posted a message on How much would you pay for Naxx?

I'm sure there are other threads made about this topic but I didn't notice any with a quick forum search. So I made this one.

I'm guessing that within the next day or so, there's going to be a fairly large influx of new information about Naxxramas. I'm basing this theory on the fact that every Thursday we've been teased with a new Naxxramas class card (and the ever popular leaked images on the front page) and with no more class cards to reveal, there's just neutral cards and general information left to reveal.

So, I suspect fairly soon we'll have our pricing revealed, amongst other info. As we all know, or should know, the first wing will be free and if memory serves, the final wing will also be free. Aside from that, how much do you expect Naxx to be and/or how much would you be willing to pay?

I personally will be unlocking Naxx with gold. As much as I hate to admit it, I would probably pay in gold whatever amount they decide to ask for. If they wanted 2500 gold per wing beyond the first, I would pay it. Now I highly doubt they'll be asking that much, but that being said, Blizzard does want to make money off of Naxx, so I do expect the gold pricing to be significant.

So, here's my guesses. 1,000 gold or $9.99 US (not sure about EU) per wing. The prices may seem a bit high but I can easily see many people (myself included) spending either of those amounts in real money or gold to unlock the various wings of Naxx. Hopefully we'll find out soon.

How much would you be willing to pay?

Alt+F4 fixes the issue but when you reconnect, your opponent's name will be labled as UNKNOWN. This really sucks because when you realize that some douchebag is trying to exploit this against you, you have to hit the Alt+F4 and reconnect asap or risk losing the game and the last thing going through your mind is generally, "oh man, let me write down this guy's name".

However, if you can remember, try and get the name of the exploiter and do this, taken directly from Rolkyr

If you see another player doing this, please send a report including their names to
    hacks@blizzard.com. Appreciate it.

I'd also recommend informing them of the time and date as they may be able to pull up logs as well, though I'm uncertain about that but more information couldn't hurt.

posted a message on The Black Knight, Bloodmage Thalnos, or Alexstrasza?

I believe Thalnos can have a huge impact on the game. He's also arguably the most universally useful legendary in the game as there are very few decks you can't just toss him in and get solid value.

While it's true that he doesn't have anything fancy going for him, what he brings to the table is undeniably very useful.

I doubt you'll be able to DE Naxx cards for dust. My guess is they'll function much like the base set. When you unlock a card, will give you 2 copies of them that can't be disenchanted. That's just my speculation.

Pathwerk's hero power auto kills a minion but I agree, mage will wreck him.

I'm curious that if we want to unlock the golden version of our class cards if we have to complete our class challenges in heroic mode. That sounds fun as hell!

I see myself having lots of fun with Naxxramas. A great alternative when I'm tired of playing against real players and want something new for a change of pace. Between the class challenges and heroic mode, this can keep me busy for a while. Even when I've beaten all the heroic modes, I can still see myself going back to play them just for fun.

posted a message on Sylvanas or Tirion?

Sylvanas is more universally useful since she can go in many more decks. However if you're wanting to play more paladin, Tirion is the better legendary.

I'd recommend Sylvanas personally with Naxx's focus on Deathrattles. Something to keep in mind.

I agree Nerubian Egg fits better with some classes than others.

Many of these seem largely underrated, and a few overrated.

Well, everyone's opinions will be different so I suspect most people will feel this way.

I did explain my reasonings behind Shade of Naxxramas but I"m very glad people disagree with it. I personally don't think it is that good a card but if people will be able to utilize it, awesome! I love being proved wrong, it makes me better as a player when I learn what people are capable of doing.

That being said, there are just way too many ways to get powerful minions on the board without the need for the ramp up. When a warlock can bring out an 8/8 on turn 4, a stealthed 3/3 that slowly gets bigger doesn't seem that impressive. Also Shade's potential is only good when you get him and play him early. If you didn't draw Shade until turn 5 he ends up being completely worthless and a waste. Just a bad Earthen Ring Farseer without the heal. Again though, just my opinion.

Though I do like to see people's viewpoints on Shade of Naxxramas. I really want to see this card in action because we can only go so far with theorycrafting. Some excellent points are being made though.

Overall, pretty good ratings. Although Shade of Naxxramas is a card I am really looking forward to personally. It definitely has the drawback of being slow, but for a control deck this card might end up being a consistent finisher. Since he is stealthed, it will be difficult to remove him if you can't do it immediately, and keep in mind that even though he loses stealth when he attacks, he will still continue to gain +1/1 each turn that he manages to survive, which means he will be a huge target for removal once he is in play. As a control Priest, this card makes me giggle with delight.

This is my main interest as well. I don't need Shade of Naxxramas to function as any kind of help during most of the game, I just need him to be a serious threat at the end. As long as I can keep their board clear, he's just going to become more terrifying. I also feel confident that I'll be able to play him on at least one turn where he won't really be much of a tempo loss.

So you're talking about using Innervate to bring a Shade out first turn I take it? Could be interesting.

As I said in my previous post, the Death's Bite topic is derailing the thread. I understand your point of view, I just disagree with it. The official Death's Bite thread has some interesting insight though about how the weapon will perform if you wanted to continue the debate. This was just my opinion on the matter and it's okay for us to have differing opinions. :)

I don't main control warrior but I've played with it and of course play against it regularly. There's many times both playing with and against a control warrior where their activations don't come into play until turn 5+. While generally what you say is true, not every draw in control will be perfect. You might not even have your Acolyte of Pains or Armorsmiths until after turn 5 and having more ways to proc them is always a good thing.

Also, much like the reason Baron Geddon is added into many control decks, having more ways to deal with aggro is also always a plus. I mean, you can't even play Baron Geddon until turn 7 yet he's still immensely useful.

But that's just control warrior. I have a feeling this card's going to find it's way into many other types of warrior decks. And I freely admit I could be mistaken and maybe this card isn't that good. It is just my opinion after all but as it is now, I think this card is absolutely incredible.

Edit: That being said, it feels like this conversation has derailed the thread as a whole. While it's interesting to debate back and forth on the matter, would probably be better to do so in a thread dedicated to Death's Bite. So, I'm going to have to follow HyppiCorpo's example and just leave it as a 'we'll agree to disagree'.
