Really? Seems that this card would be great in a mill deck… and since most non-mill decks aren’t going to want to run this card, seems like they’ll be stronger if anything,

If that's all you have to say on the topic then this is little more than a spam thread. Elaborate. What is not good enough, what should they have done instead, etc. etc.
"xD" is not going to lead to any productive discussion.

I see that some people want Mage to be more heavily targeted with this nerf. I think it might end up being Paladin. Paladin has a 57% winrates to mages 51.
Its nothing to do with WR. Mage vs Mage match ups skew that narrative.
DoL has a an almost 70% WR when kept on mulligan only 2nd to that dumb Paladin sword.

not each time since you get 150 gold per daliy... so its 45 some times... if you wanna fix it do arena

People need to realize its a new meta...and your net deck from last week is no good here.

if you honestly get so beat up about meta cards this quick it amazes me that you have not quit the game at this point.

thx for dust blizzard

I've bought the last 6 expansions but you're wrong I'm afraid. Without F2P I can't imagine how small the player base would be and the game would pretty much die. To be healthy the game needs a balance of both F2P and people putting money in. Blizzard might not benefit financially directly from F2P but if paying customers are waiting 5 minutes+ for a game they'll soon stop paying and playing. Unless you want HS to go the way of Artifact?

How dare you disagree with the angry mob.

Word to the wise, you have to save them until the actual expansion release, not the early access pack opening the weekend before.
I still got a legendary from my Hunter pack, but I did not get any DMF cards, only the older sets when I opened mine this weekend.

After the major sexual harassment scandal, this news comes as a surprise to nobody.

I think people forget that with fireside gatherings, not only can you open preorder packs early, you can actually play against other people with the cards you open. All you need is..
1: A preorder if the expansion.
2: Friends that play hearthstone.
It's still restrictive but literally everyone has had the opportunity to play with the new cards, not just streamers.

Congratulations! That makes you part of the 'Exclusive Club' called Anybody.

If every paladin archetype in standard doesn't continue to run 2 copies of this card, I'll eat my shoes.
You are undervaluing the power of the average random 1 drop. So many can be generated from other classes that are infinitely better than anything paladins can run normally in their deck.
These paladin nerfs are pretty damn tame considering the overall paladin dominance since rotation and IMO still don't address the class's core problems. Any paladin nerf is welcome to be sure but Blizzard is fooling themselves if they think these particular changes will have any meaningful impact on bringing the power of paladins down to more closely match that of other classes. But, they even say as much in their explanation post, so expect another round of paladin nerfs after another 6-8 weeks or so.

Well, can't say I'm impressed with this initial reveal. There is nothing here (yet) that will shake up the meta. At least in standard.
I'm not sold on the dungeoneers. They aren't terrible but they're a bit slow and unless you cater your deck specifically to always draw the right type of spell, they're, they're unreliable with it's upside. That being said, card draw has always been useful, so card draw with a potential upside might make the cut.
Mutanus on the other hand I just don't see getting play. The meta is far too fast, the card too slow and the effect too unreliable. In a slower meta, this card could be amazing but that's not the case in today's meta. On top of that, it muddies up an already shit 7 drop pool with another crap minion, while the 5 drop pool keeps getting stronger for cards like Jandice and alexis blast. If this was a 5 mana 2/2 or 3/3, it'd be about perfect.

A couple of ideas.
1: After your opponent casts a spell, cast a random spell of the same cost.
This nerf doesn't counter the initial spell as it still resolves but still has the thematic Yogg randomness.
2: When your opponent casts a spell, return it to their hand. Then cast a random one if the same cost.
Think of it like 'sap' for spells, only with a wacky, random side effect.
3: When your opponent casts a spell, they discover a spell of the same cost to cast instead.
This nerf gives the caster a bit of control over what the new spell will be. The choices are still random and the targets randomly chosen, allowing the spell to hold true to the Yogg theme.
Just a few ideas on how to nerf it.

Honestly, I'm more concerned about the people that claim they've never thrown something out of anger or frustration. I've punched a wall before due to frustration. Hell, when I was in Highschool, my music teacher punched a chalkboard due to frustration and it's not like he was an unbalanced or unstable person. He was just frustrated. It happens and it's human. But these people that claim it's something more serious than it clearly is, perhaps they should be the ones to contact a shrink. Seriously, it's just not normal to go through your entire life with nothing ever aggravating you to that point. It honestly sounds like those people might be emotionally suppressed due to any number of reasons.
Now don't get me wrong, there are healthier ways to vent your frustration than breaking your television. But come on people, trying to suggest this guy is unstable or something is fucking stupid. He was frustrated, he threw something vent his frustration and accidentally broke his TV. It was an accident. It happens. Jesus Christ, it's not some hidden deep mental issue at work here (well, I mean, I don't know the guy but based solely off the information we have). These people claiming otherwise must have lived the most sheltered lives imaginable.

On paper, the theory sounds solid. Deck A beats Deck B but loses to Deck C. Right now, I believe Rush Warrior is currently the best deck being played that has the most favorable matchups. However, Rush Warrior dies horribly to Control Priest, which is currently one of the least played decks. I have yet to lose a single game to Rush Warrior when playing my custom made Control Priest. When I queue into a Rush Warrior, I essentially get to enjoy a free win. But, my Control Priest dies horribly to Tickatus Warlock. Out of 10+ games vs Warlock, I've won maybe twice playing my Control Priest. And Tickatus Lock isn't exactly a great deck in the current meta by any stretch because it has more unfavorable matchups than most decks. IE: Tickatus Warlock dies horribly to DH or Face Hunter. DH/Face Hunter dies to Rush Warrior. I mean, it seems like it should be a fairly well balanced meta where most classes are being represented with a respectable deck or two with both favorable and unfavorable matchups. So, why does this meta feel so shitty right now?? Well, I have a theory.
Each deck's weakness is WAY too effective against it. If you are playing a Rush Warrior and you queue into a Control Priest, the game is all but decided before the game even begins. Based on my experience, you're almost guaranteed to lose. If I'm playing my Control Priest and queue into a Warlock, that warlock essentially gets to enjoy it's free win vs me as I just can't deal with Tickatus/Jaraxxus. The matchups are so one-sided that they're incredibly un-fun and arguably not even worth playing.
The whole Rock Paper Scissors thing needs to be toned down so the underdog at least has a reasonable shot at beating the favored deck. I think this is where Blizzard really dropped the ball this rotation/expansion and I'll be the first to admit that I don't have a good solution to this problem. I suspect that it may simply be a symptom of the extremely limited card pool and hopefully come the next expansion, the problem will resolve itself. But, it's such a crap feeling when you queue in to an opponent who is so favored against your deck that you might quite literally be better off conceding before Turn 1 to save time in an attempt to queue into a more favored match up. Never in my time playing Hearthstone have I felt that I just simply had 0 chance at winning in certain matchups before even the mulligan. Even when I was unfavored, I always felt that I had a chance to win. But now, depending on what deck I queue up against, there's a chance I'll just get a free win or an all but guaranteed loss, and that makes for a really crappy card game. Just my 2 cents.

Confirmed. I just checked and sure enough, the full dust refund has gone live.
