Do you think Prince Keleseth is still really necessary in this deck?

I don't feel like he ever really puts me over the top and dropping him opens up a lot more possibilities. Crackling Razormaw, Scavenging Hyena (would pair really well with a bunch of Lynx's), Secrets maybe; as just a few examples.

Umm, my version which is not far off from this, handles aggro decks very well unless your opening hand and first few draws are nothing but the 5+ mana cards...

I would actually describe the deck in general as an aggro one to start, that morphs into a control deck.

So I don't think your strategy with it (if you actually play it) is correct....

I'm curious how many people have really experimented with Quest Hunter decks?

The "not enough card draw" excuse is always thrown out multiple times. You don't need card draw for the quest, you have the tools to create and pull cards to complete it and keep plenty of options in your hand at the same time. I am never lacking cards in my hand in the deck I use and depending on how you do end up drawing from your starting deck it can even turn into a control deck. I see this card and a few others in the Rumble set that are going to put it over the top because they're exactly what I've been wishing I had as better tools. I know I'm gonna have a lot of fun for the next few months...

I like your thought to drop a Tracking. That would be my first card to go in favor of something else at this point I think.

I've found myself not needing Cult Master to fill my hand which is why I dropped one of him, though like you said it can be a good swing in the right situation.

The remaining Dire Mole I'm coming around on dropping as well.

My favorite part of this deck is the combo's with Toxmonger. So much so I might drop something in favor of a 2nd one eventually.

I love how this deck plays and have gotten some machine gun raptor scenarios to finish game's off a few times now, which is much more often than ever happened in any Hunter quest deck I tried before (which was never).

The Tar Creeper's are also it's most important card, IMO. So much so I culled one Cult Master from your list for a Stonehill Defender. Taunt is your biggest friend to unleash the combo's that make this deck go. Also found out very early that Swamp Leech was the best target for the Dire Frenzy's, fun to see you got there too.

I've also kept 1 Dire Mole in for the beast synergy instead of 2 Fire Fly's. Good stuff and I appreciate all the effort you put into this guide!

What kind of Mage decks are you seeing in ranked play?! Isn't one of the top rated decks Control Mage? I would think this card fits in extremely well there.

The point of that deck is to slow down the game so much you can drop guys like this for the win.

I thought using Hemet would work in theory, but nobody is playing a control type Hunter now which it would require - Mid-range and the Aggro-Beast you can run are too good. Literally half of players on the ladder are playing Hunter, and none of them is running the quest. I've seen them played on every other class except Hunter and Druid.

First experiences with playing: can consistently get it completed by Turn 8 (mid-range version of deck). However, then one of two things has happened:

    1. I'm so far ahead already it doesn't matter. Or

    2. I'm Top decking and so far behind it won't make the difference.

My experiences facing the other quests has taught me that Rogue is the OP one you need to worry about.

Terrible. A class with no card draw, no catchup mechanics, and no board interactivity outside of minions -- is forced to play a deck with way too many 1 drops, to get rewarded by diluting your deck with more 1 drops after turn 5 -- which is when you want to be drawing strong powerful minions.

The design needed to activate the quest and the reward are incongruent. Especially for Hunter.

To everyone making this type of argument, that once you get the quest completed you'll have a bunch of cards in your deck that are worthless, or all the low cost cards will run you out of steam:
That's the deck I'm building. Push for the quest and once you get it drop Hemet and get rid of all those cards you included to fulfill it.
All of the sudden you've got nothing but your Tundra Rhino's, King Crush, Ram Wrangler, Starving Buzzard, Cult Master, Swamp King Dred, Houndmasters, Tol'vir Warden's, Volcanosaur (whatever you like to play) etc... left in your deck, and then playing Queen Carnassa fills it back up with a super high probability of drawing nothing but those raptors to swarm the board. I see a lot of Turn 8 Tundra Rhino -> Raptor, Raptor, Raptor bringing too much pain to recover from fast enough to keep up with what you'll have left in your deck. I also think all those 1-cost minions can keep up with aggro for long enough if you choose the right combinations.
I'll definitely be putting Hunter in my class rotation this expansion.
