that control is dead is just plain stupid. This game has seen far worse metas.
Fun for your opponent as well, sitting there watching you completing the quest on turn 6, then get killed by a triple turn by 0 mana giants. He can Dirty Rat one card, still gets killed by the rest, Unseen Saboteur for a free double turn for you, or Loatheb to delay the inevitable for one turn. This deck is the reason I stopped playing wild. But I guess it's not that powerful or haven't" crossed the line" yet if Papa Blizzard says so.

Now I am fully aware that every single day somebody is complaining about a card which is considered 'oVeRPOwEreD' by them...

Highlander mage is decent.
Rez Priest is annoying, but good.
