Keep him till the next expansion is out so you know what to craft. Use him in the meantime as a finisher.

    Quote from MalakyEx >>
Most decks have chosen the aggro route because HS is a fast-paced game with health capped at 30. Let's not go throwing bullshit now as if BGH was the source of all world problems, especially considering that before GvG it barely saw much play.
Baron Geddon doesn't see much play because it's a 7mana 5health minion that damages your board and character. Once again I'm really questioning whether you played this game for more than a month.
I almost never play aggro because it's boring even though it's really strong. I only tolerate BGH because Boom is so broken OP that if my opponent doesn't have or draw BGH, I often win. If he has BGH, my boom bots alone make short work of two of his minions anyway. Both cards are broken, Boom is being rotated out, BGH is evergreen so he needs a nerf.
    Quote from Frostraven >>

    Yes.
Big minions are balanced, because you sacrifice tempo.

That disadvantage is real, even before you bring up the question of removal.

I love to break this to you, so...
Currently, it's not the people who want BGH nerfed that don't use their brains in deck creation.

I want to play Prophet Velen in my Priest deck, without a neutral minion mindlessly played in 115% of the decks instantly ending the game.

Why can't a Rogue play Assassinate if they're afraid of big drops?
Why can't a Mage play an extra polymorph -- which still leaves a sour taste in your mouth when it one hit kills a legendary WoW character as if it was nothing?

I know it's a card game, and that "this is how Magic the Gathering handles big threats" -- but... akin to marrying your own sister...
I never thought this approach was a very good idea, when compared to... well...
the games the cards games are based on.

Why is it so damn wrong to have a high cost card require a player to invest two lower cost cards to deal with it -- if they weren't smart enough to include high cost cards or win before the high cost threats slowly start to take back the tempo advantage?

Yup, minions costing over 5 mana are useless vs aggro. They are only run because the meta isn't 100% aggro, thank god. Velen might as well be an arcane golem unless you run him turn 9 with a mind blast as a pyroblast combo. You frankly are better off running Malygos where he's likely to survive a turn then you can finish him off with spells. BGH>polymorph>assassinate>siphorn soul. Most class removal is weaker than BGH.
    Quote from MalakyEx >>

Because health is capped at 30 and all it takes the opposing player to win are 1-2 hits to face with his big minion. The game needs fast, immediate answers that don't totally suck to big drops, hence why BGH is fine as it is (neutral and available to anyone) and doesn't really need change.

I also question this bullshit of "neutral minion mindlessly played in 115% of the decks instantly ending the game". BGH instantly ends games? Since when?

Big minions are useless vs. aggro which is a big part of the meta. With BGH, they are also useless vs control. 6 attack minions are big enough to kill you fast, especially when I have 2 or 3 other minions on the board as well all going face.

I'm still laughing. When are you gonna get off the whole Prophet Velen and Malorne argument? Nerfing BGH won't make them more playable. This is a troll. As others have stated BGH is primarily a counter to Dr. Boom. The card you mentioned are too slow and would likely get removed by anything before they can be effective. BGH is not the problem in your case.
BGH is a counter to any and all 7+ attack minions. Boom is so broken OP that he's viable despite BGH. If Blizzard does not create Boom 2.0, there won't be any point running any minion over 6 attack in your deck.

posted a message on Would Bz nerf the good classical neutral cards as Azure Drakes in this patch?
    Quote from wictor1992 >>

Why the hell should they nerf Azure Drake? By this logic Blizzard needs to nerf every single playable card, only because there are Hemets and Acidmaws out there.

Somehow it seems that a lot of people expect Blizzard to rebalance the whole set with the next patch. Don't be disappointed when they end up nerfing 3-5 cards at most, because that's what will happen due to their nerfing attitude.

They are gonna nerf around a dozen cards, they already said it's their biggest balance patch in history. I say azure drake is fine, a 4/4 for 5 mana is a huge tempo loss even if it cycles. I don't run it in any of my decks.

BGH defenders, just like all the others defending OP cards are illogical. Their excuses have been debunked. Blizzard is nerfing handlock, meaning this is a strong hint they are nerfing BGH and therefore, the giants are being nerfed too. Also every class but Druid and Lock have good, cheap removal and this may change in the upcoming expansion. BGH defenders even contradict themselves by saying stuff like "BGH is fine, just don't play anything over 6 attack" Guess what, if BGH doesn't get nerfed, I will have to take their advice :(

posted a message on Possible Nerf for Leper Gnome?

While leper isn't on my nerf list, I am fine with Blizzard wanting to slow the meta which currently is 85% aggro. Abusive sergeant is more OP however and I suggested he be nerfed to +1 attack.

posted a message on Please don't nerf Doomhammer!!

Doomhammer isn't on my nerf list, but I still won't be surprised if Blizzard nerfs mostly burst damage cards to slow the meta down. They are probably nerfing roar and they are looking at charge minions and high damage spells like fireball.

I hope we get more anti aggro cards in the upcoming expansion. Reno alone wasn't enough to slow the meta much. We are losing sludge and healbot :(

posted a message on Blizzard may nerf 20-30+ cards! Here's my list of what I think shall be nerfed!
    Quote from Morv >>

    26. Bluegill Warrior to be 2/3

    that's quite the nerf

Of course he loses charge so OTK becomes much more rare and that silly Murloc Pally will become balanced.
    Quote from Elka >>

They said It will be less than 20 but more than 2 if I'm not mistaken.

They could always change their mind, I found over 30 cards that need a nerf :) Also they said biggest nerf in history so this must mean a large number :)
