ramp: the amount of ramp cards currently have not been changed, but thank to cards such as ultimate infestation you can now afford to play a lot more of them and in the example of nourish, be able to use the ramp option more frequently. the ramp cards are as following, innervate wild growth jade blossom and nourish - ramp cards by themselves are dead cards, cards with no impact and therefor needs a good amount of value in order to be justified to put into a deck, especially if you play all of them with all these current forms of ramp options you can ramp for a total of 8 mana, if you re fast enough.
Ramp is the issue. And you have severely underestimated its power. Other classes can do value and draw (look at Warlock for example and/or Shaman for draw/value and jade/value). Geist has shown that it's not an issue of the neverending jades from Druid is value.
Ramp is what makes early infestation or turn 1 fledgling possible. These are powerful cards, but it's the ability to get them out before your opponent has equally powerful cards is the whole issue.
No. The single largest factor in climbing the ladder is time. Second is knowledge of the game. Third is card pool (which can be achieved by paying or investing a lot of time). I think this has been repeatedly proved by streamers who run F2P accounts to legend (Disguised Toast did one recently, Trump had done some multiple times in the past). If you know the game well (all the cards, popular decks to play around) and have the time to invest (so as to minimize the impact of variance/rng over a large sample size) then you can have a consistently high win rate without paying.
I do feel the game is pay to have fun some of the time though, because it's hard to mess around with a lot of the fun legendary cards if you don't play a lot and don't have tons of hours to sink into the game without paying for packs and getting dust to craft what you want.
I wouldn't go so far as to talk about a "meta" in the first few days of an expansion.^^
Agreed. I am seeing less of any sort of consistent meta so much as a hurricane of random experimentation. In part because nothing as dominant as quest Rogue in the first few days of Ungoro meta has arisen to warp the meta around it.
This is a very fun deck. What are your thoughts on adding a Circle of Healing to go for the classic cleric+circle combo? I have found in many matches that I have multiple injured minions on board and I am running out of cards in hand.
I have been messing around with a similar deck and it is lots of fun. Mine is a little more on the low end side lacking the big taunts and having tortolan instead of shieldmaster. Stacking up the end of turn effects is fun and powerful! Could use some tweaking.
I never have the time to make the climb to legend. I typically end up around rank 10 each season. I keep myself motivated by playing decks that I find fun, like elemental handbuff paladin. It's not a good deck and I don't win much, but I enjoy the play style. For some people winning is the most fun, in which case find a good meta deck and have at it. It's all about knowing how you can get the most enjoyment out of the game and then not letting other people's expectations and judgment get you down.
Mean streets of gadgetzan - When the deck first became good. Un'Goro - Second expansion Knights of the frozen throne - Third expansion
Deck has gotten weaker in every single expansion single msog. What is the fourth one anyway?
Pirate warrior existed in WotOG. It wasn't great, it was like tier 3, but it definitely existed. I played a lot of it at the time because it was cheap to make and I couldn't afford the dust for much else.
Pirate warrior has existed since beta. It was one of the first decks I tried. Every time a new weapon or pirate was introduced (pretty much every expansion/adventure) people tried it again. WotOG it was on the cusp of being ok, largely thanks to Bloodsail Cultist but it really didn't become common in the meta until MSG with Patches the Pirate
While Raza makes him insane, he is still strong as a late game card in a more typical control priest deck that wants to run 2 ofs (like Miracle Lyra, Quest, or even Cthun)
From my preorder alone, I only got 2: Arfus and Anduin. Between gold and free packs I opened another 30 and only got Archbishop. Then did the prologue and go Gul'Dangerous
It resumpns the "this minion" in the deathrattle effect refers to the minion that you gave the deathrattle to with Corpse Raiser battlecry. It's just like Ancestral Spirit but as a targetable battlecry rather than as a spell. It should have resummined the miner on you targeted and traded off.
Also doesn't the viewing number include people watching past videos when they are offline? They just did Omnistone on his stream today so people may have been watching that

Really wishing this didn't have the "survives" condition so you could combo it with Exploding Bloatbat
