posted a message on New Neutral Epic Card Revealed - Razorscale

I think this is less a combo breaker and more a card you play turn 3 against outcast dh or miracle or something. It just mucks up their turn and forces their removal. Ends up a nice tempo boost. Maybe not outcast since it dies very cleanly to glaivetar.

If the combo deck seriously can't spare the mana or the cards to kill this it's fine. Buys a turn. Depending on what resources it forces it might be a bit better. Some decks could buff it out of removal range too.

Idk man. I just don't trust cards like this. You know, if a deck is weak to Robes of Protection it basically softlocks the game for them. We've had metas with multiple decks like that and the card was still bad.

posted a message on New Neutral Legendary Card Revealed - Ignis the Eternal Flame

The fact that you need to draw a forge card to use this may be worse than people think. Depending on what they give us this guy might be dead in your hand half the game or force a lot of bad cards in your deck.

Now that doesn't mean I think the card's bad. I think we might all have 6ish forge cards in our decks and one player's gonna have this guy active on curve and he's just going to win. Let me just whip out my 5 mana horn that DRAWS 8 CARDS. Or maybe it'll summon 16 mana worth of stats. This card terrifies me. I'm actually very worried.

posted a message on New Warlock Legendary Card Revealed - Sargeras, the Destroyer

To be perfectly fair, Blizzard does treat the demon tag like this for DH cards. Vengeful Walloper is merely a blood elf demon hunter and counts as a demon, but night elf demon hunter Caria Felsoul doesn't. Same wings and horns, different tags somehow. This isn't the only example. It's just whether Blizzard wants them hit by Felosophy or Sigil of Summoning or whatever.

I think thematically Sargeras should 100% be a demon. I mean, the Eredar are. The original Illidan card was. I don't think there was any inconsistency about this until ashes of outland dropped.

Appropriately insane and there's no better time to throw warlock a bone. I love this.

posted a message on New Shaman Legendary Card Revealed - Golganneth, the Thunderer

This one isn't priest or dh tier but it looks really good. If your deck doesn't run a solid number of overload cards it goes from auto include to just on the fence. Totem probably wouldn't run it. But otherwise this thing is stacked. It's versatile. It's well statted. It's a must remove. Great

posted a message on New Paladin Legendary Card Revealed - Amitus the Peacekeeper

Lot of people weirded out by the 1 attack when she makes people 2/2s. Pretty sure that's the "peacekeeper" flavor. She don't wanna hurt nobody. Other people thinking a titan shouldn't have taunt, but a taunt that requires 4 hits to kill is a really good wall. It makes her a strong defensive card even if you no board, and even if you don't pick the debuff.

I think this is good. If you're behind she makes it very hard to die for a turn while setting up a big tempo swing with the draw effect. If you're ahead your board hits harder and gets insanely obnoxious to remove. I'm envisioning this board of 2 or 3 health minions that just got +2/+2 and take minimum 2-3 hits to kill, or they need to dump 4 hits into the 1/8 first. Nothing deals with that. It's like Jailer. Just whirlpool or bust.

posted a message on New Warrior Legendary Card Revealed - Khaz'goroth

I can see a lot of situations where this card is super awkward. You want the health so it can live, but then it can't kill lightrays, things from below, a crab, an azshara. Paladins, hunters and rogues have a lot of little goons so the random attacking sucks. The +attack version gets farmed by hydralodon, leviathan, and crab.

It's a pretty bad recipient of hand buffs because you'd rather they hit something that can actually threaten face damage.

I don't think this is a bad card per se but it feels like the 30th card in your deck. You put in all the core cards and all the class staples and you have a little space left, so you throw this guy in. Not horrible. Not very good.

posted a message on Twist battle ready decks disappointing

F2P player looking for a good deal. The decks for new and returning players were insanely good, featuring nearly all the cards you need for that class in standard plus staple neutral legendaries. The allegedly "battle-ready" twist decks are not that.

The outcast deck does not contain Glaivetar, subbing in Magnifying Glaive for some reason. It runs Metamorfin for some reason over a card like Line Hopper or Illidari Studies.

The questline Druid contains Jerry Rig Carpenter but 0 choose one cards. I keep looking over the list to make sure I'm not having a hallucination or something but there's actually 0 choose one cards. It also runs Topior the Shrubbagazzor with only two nature spells in the entire deck.

The spell mage does not contain Apexis Blast or Refreshing Spring Water.

You get the point. Maybe some of them are a good in terms of the amount of dust/good cards you get for the price, but the decks themselves are incoherent. As a f2p player playing on an account I made a couple months ago I was hoping for something I could just buy and jam. Sucks to suck, I guess.

It's just a jailer card I guess. Demon seed warlock might've run it at some point. You could also put it in ETC.

There's gotta be something funny with Tamsin Roame in wild. In standard there's plenty of good targets in chad warlock. You could use it on Aegwynn.

posted a message on New Priest-Druid Common Card Revealed - Funnel Cake

This is an absurd card. Horn of Winter is bonkers on its own. In overheal priest this is a horn that summons 3 drops and draws cards, then gives you more mana to play more healing cards and do more of that. If you just want +2 mana, targeting the opponent's board works fine. This is the best card in overheal priest. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes it into other druid and priest decks.

Not a shadow spell for shadow priest though.

posted a message on New Mage Rare Card Revealed - Remixed Dispense-o-bot

The frost spell pool is extremely stacked. I'm not sure if Frostwyrm's Fury is in the pool since the deathknight discover change, but Horn of Winter, Solid Alibi, Deathborne, Cold Case, and just all the frost dk cards in general are great pulls.

I like the idea of coins. Gets you an early Deathborne or something. I think this is the second best one and I'd be happy to play it.

Secrets are pretty bad. Getting objection in Grand Magister Rommath pool sounds good.

If Seafloor Gateway's already in your deck then mechs are good but otherwise not great.

posted a message on New Death Knight Rare Card Revealed - Dead Air

You could have some explosive openers with eggs, Horn of Winter, Death Growl, and this. I just don't have a lot of faith in multicolor dk though. This card is Feign Death with a few upsides. It just doesn't seem that good compared to the three rune cards
