Ok, so I just drafted a deck in Arena. Rn it looks VERY good to me (althoughI suck at Arena... I'll probably be saying this a lot). After drafting it the only flaws I could see were that theres more card generating than card draw, and early game isn't as great as I hear it should be.
Heres the draft:
Here is the part where I say again that I usually suck at Arena, with my average being 3-4 wins. What advice do you guys have going into a game with this? Elemental synergy is strong, especially with the doublePyros, and with Cabalist's Tome and Shimmering Tempest, I should never run out of cards. Please help!
First against a Warrior - Their deck sisn't seem that good early game, but a combination of taunts and strong deathrattles made it challenging for a while. Still outplayed in the end. They tried to remove as much as possible, but a 10/6 Red Mana Wyrm and a 10/10 Pyros with another 10/10 in hand was simply too much for them to handle. This was also the only game I drew Blazecaller.
1-0
2nd Game a Rogue - Here is where I started running into some problems. They had the tempo to boot, managing to kill everything I dropped as soon as I played it. I tried to keep up, but the fact that I never drew any kind of board clear or spell generation, and that they finished their job with a shadowstep Swashburglar into Vilespine Slayer, the game was over for me. It also didn't help that after mulligan I got stuck with Pyroblast and Red Mana Wyrm.
1-1
3rd game was against another Warrior - I was winning! Things were looking great! Nice full hand with a ton of options, upper hand on the board. Then the game decides to crash on me with the new game closing bug that makes "Hearthstone.exe not respond" and I couldn't reconnect. Am I triggered? Yeah, kinda.
1-2
4th game was against a Warlock - I knew everything was at stake. I double-triple checked numbers before playing, weighed, assessed, you name it. Fact of the matter was his game was far too strong and fast, and he was able to create a board. As a result of fighting it I was down to around 3 cards about T6. No spell generators except Shimmering Tempest the entire game. T6-7 I drew both Pyros, which while detrimental, still put up a good fight, as I was able to play both 6/6's to stall a bit longer until I got my bearings. Ofc he had too much burst. Not even Mirror Image wall + Polymorph + Shattered Sun Cleric could save me... they ended up using Soulfire, followed up with a Doomguard.
1-3
In all, Jaina has Pyroblasted me into Timbuktu, and the streak of me getting rekt in Arena goes on. I can say from playing this 2 major issues with this deck is the cost of getting what you need. In these games most of the time, if I needed something in a pinch, I'd have to either wait for a deathrattle, or find time to play a Cabalist's Tome, both which are slow. Also, my dedicated board clear seems to be too few. I only drew Cone of Cold and Volcanic Potion once, and that was the last game. During draft, thosee 4 AoEs were the only ones available.
As for Vicious Fledgling, I understand the potential it has. Against the first warrior I managed to snag windfury, but no stealth, and it got Silenced by Spellbreaker the following turn. The other 2 games I also had it after mulligan, but Rogue prevented me from ever getting to play it by coining Tar Creeper followed by insane combos, and the Warlock managed to taunt up followed by Tar Lurker the next turn, even though I had a strong Argent Squire + Blowgill Sniper token ping beforehand. I guess you could call that bad luck.
This definitely helps me asses my deck in future arena runs, because although my deck was convenient to play, it ultimately is the kind that is too situational, as an opponent who can lay down the early taunt/removal would get the upper hand almost immediately, and make it hard for you to come back.

Also only real card draw isGnomish Inventor, but with so many cards being able to add more cards to my hand I don't think its that big of a deal ^>^
So here's how the matches went.
