For me it’s been about 50/50. But I play a lot of weird homebrew decks and so often get questions. I also issue friend requests to randoms when I have the 80 gold quest because pay it forward, ya know?
Raza is rotating out in @april 2018 so why bother nerfing?
Wild is still a thing and it's still fairly active.
Yeah. And note that Razakus Priest isn’t the end all be all there. There are lots of other overpowered combos in wild so it doesn’t have as big of an impact. Also, The deck doesn’t even have an oppressive win rate in Standard. Big Priest does better.
My favorite deck to play is corpsetaker/handbuff paladin. I also like dude synergy paladin. These feel like they fit the military bent of some paladins. Martialing the forces, leading them to noble goals! Anything that works in those directions I can get behind. I don't care if its the most competitive (in fact the hipster in me prefers if it isn't), I just want it to be fun! Otherwise, heavy control healdin has always felt paladin-y. I agree that murloc paladin just feels wrong.
This is just mass Recycle, people are shitting their pants for no reason. Play around it and it's a shit card. You're a tempo deck? Sad for you, try something else
The fact that it is a “mass” spell for only 1 mana more is the key. Consider that Assassinate isn’t played but Twisting Nether is and is a really strong card.
This effectively gives priest a cheaper twisting nether with the small downside of hurting fatigue matches and the possible upside/downside of weakening/strengthening your opponent’s future draws depending on the board state, making it a card that requires some forethought/skill to use at the right time. It’s a powerful and interesting design.
Quests were definitely a failure as a turn 1 tempo loss can be punished too easily. I wouldn't call DKs a failure, they are all endgame cards that you can build a deck toward. It is easier to play and have fun with all of them than the quests and I see all of them fairly regularly (except perhaps Warrior lately).
They may seem like they don't see play as much because you aren't guaranteed to draw them unlike quests.
Pretty bad card, pass your turn 3...and 3 did anybody ever play 3 priest spells on turn 4?! This is way to slow and the value it generates is hardly wortth the effort, priest spells are situational and just spamming them out for a 5/5 seems not a good idea.
This is why this card isn't a curve stone card. Seems to be a card you set up right before your Lyra/Miracle turn later in the game. May not be a great card, but I think we should be careful not to assume we are playing it at the worst possible time when evaluating.
Definitively not: Bonemare is a 7 mana 9/9, this might be better but often much worse. It does NOT say: summon a minion with (4); you might also summon a minion with much lower cost. In the best it's a 1 mana 2/4, but much more random.
Bonemare is only so good because it's reliable, this isn't.
The best is better than a 1 mana 2/4. It is a 1 mana 2/4 if it summons a vanilla 4 mana card (or a 4 mana card with reasonable stats/effect). If you use it to summon a 3 or 4 mana card that has a battlecry with a downside like Injured Blademaster or Pit Lord you are effectively getting more than 4 mana worth of value for the summoned card, thus making the 2/4 recruiter essentially 0.
That being said, I agree that it is no bonemare. To get the maximum value off this, you have to build your deck around it or risk pulling a bad target from your deck. Bonemare can plug and play in most decks and is just absurd value all around.

Ice block you have to time. Pretty cool.

If I have learned one thing in my years if playing this game: never underestimate the power of cards that provide a mana discount

Remember the days of "Priest? LoL" and Hunter being good (aka "cancer")?

Ramp Jade Druid without the Fandral package could run an all upside use of this card.

Step 1: Use priest cards to copy your opponents cards/deck (thoughsteal, benedictus, etc)
Step 2: give them back?

I hope there is more dude support. It’s alwasy a fun deck to play.

I would love to see Illuminator brought back in (and maybe rotate Ice Block out). That little healer made secret mage fun before it was any good.
