posted a message on New Rogue Epic Card Revealed - Malevolent Strike

If we needed another confirmation this is more a wild - either Gang Up, Lab Recruiter, and Fal'dorei Strider combined with new legendary is way better than anything standard offers right now.

posted a message on Embiggen should be 1 mana

If Embiggen has fallen out of flavor in standard, then why should anyone care they nerf it for wild?

Druid is a 100% highroll class, so if no Embiggen, that aggro shyte deck is almost worthless. But, Scrap Imp says hi ref mulligan WR.

Definitely, and gonna try hl dh with this in standard too.

We had aggro in AoO, tempo in SA, time for mad(ness) control DH... at the Darkmoore Faire.

If you need it vs DH, vs hunter or vs other aggro, don't play pure pally, there's no reason you lose to either archetype already (over 50%, obv)

This is an added card, not a build around to deny something you don't beat, so already not 10/10.

Helps vs bad matchups? Not really, because neither shaman, mage, nor rogue give a crap over another minion, and priest would thank yiu for this.

So, yay, a card vs warrior. Ok, ok, vs warlock too.

    Quote from MatyL112 >>

Naga will miss onl two. You will play this kill one, play naga, kill 6 other ones and then summon only 6

Agreed, but that's only at 10 mana, and on t7 you usually want to cast this, sic them all into enemy's board, and raise new 7. Unless this goes into a control or HL, you ain't playing this for Naga, you play it as removal. In which case cycle of hatred is potentially much better.

    Quote from sahtradoog >>

so you think that it is justified that they make it epic because it is strong?

basically because it is a card that is good it needs to cost more dust to make the game more expensive..

Yes, because if the other option is making epics that cost 10x dust of a common at around same strength, then why have a rarity system to begin with? Also, you ignore the rest of what I wrote how hunter benefits from in multiple levels.

Con - Works only on an empty board, so no naga combo, at least not for the first 8. Not much of a con, really.

Pro - this is Potentially 14 minion damage divided as you freaking Want between minions. Now that's a bulldozer class.

Vs hunter's - one mana more, better only on empty board, no quest shenanigans, so it's balanced, but obviously stronger and therefore the epic vs common.

posted a message on So, what do you think about Duels?

Fun, different, deckbuilding skill oriented, and progressive at that.

Wears out real fast though due the difference in heroes, and more so in minion/spell treasures is too polarized, it's like BG one on one with Queen Togwaggle vs Jandice sometimes. If they get to balancing it as much as they do BGs, we should have a great long-term one. If they keep yogg'ing though, it ain't gonna live long.

posted a message on Blizzard already ruined Duels

You have 15 "HL" slots, not really a big challenge needed to figure it out right now. Also, all further cards are given by the game mode, and that awards the better deckbuilders.

DH is as straight forward as it gets, mage and shaman need nothing wild, and I didn't play the rest, but warlock can use the imp, hunter has a few good cards there, but all that barely matters, because your 15+1 cards become, even with 0 wins and 2 losses, a 15+7 cards and a treasure. Pick carefully, and you'd be rewarded.

Obviously, there Are some cards which are powerhouses and/or staples in top tier wild decks, but cards crying about wild while crafting one or two good commons cost 40/80 dust is pretty dumb if you wanna play a fun mode, and there are enough of those like Mad Scientist, Voidcaller, Kindly Grandmother, Medivh's Valet, Swashburglar, Malchezaar's Imp, Violet Illusionist, and I probably forget some others. Such cards would serve you long term.

The only salt that might be justified is that Blizz gave us a new mode, early access only to pre-purchasers, and for the initial experience don't open up the card sets to all when there are anyway no prizes for X wins anyway, and MMR resets monthly all the same. I've been saying it over brawls for months, this one ain't so different in that regard, Especially when you introduce a new game mode.

posted a message on Your Deck Suggestions

Any aggro beats bomb warrior, brutal tempo decks like soul DH, weapon rogue, and enrage warrior, and also any control priest (not the dumb dragon version).

We all hate bomb warrior, where all is anyone not playing that deck, that even makes rez priest only 2nd least unfun deck to play against.

I can confirm this works - finished a game of each of the 4 adventures (normal/story), had an open arena I forgot about and played 1 game, then a BG game, and I got the golden foxes.

Maybe it should be in a single log-in, I dunno.

posted a message on What are your thoughts on the 'soul fragments' mechanic?

I love this mechanic, it fits its classes perfectly, not op by any means, but those enabled by the mechabic, that's a different story.

I repeat myself from before SA in offering a neutral tech card we need - 3, 3/3(?), choose a player, remove 1-2 cards from that player's deck that didn't start there. Handles albatross, bombs, fragments, primes, portals, and some rogue stuff. So it's a "choose one", so what? We have a neutral weapon, time to open the creative envelope.

P.S. Void drinker being unplayed proves one thing - Earth Elemental's overload is beyond ridiculous.

Since I haven't played wild much so far - how does Veilweaver "act"? You have literally the Whole library at random here, isn't the variance 'too high' to be effective?
