Big Spell Mage is all about stopping pressure from boardcentric decks like Zoo, Odd Paladin and Odd Rogue.
Best thing to do is play something that is sticky, Deathrattle Hunter or Token Druid for example. Control even typically has trouble with slower mages because Jaina is tough to outvalue.
From an unbiased perspective I give it a solid 4/10. Boring, Mediocre, Random and impossible to play around. Literally sparks zero excitement or incentive to play with or against.
But it's Blizzard so knowing that Ill give it a solid 7 out of 10, because trash card design is expected, but it's not nearly as bad as a lot of other cards they've designed.
I remember picking Priest because I play Healer or Medic in every game I play. I just love the concept of Healing.
So I made a lot of decks initially using basic minions, Healing stuff and Divine Spirit. Was a great time until I learned that their was an actual Meta and that Priest was Trash(This was like around Mid Range Shaman era). Nonetheless I've stuck with Priest exclusively, I don't even have any wins on certain classes.
From an aggro player here: Spreading Plague is NOT such a busted card. Please, please, PLEASE try and play properly and do the following:
- Turn 5: Trade as much as you can and go tall, curtail the board width. It's worth not using all your mana in order to make this happen.
- Turn 6#1: Use Mossy Horror
- Turn 6#2: Trade as much as you can to take down a few taunts, then use Void Ripper
- Turns 1-4: Smash harder.
If you can't handle aggro counters, don't play aggro. It's literally the ONLY challenge to that playstyle. Don't expect the game to be designed to make control and combo roll over for you.
Generally, if you HAVE to tech against a specific card it is overpowered. That has been true throughout the entire History of Hearthstone.
Raza+Anduin was strong so people played Mindbreaker, Jade Druid was broken so people played Skulking Geist.
People are not playing Mossy Horror and Blood Knight because they are good but because they are being forced to. A card that forces you to tech against it and restricts deckbuilding is above the average power level and therefore needs to be nerfed. Giggling Inventorand Spreading Plague are strong examples of that.
Sure, background noise COULD throw you off your game, but the only reason that would constitute a rematch is if he was the only one experiencing that issue. If they were both having the same issues then they were both playing in the same conditions, therefore neither had an advantage and he lost fair and square.
In any case, it's a stupid reason to rematch even if he was the only one experiencing it.
While Free To Play typically refers to someone who chooses not to spend money, Hearthstone being so expensive is an exception.
Mild spenders that have spent like 20-60$ are not too far off from a Free To Play player, because Hearthstone is extremely greedy with their Legendary Drop chances in packs.

I've got like 25 wins today for the 2 300G Quests on both my accounts.
Literally just pick Mage, Avoid playing against Mage(Instantly Concede) because the mirror takes forever.
Just play in a way to abuse your broken hero power and make a Water Elemental every turn if possible.

I dont see Artifact being anything more than a Niche

I don't really know what you are talking about lol.
If you lose to someone who DC'd and comes back you are just trash.

I only BM Aggro Players, unless they respectfully admit defeat without Conceding then I will lethal them respectfully.

Skill still matters a lot, just not as much as RNG.

Raza was arguably not even the strongest deck at the time. Jade Druid and Tempo Rogue were likely better. Remember that?

Ew, Aggro Paladin.
It's such a shame that Paladins have no choice but to play this braindead archetype because Blizzard is incompetent.
